TEST DRIVE MEME
TEST DRIVE MEME | ||
Welcome to Ryslig's test drive meme! If you're considering apping here, this is where you can try your characters out in the game's setting. A few things to note:
Sample scenarios: SCENARIO ONE: You've just been released from the hospital in Vandare and no one really seems to know what to do with you. The locals offer polite advice but don't seem to want to spend a lot of time with you. You and the other new arrivals stick out like sore thumbs, so perhaps one will spot you wandering about town. |

"Anyway, I'll try and get you out of these woods. Unless you want to hear whatever it is around here laugh at us forever."

He shook his head, but didn't shudder. "Apparently people go missing in here a lot."
no subject
"You mentioned people are grouping together," he said as he walked. "That mean you made some friends here? Maybe friends who look like you?"
no subject
He shrugged, feeling more and more self-conscious the longer Seren kept his eyes on him. Was he staring? Lenus felt like he was staring. "Only a couple I've seen that look like I do, though. And there's some variation happening, too."

"Most people think its the fog and a 'fog god' that's related to it. Whatever it is, the people who weren't brought here like we are aren't changing into anything, so I'd assume that they're immune to it."
no subject
He was quiet, looking up from the path to Lenus's back, then added softly, "...you ain't alone now."
no subject
He rubbed the bridge of his nose. "And I can't exactly be happy that you're here, you know." He glanced at Seren over his shoulder. "It hurts. I don't know if it will for you, but when it happens, it hurts."

His lips drew tight a moment--as tight as they could around his lower fangs. "Otherwise I would have had at least a few prototype cures made by now."
no subject
"I'll use my method of alchemy instead of your Bergun method. I assume you've been looking through what reagents this crazy place has," he said, picking up his pace to walk alongside Lenus and watch his profile. "So we go back to wherever you're stayin' and I get to work."
no subject
His head lifted and his eyes widened slightly as though he had just remembered something. "It might be a good idea to ask first before you start taking anything. I know it sounds weird, but the people who have been turned into plants kind of take it personally when you do any damage to the plantlife around here."

He got a sudden flashback to a giant tree, an angry giant bird and the pain of something writhing in his chest. He swallowed and lifted his good hand to make a fist over his chest. "...on second thought, maybe askin' first ain't a bad idea."
no subject
He let out an annoyed sigh. "I don't know how to explain it."

"You're kind of lucky that you managed to get lost here at night. Otherwise I'd probably still be asleep."

The last thing either of them needed right now was unrequited love, right?
"Nocturnal, huh?" he said instead. "Good to know."
no subject
"If you need somewhere to stay later on, let me know, okay? I'll try and keep a hold on myself in the meantime."

Lenus looked away, folding his arms loosely. "There are things I have to get used to first. I'm turning into a monster, you know. I don't even know how many more changes there will be. I want to be sure of that first."
no subject
"Got it," he said tightly, walking out of the trees entirely. "I'll just stay outta your way, then. Thanks for the way out."
no subject
He turned and walked away.

"Lenus..." he sighed, closing his eyes. In the dark of the woods, the shadows laughed at him.
