[Britta somehow makes it from the beach to the city of Bavan, her hair damp and matted, and sand sticking to her skin. The cuts and grazes burn and bite, and she barely manages to avoid the bear traps littering the beach. She steps out onto the sidewalk, runs a hand through her hair, and stares at the passing cars, the buildings.]
What the... hell happened last night? [She blinks; she could have sworn she fell asleep at the computer last night, writing her part of an assignment due that morning. So how did she wind up here? A human jogs up to her, grins, and eagerly hands her a bright, yellow pamphlet.]
Oh! H-Hey! [She calls out but the human is already dashing around the corner, clearly on a mission to hand out pamphlets to select people only. Britta notes that the stranger ignored everyone else, and zeroed in on her.]
....Weird. [Britta says under her breath, and looks down at the pamphlet in her hands.] What monster will you become? Do this quiz and find out. [Britta reads the pamphlet out aloud, the words printed in bold, black print. She scoffs, scrunches it up into a ball, and immediately drops it into a nearby trash can.]
Yeah, okay. I am throwing that away. In the trash, because I care about the environment.

[And soon, Britta discovers that monsters are an actual thing. She is in a city called Bavan, brought here by a Fog God who wants to use her to fight her stupid war, and soon she will become a monster herself.
And this is not okay!
Onlookers will see Britta standing in the middle of the park with a protest sign in her hand. She stands on a small podium, and because she doesn't have a megaphone, she's yelling into a rolled-up newspaper instead.]
The Fog God has brought people here without their consent, people! She turns them into monsters without their consent! We need to fight back against this abuse! Oppression!
[Most people are staring at her, whispering and raising their eyebrows but she has managed to convince a couple of humans to stand with her; they march back and forth with protest signs raised in the air.]
Don't be a cog in this monstrous machine! Rise up against the Fog! [She turns to a wooden stand that she's set up. On it is a... weirdly oversized cotton ball with a sign in front of it that says "The Fog." One of Britta's fellow protestors throws an egg at it and misses but that's okay! They just pull another egg out of their coat (?!) and they try again!]
The people against the Fog! Because the Fog's against the people! [Britta starts chanting. She has no idea what she might be attracting with this... display.]
