CHARACTERS: Otto Octavius (
TELL US ABOUT YOUR CHARACTERS:
Otto is a physicist, former supervillain, widower with massive Dad vibes! He's a Fourth-allied Merperson living in Hill House and has a job at Liewen Labs, Bavan Branch. When Oscorp was left to Peter Parker, Otto jumped in to help out with that, so I guess he's part in charge of that too. He's teaching some Physics classes at the Strickler school too, which is being handwaved.
Steven is a British nerd who comes with a love for history, a part-time job as superhero (Mr. Knight), a sketchy husband by the name of Quentin Beck... And a CW for Hollywood DID, which by now has re-manifested itself into a hunger-triggered bastard of an alter. He's Fog-aligned, and also, he's vegan! He's living at the 38-8 and was left in charge of the College of Archaeology, now also helping Lust with the Lighthouse.
HOW DID YOUR CHARACTER HANDLE THE LATEST EVENT?:
I had to sit this one out for the most part, because I was a little too busy catching up on all my other tags, sob. NEXT TIIIMEEE!

Otto: He's been low-key working on a tier up scheme for the Fourth, but I'm a liiittle stuck on the execution. I have the setup, but I still need some sort of payoff. I'll figure it out though! It probably won't be a player plot either way. Either way, more CR with Fourthies, and also more CR in general would be great for this man.
Steven: By now, he's coming to terms with the fact that he's aligned with the Fog, and is figuring out whether he wants to take that further or just be grateful for the (partly unknown) boons he has. The fact that more and more friends keep disappearing is terrifying to him, especially now that he has a lot to lose. He's had chats with a few Fog followers about whether strengthening her would help keep people on the peninsula, but could definitely benefit from a few more Fog chats.

CHARACTERS: Ryou Bakura
TELL US ABOUT YOUR CHARACTERS: Self-professed master of all board games! If you think he doesn't simp for Monopoly you're wrong!
Ryou comes from the magical land of Yu-Gi-Oh where the games matter ALWAYS, and the gold is souls. More seriously speaking, he's part of the main character's friendgroup despite being the host for the series' big bad. He was generally a nice guy, with weird interests in the occult and a high level of confidence when it comes to TTRPGs and other board-based games.
Now after being in Ryslig for over 3 years, he's had to adapt to the situation and it's made him a little rougher around the edges...to the tune of tiering up into a Fog Priest. Of the Fog's cadre of priests, I'd say he's the least likely (aside from AM) to bend your ear with religious rhetoric, and he's certainly the least aggressive of the group. He joined for power, and now spends his time trying to make it through each month as best he can.
HOW DID YOUR CHARACTER HANDLE THE LATEST EVENT?: Ryou did end up in the Hell(raiser) labyrinth and he ended up dying like, a bunch? None of it counts, but he thought it did until he got out, which led to him going through a lot of non-permanent memloss that he then had to wait to wear off, and led to some real weird shenanigans where he couldn't remember people he's known for years! Once he got out, he tried to help who he could (within my limitations for tagging since work is a hellhole of its own and saps the life outta me.)
Post event I haven't done much yet, but he's going to be very shaken up by that and possibly struggle to reach out to his support group. He's been going through trouble with THAT too, but I do want him to reach out!
OTHER SCENARIOS YOU'RE INTERESTED IN: Ryou is finally (probably) going to move back to his real home, and out of the 38-8. He's not really over how big it is, and how alone he'll feel, but that's the home that he and Atem made for each other, and he's spent enough time waiting to see if Atem would come back, and recreating their home in the 38-8 like some kind of cosmic pspspspsps. I keep batting around if I'll write a log for that like I did last time.
Other than that, honestly he wants to help newbies acclimate as best he can but he hasn't found an overly active role to take for that, so maybe I can find something for him to do there.
MORE IMPORTANTLY, i want to branch out my CR as best I can in the coming months, so if your character wants to ask Fog related questions or discuss his opinions on the factions and gods in general (most opinions of which involve Don't) or simply poke at a slenderman, I will try to make more opportunities for it, while also being open to workshopping!
Bonus thought is, I'm considering having him pick up Poundmates if no one else has, but I haven't fully decided yet.

ANYTHING ELSE: My tagging schedule is BALLS due to being an often-abandoned pillar of my department, but I am looking into a surgery that will leave me out of work for a few months and pretty well trapped in bed, so we'll see if that affects it any. :') Additionally, I ask if you guys see me missing a trigger that may have caused discomfort, please let me know! I try to be good, but sometimes I'm not sure what all requires notation and it is a neverending learning process!

HOW DID YOUR CHARACTER HANDLE THE LATEST EVENT?: heeee ate sherlock in the labyrinth and he’s going to be beyond sad about that (im still in backtag city this month was a lil rough), but in other news he has recently joined a pro ryslig native vb team earlier this month, the minotaur mavericks!! the opening game was supposed to be on the 24th and i rolled a 3-1 game against woodland waldgeists with the mavs taking victory, so!!! 🎉🎊 something to celebrate!!

HOW DID YOUR CHARACTER HANDLE THE LATEST EVENT?: huh huh mizu has a top level for that which is short and sweet! get a chance to boss fight abijah, one of her possible sires, that could also be mixed and matched with other hells she’s lived, as well as learning something early about her considering she’s very closed off, and it’d take a while for her to open up otherwise.

CHARACTERS: I keep meaning to bring another but Sherlock's in full swing, so not quite yet!
TELL US ABOUT YOUR CHARACTERS: It's Sherlock Holmes. You know him, you love him. Only this version is 24, a little gay, sitting on hella childhood trauma, knows Cthulhu is real in his world, hallucinated himself a childhood friend who's Come Back Wrong in Ryslig, and is finally neither bored nor lonely. He is currently working at a consulting morgue, taking ordinary cases, looking into coercion crime in Djavulenstad, and trying to get organ donor style consent for one's remains to be eaten on ID cards and agreements with hospitals to get premortem cannibalism consent from patients with poor prognosis with only limited success. He's a busy bee. Luckily, as a tier 3 Fourthie, he no longer technically needs to sleep!
HOW DID YOUR CHARACTER HANDLE THE LATEST EVENT?: HA HA. God he spent the whole time tripping balls while an embarrassing man he hoped he would never see again tried to gaslight him into believing Ryslig was a delusion. Several people pulled him out and got tasty backstory lore out of it, about his mother and the person who was framed for her death. He'll probably come out of this deeply embarrassed but mostly OK.
OTHER SCENARIOS YOU'RE INTERESTED IN: Sherlock is doing mostly well, but there are a few rakes in front of him to step on! For one thing, he is a a stealth Fourthie, living a double life thanks to a god boon that disguises his appearance/scent/fibers/prints. I'm working on having that come out eventually! Also, the morgue offers energy feeders/drowners meals when available, as sometimes they receive victims whose souls are gone but are otherwise alive. Plot with me if you want in! It's an easy way to get food, but it won't always be available, so you can still have your guy hunt/kill if you want.
He doesn't really want to be on the welcoming committee, but he's a good guy to talk to if you care a lot about moral frameworks and want to find a way to hold onto not killing as much as possible outside of events. Or if you find Ryslig unbelievable and have to come to terms with it being real.
I'm also always down for fourth walling, even if Sherlock himself is surly but resigned to it.
Basically, Sherlock is trying really hard to hold onto his humanity and morality, and only mostly succeeding. Looking forward to having him step on rakes.

CHARACTERS: Still just Merlin for now
TELL US ABOUT YOUR CHARACTERS: Merlin (yes, that Merlin) is a former wizard prince who spent most of his time adventuring, saving princesses and definitely didn't get cursed for his shitty attitude. He...he got better. Now that he's in Ryslig, he spends most of his time missing his wife, working a food industry job no prince was ever raised to handle, and being the Merain resident pet boy. He's also a dragon now and it's his own damn fault.
HOW DID YOUR CHARACTER HANDLE THE LATEST EVENT?: Nooooot the greatest, but also...not the worst? Once Merlin found out none of it was "real," he was able to bounce back pretty quickly. And by bounce back, I mean suppress all his feelings about it and never talk about it ever again. That's probably really healthy.
OTHER SCENARIOS YOU'RE INTERESTED IN: I know "more CR please" isn't the best answer, but just like everyone else, Merlin's lost a lot of people he knows. Oh no! Expanding his circle in general would be great.
That said, a lot of his friends already seem to be big on the Fog, and Merlin is struggling with that and his fairy tale sensibilities. Some of his friends are planning shifty shit, others are rising in ranks, and the village he lives in his pretty pro fog. He also hates to admit that he believes outright getting rid of the Fog God would go against everyone's best interests. Am I saying he could be swayed to join? Probably not, but I would like to continue having him question his morals.
Other stuff includes learning how to fly properly and dealing with the fact that he can't really passively eat humans anymore, so here comes baby's first hunt.

CHARACTERS: Marc Spector
TELL US ABOUT YOUR CHARACTERS: Marc is a newbie Werebear here and quite mistrusting of absolutely everything, but that's mostly because he's cynical and paranoid by nature, and has dealt with more than his fair share of gods who have taken advantage of humans, so he doesn't like the life parallels, thanks! He's a former "superhero" and avatar to a moon god, with a huge CW for Hollywood DID, lots of childhood trauma, and terrible coping mechanisms (mainly alcohol). Outside of being a killjoy, he can be pretty laid back once he's comfortable around people and is known to enjoy terrible D-list media, so he has a weird sense of humor at times. He's also a big fan of parkour and playing with knives.
HOW DID YOUR CHARACTER HANDLE THE LATEST EVENT?: He sat out since he's a new arrival and also went to his alter's wedding less than a week after showing up so... he's still Coping. I'll get him next time.
OTHER SCENARIOS YOU'RE INTERESTED IN: Marc is still very new so I'm open to him making friendly acquaintances who eventually turn to friends, antagonistic relationships, butting heads, etc. I truly am "open to anything."
He's easily the kind of character who could close himself off and not interact with anyone but the people he already knows, so any excuse to get him out there and meeting people against his will, I am down for. The transformations are going to fuck up his mental state though, so he's going to be in Trying-to-Cope mode for a few months.

TELL US ABOUT YOUR CHARACTERS:
Marco is a former tech CEO, current... sole employee of McGucket Labs and priest of the Fourth God who is genuinely trying his best. He's been feeling pretty awful on several levels since his husband disappeared from the peninsula, depressed and afraid of relapsing into bad habits.
Doppio is a sweet young boy who is at least 35 years old by now, and was formerly second-in-command to a mob boss actively responsible for an increase in drug-related crimes and deaths in Italy. Only really figured out how old he is about a year ago or so. Still stubbornly refuses to figure out other things, such as the identity of the big buff pink deer who occasionally wreaks havoc during the fog.
HOW DID YOUR CHARACTER HANDLE THE LATEST EVENT?:
Marco basically got out of his room ASAP (read: I did not write a top level for him) and wandered, trying to rescue other people in the process. It was... a distraction of sorts? Sure, let's go with that.
Doppio's TL is over here, still taking tag-ins because time is fake, and uhhhh. I am not entirely sure how he's gonna come out of it yet! Depends on how his threads go. He could learn something. He could learn nothing. It'll probably be the latter.
