[But at the moment, he's glaring up at the mistletoe which has... apparently trapped him here. What other explanation could there be for the fact that he can't seem to move away? Ugh... of all the luck...]

[When Hawkeye does mistletoe, he does it full-force, which in this case means grabbing Kain without warning and kissing him full on the lips. Then the dip.]

[Ahhh, lich-mouth, nooooo!!! At least it happens quicker than Kain can manage to react to at first... Which is probably for the best, so that his sharp teeth and claws didn't get involved. There's just a moment of responding to the kiss, which happens all automatically and unexpectedly... There totally is that dip too.]

May I ask... what compelled you to do that?

[He jabs a finger up at the mistletoe overhead.]

[Oh, right, is it that time of year again? Time for another of Ryslig's weird holidays.]

That figures... I was going to make a point to avoid those plants this time, but it seems I wasn't prepared.

[Kain sighs. It's not as if it... was such a bad thing, no harm done and all, right? Plus, he didn't get 'rescued' by AM, which is something of a bonus this time around.]

I just don't like it when this world influences us in such ways... [A pause.] The dip itself was an exciting touch.

Well, it's not the most glowing review I've ever had, but I'll take it.

[Hawkeye pats his shoulder good-naturedly.]

Anyway, what's this about influencing us? I'm just getting in the festive mood.

[He frowns up at the mistletoe, trying his best not to stand directly underneath it again.]

It's this plant, apparently it has this effect on people. It seems to always just appear around this time of year, too, so I'd assume it's the doing of the gods. Who else has such power?

That... that plant. It traps people beneath it, and the only means to get free is a kiss. I'm not too sure how it works. I've often wondered if it also compels people to kiss, as well. I wouldn't put such an effect past these gods.

[Especially given some of the other things they've pulled in the past.]
