Get off his case already geez you're not his mom. >:(So Rick initially latched onto Butters because he perceived him as someone who could be easily bullied, but continues to be surprised by just how much Butters is pushing back. He's also been pretty surprised by how much he actually enjoys talking to Butters, but he's actually a plucky little smartass and they seem to have similar down to earth views on the otherworldly and supernatural because that's just what they deal with on a regular basis. Sometimes it's nice to have a casual conversation about dealing with faeries or whatever. So now he's latching onto him for a whole bunch of other reasons and if he finds out about project deathmatch and Butters' "monsters should eat each other", he'll definitely be shocked and maybe kind of impressed.
I'm really enjoying how their dynamic is developing especially now that they're both dealing with monster changes and coping with them in their own ways. I like that Butters is reasonably suspicious of Rick and that he's calling him out a little. And Hell, I was a little taken aback and a little heartwarmed by his Hippocratic Oath reasoning for not pulling his teeth out in the alley.
(Also, he will absolutely never admit it, but Butters definitely made the right call about murdering Zack for parts and he's really glad he held his ground there.)

omfgRick severely underestimated AM the first time they met. He kind of paid for it, but that definitely hasn't deterred him from wanting to hang out with AM.
Even though he's definitely figured out that AM is some kind of sadist, but doesn't know just how sadistic he is yet. Sure, AM probably made the tooth pulling hurt more than it needed to and maybe he completely mindfucked him at the end, but ultimately, he did exactly what Rick had asked him to do so he's not exactly going to hold a grudge. Ultimately, he thinks AM's kind of theatrical and imperious, but ultimately a pretty cool guy so yeah, they should totally hang out again.
I'm very interested to see where this goes. I really like their dynamic and I think they make interesting foils because they're both dangerous, destructive creatures, but they're awful in different ways.
Also, they get on really well playing CAH and Pictionary (because I guess it helped them discover that they both love bullying people) and that amuses me to to no end.

He's entirely over Dandy stealing his hammer by this point, but he would absolutely steal it back out of spite if he got the opportunity. He thinks he's kind of a tool who doesn't know what animals are, but he's enjoyed the handful of conversations they've had on the network and he'd be down to hang out. I mean, he's down to party, he runs an AWESOME bar that looks like a space station and he's traveled to other worlds (also, they both have the emotional maturity of a child, so it's great!).
Honestly, this CR has been delightful. It's been a lot of fun playing these two off each other, but I didn't expect them to have so much in common and I really didn't expect Rick to relate to Dandy this much (not that he'll ever admit it), but here we are.

Rick has no idea of what to make of Faust half the time and he has encountered some very strange people in his time. He's clearly an altruist and he's unbelievably earnest, but then he'll throw out something like "I KNOW THE BONES" or "I HAVE LITERALLY RAISED HELL" and... what are you supposed to make of that? At this point, he's pretty sure Faust would never be anything but entirely earnest, so he just kind of taking it all at face value. Faust knows the bones. Sure.
Ultimately, Faust is just a good person and Rick has a really hard time wrapping his mind around that because he's a cynical asshole. That being said, Rick does keep actively seeking him out and is always really glad to see him. I think he likes him in part because he's so baffled by him and because he kind of throws him off his game a little.
I really love their dynamic and I think they're interesting foils because they're both a little dark and a little unstable, but they're polar opposites in so many ways. You had me at "Let me diagnose your pendulous balls."

If you're in great pain, let him strip you for parts.Nah, not really. Seriously, Rick is VERY GLAD Butters talked him out of murdering Zack for parts. Sure, Zack is a belligerent little shit and he got all worked up about his grim reaper aesthetic or something, but he's really pissed off and given the circumstances, Rick can respect that. He also went all out and smashed up a whole bunch of stuff at the party, so yeah... awesome.
I'm pretty psyched to see where this CR goes because they're both pissed off, belligerent and miserable and only good things can come of this.
