Wrench and Okabe seem like they would either be a wonderful and hilarious fit, or a terrible and disastrous one.

Either way I desire this, especially if it's in the interests of upgrading the internet to, like, 2010-level or some such. At least.

wrench could always use more techy buddies! he's like offended by how shitty the computers are around here. they need to suck less like yesterday.

I wonder if they really could improve it game-wide if they put their heads together? Okabe's a social dumbass, but he's undeniably pretty science savvy; between him and Daru, they hack stuff, add new ports to an old 1970s computer, make ridiculous hodgepodge mechanical inventions, and eventually create the prototype for a working time machine, among other things.

And troll internet message boards, but that's not important, of course.

i don't know how possible/viable/allowed it is, but it's definitely worth trying even if it ends up in failing! wrench refuses to work for whoever's actually distributing the laptops because it feels too corporate, so he'd be totally up for trying his own homebrew kinda shit out.

and the more the merrier in figuring that kind of thing out.
