MISTLETOE MEME

YOU KNOW WHAT THE DANG THING IS
Christmastime is in the air! So much so, that it seems you've come across some mistletoe... and can't seem to pull yourself away. Worse still, someone else is there with you. There's only one way to break the enchantment...
1. Post a top level!
2. Tag out!
3. ???
4. Profit?
Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays, everyone!

A compulsion, hm?
[He leans in slightly.]
You felt compelled to get me under the mistletoe?
no subject
Enchanted mistletoe. Fun, huh?
no subject
You know, that just sounds like a bad pick up line.
no subject
[And he stands there, pulled into the mistletoe's orbit, not willing to let go and kiss AM. Also not able to reach even if he was willing.]
Uh, there's ways to defuse spells. Salt maybe? Water? I guess a sprinkler system is out of the question here?
no subject
What did you do?
[He's not as angry as he might otherwise be because he seems to realize that Waldo is not directly responsible. But he's still annoying.]
Salt won't work. Don't you dare use it.
no subject
And I don't have any salt anyway.
[He blinks, wasn't there something about demons and...]
Wait, why don't you want me to try salt?
no subject
Mph. [A grunt of annoyance as he swallows his anger.] Nothing. It just won't work.
[A deep breath. Don't kill Waldo yet. Not until he gets them out of this mess.]
Now, since you were the one compelled to get me under this plant, get us out of it.
no subject
Oh-kay. [He looks at AM skeptically.]
So no salt. What else breaks spells? Daylight, running water. If we had a sprinkler system that would be perfect.
Maybe destroying the mistletoe? [He finds he's unconsciously raised himself up on tiptoe and he settles down again.]
You can reach it, can't you?
no subject
[Of course, fire destroys plants. It's silly to even blame all of this on a plant anyway, but there's no harm in trying, right? He can reach it with his hand, but he could also just cast a fire spell, so that's what he does, aiming a small ball of fire at the thing.
Unfortunately, it doesn't work. The plant seems to shield itself from the flame, as if it was made of metal. With a growl of disapproval, AM reaches and attempts to snatch it. And while he has his hand on it, it still won't budge.]
Well, this isn't working!
[Now he's getting angry....]
no subject
[He's frustrated: he doesn't want to be here any more than AM does. Maybe less.]
Maybe the compulsion is laid on the area rather than the plant itself. If we knew why it was here, we'd have a better idea of how to get rid of it. And it's...oh... maybe there's a reason it's mistletoe.
no subject
It's here because of the holidays, is it not? Some idiot decided to use the plant as a decoy.
[But if it's a machine, it will have a way to deactivate... right?]
