Sample scenarios:
SCENARIO ONE: You've just been released from the hospital in Vandare and no one really seems to know what to do with you. The locals offer polite advice but don't seem to want to spend a lot of time with you. You and the other new arrivals stick out like sore thumbs, so perhaps one will spot you wandering about town.
SCENARIO TWO: You've become hopelessly lost in Lager Woods. Paths don't seem to lead where you remember them leading, and you feel as if you're going around in circles. Childlike giggling can be heard from no direction in particular. Suddenly, you stumble upon another character, who seems to be just as lost as you! Perhaps you can find a way out together.
SCENARIO THREE: The time has come and you've found yourself becoming a monster. Is the change instant, or gradual? Are you familiar enough with monsters to know what's happening, or is it a complete shock? NOTE: Feel free to pick any monster type for this prompt, but note that you may not get the same one in game.
The laughing wasn't stopping anytime soon and it annoyed her greatly. Perhaps it was due to her time in the TV World but she didn't call out for help like anyone else would. Screaming would attract anyone not welcome...that and all the horror movies showed that the bad guys would easily catch their targets that way. Yukiko was dense at times but not when it came to her own life. Which meant finding a rather sturdy branch as a makeshift weapon. It was no fan but it would have to do.
Anyone close by would notice a teenage girl wearing red almost like a target...but she was also being careful and quiet. Suddenly going up to her might not be the best route.
3ish: Vampire
It's been awhile since she made her first transformation. To drink the blood of others still made her sick to her stomach but it was the only way she could survive. Her victims knew it as well before they died: she always seemed to have tears in her eyes and whisper apologies before ending their feeble lives. It was a way to live and she was disgusted by it.
She missed her old life, being able to walk around in the sun and not fear getting burned or the fact that she was already dead. Instead she wandered in the woods and kept to herself, keeping herself hidden unless someone spotted her. And if they were human, they wouldn't have seen her for long.
A single voice pierces the silence, almost warning anyone else nearby to come. The laughter subsides as it disappears when whatever was causing it to wisely take their leave. A hoofed foot effortlessly moves the dirt nearby, blending into the darkness. It's only the dark red eyes that glow slightly that hint of who is there, his wings are clasped behind him, tail swishing in the air back and forth.
He looks at her chosen weapon branch in slight amusement, giving her a thumbs up. He really was Yu, after all.
If it wasn't for the familiar voice, Yukiko might have clocked him one. Then again, sticks are nothing to a demon. Hell, it would be odd for a human and a monster to talk like nothing has changed or that this was just another day in their life.
"Thank goodness, I thought something else was out there." she sighed in relief. Since that little incident, she's been careful around him. And if he was close to wanting to eat her soul again...Yukiko gave him a good smack in reply. It's worked so far.
"What were you doing here?" he asked, looking around to see if he was spotting any predators or other monsters. Hell hath no fury if she had been followed by something, he'd make them regret it. No one else could touch his friends but him, and his beast was contained enough that he didn't want to hurt them ever again.
There were slip-ups of course. It was hard keeping that in check, especially when trying to balance when he should be eating and how much to minimize human deaths yet appease himself. To control the dark urges which nibbled away at him every day.
But today he had had his full, and had chanced upon her during his return trip.
"No one was following you, right?"

"Er, would it surprise you if I said I somehow got myself lost?"
Which was entirely true. She wanted to find Yu and let him know how the investigation was going, which included the latest frenzy from the townspeople.
"I made sure no one followed me. I was really quiet and slipped away when everyone else was busy."
A chuckle escaped his lips. A genuine one too, not the horrible laughter that he sometimes did when he was caught by his own darkness.
"Well, we don't have glasses to aid us against the fog and forest...I have pretty good vision now, so that helps me out." He took a small bow to be more to her height, and offered her his right arm to hold onto.
"I'll walk you to the edge of the forest. You should really be more careful, Yukiko, it's been a while since you've been here too."
That was the Yu Narukami she knew, not the one the townspeople thought of and wanted to harm. It was good to know that despite the darkness that tried to claw itself out of him, he still held onto that humanity. She didn't want to go through another incident like before. Not to mention he did steal her first kiss despite the true intent on wanting her soul.
Moving on.
"I wanted to come and talk to you about how the investigation is going. We thought it would be good for you to know what's going on."
If he could have heard her thoughts, he probably would have apologized for that one all over again. Even if, deep down, he probably was satisfied with that first kiss...nearly soul stealing aside.
"What I wouldn't do for a cellphone just about now..." it could have saved them much harm and problems. He began to walk her back to the entrance, figuring they could catch up as they talked.
"So, what's the news? Has Naoto uncovered something?"
They all wish they had phones on them, it would be much easier to talk and keep in contact without the fear of stirring the pot in the town. As she took his arm, Yukiko started to explain what the rest of the team have discovered. While it wasn't much to go on, it was at least something to give them hope. Not to mention any warnings if the natives were going to come after those who have changed.
"A lot of the creatures people have been turning into seem to be from mythology. If we can figure out how they can turn back, it might work here too."
His own transformation had not been a simple one; he is now the furthest from his old life, whether he chooses to think of the one he'd had in the city or the one he'd been making for himself in Inaba, than he ever could have thought he'd be. The first time he'd forced himself to feed on a human soul - it had been either that, or go mad, risk losing his self-control and attacking someone, and without knowing whether or not more of his friends were here, he couldn't have risked that - he'd felt his own humanity slowly ebbing away, lost in the shroud of darkness that he now felt himself cloaked in.
Even now, he isn't sure how much of himself remains intact.
The flash of red, even in darkness, is a tell-tale giveaway, and though his approach is cautious, he couldn't have kept himself from speaking to her even if he'd thought to try. His voice is soft, so much like the friend she would have known from before, even as the glowing white eyes of a shade in human form will surely give him away.
She heard that voice, knew it all too well for her own good. Her first instinct was to scream at him and get him to leave before she would hurt him. But then when she turned to face him, it wasn't exactly himself she was looking at. Did he...turn too?
It was a really, really stupid idea. Sword in hand, Yuuya had walked to the nearby forest after talks of monsters nearby. Well more like the inhabitants of the town were always glaring at him since his arrival, having gotten worse the last week he'd been here.
Rumors that they were turning into monsters hadn't escaped his ears, but really! He felt perfectly fine, apart from the lack of his persona. Maybe sometimes he was a tiny bit hungrier than before, but nothing an extra piece of meet couldn't But that was alright, he was determined to walk his own path.
So why did he feel the need to be here? If he did meet a monster, he wasn't even sure what he could do. Not to mention that headache that was beginning to rise, threatening to destroy his concentration. Urrgh...maybe he should just return home and tell them he saw nothing.
They all feel a pull someday, it's only a matter of time really.
As he stepped closer, he could hear a shuffling noise like someone trying to get away from him. Almost like they were frightened for some reason. The only thing he might catch is a flash of red and maybe some raven colored hair as it seemed to vanish within a bundle of trees.

So his new monster form is kick to the face got it (wait)
Definitely something out there. It just made his headache swell up, and he still had half of an urge to return home anyway so he could drink and hopefully get this feeling out of him. Until he catches a glimpse of the hair color and in his daze reminds him of a good friend.
"Eriko? ...Urgggh..." Shit, he's not being quiet about this at all. He doesn't even bother playing it safely by this point, removing his sword from its sheath.
The rustling stopped as whatever he was chasing made a little hole in some nearby brush. The only way the guy could know someone was there due to the eyes peeking out.
"Why are you following me?" It was supposed to be threatening but it just came out as a squeak.
"I never could. It was the same for most of my friends except for one: he could use a lot of them at once."
But he really didn't answer her question from earlier...maybe she could try talking to him and get some information out. It was hard doing it as a bird after all.
"Hi-yaa!" In contrast to Yukiko's quiet approach through the forest, Chie has decided her best course of action is to just kick her way past anything suspicious. Though she hasn't done much more than kick up a lot of leaves, at the very least whatever is hiding out there seems hesitant to approach the load chick, and that suits her just fine.
However, as tactics go, perhaps it wasn't so hot, as her kick missed its mark and struck a tree instead. "Ow! Crap, that hurt- huh?"
Looking up from her pained foot, she blinked up at the other girl, then broke into a smile. "Yukiko! Thank god, I'm glad I found you. That laughter was starting to give me the creeps!"
Chie, you are her bestie and everything but the way you are handling things will lead the monsters to you. And since they do not have their personas to protect them, it's not best to kick trees and yell. Besides, she nearly mistaken the girl as one of those nasty creatures.
"Chie?! I was wondering who was making all that noise! I could've hurt you!"
