one wouldn't really except it from xingchen, since he's so warm/friendly to people that he seems to act like they're Already Friends, but on the flip side he also never really lets anyone close enough to properly open up to them or let them help him the way he tries to help them... a problem he already had before Certain Things In Canon made him even more guarded, and now it's just worse.

i guess you could say that he's good at making friends as an act of care toward others, not as a mutually-beneficial thing.

either way, i would love this. there's the added benefit of him probably never actually treating five like a child, since he can't see him to gauge by appearance and five gives off strong enough Salty Adult vibes to counteract how young his voice sounds.

This all sounds so good. :D I'm doing a network post soon where he advertises having a specialty drink at the casino for people who have their shorts in a shambles after the event, but we can work out something else if that isn't his jam!

i'm on unofficial impromtu hiatus at the moment for unforseen reasons but i'm always down to hop into it late if i miss it! it isn't his jam, but he might ask follow-up questions about the bar since he knows jc is specifically looking for a certain form of alcohol and he said he'd keep an eye out.
