Welcome to Ryslig's test drive meme! If you're considering apping here, this is where you can try your characters out in the game's setting. A few things to note:
Lots of people have asked good questions on the FAQ, so do take a look.
You can only app ONE character per round so choose wisely.
Test drive meme threads can be used for your roleplay sample!
NEW! Players with characters already in the game can earn up to a maximum of 3 coins by replying to potential character threads! You will need to have your normal 20 comment AC in the game. You cannot use this to go over the bonus 10 coins per month total, but you can use it if you are missing some threads to reach that coin total. Same rules as normal bonuses apply.
Sample scenarios:
SCENARIO ONE: So you've just arrived, fresh out of the hospital, and already the natives are trying to get on your good side. Offers of food, shelter and other luxuries in return for hoping you don't eat them. They even have some helpful pamphlets to share with you. "How To Deal With Changes", "Alternatives to Human Flesh", "What to Expect When You're Expecting (to turn into a monster)" are all great pamphlets. There's even some detailing certain monsters, and the changes they go through.
Among these however, are some... not so helpful ones. "Bunnyipyips And You", "Axe Thief Axehounds," and "So you're becoming a Fur Bearing Trout" among others.
SCENARIO TWO: You've become hopelessly lost in Lager Woods. Paths don't seem to lead where you remember them leading, and you feel as if you're going around in circles. Childlike giggling can be heard from no direction in particular. Suddenly, you stumble upon another character, who seems to be just as lost as you! Perhaps you can find a way out together.
SCENARIO THREE: You've heard about the fog, but you've never seen it before. Now, the mist surrounds you. Barely able to see before you, you need to get home - and fast. It's far too dangerous in this situation.
SCENARIO FOUR: The time has come and you've found yourself becoming a monster. Is the change instant, or gradual? Are you familiar enough with monsters to know what's happening, or is it a complete shock? NOTE: Feel free to pick any monster type for this prompt, but note that you may not get the same one in game.

Okay, first off. I think you should know that Kairi and I have since discussed that, and apologies were made, and everything's all cleared up now. We're friends now. Just. So you know.
[ Hm, he seems a lot more like a gangly, awkward nerd of a young adult, and less of a laser-focused, icily determined shadow assassin, now that he's not walking out of portals and snatching young women into hellmouths. ]

[Yeah she's not sure if she trusts you yet. She'll stare suspiciously for a moment or two, hands still clutching phamplets and the paper with the guys number on it, before hmming hard in thought.]
Well... You don't seem that bad right now. I guess it's okay. Is Kairi okay? Is she here?
[Plus he definitely seems sort of... well, like if he was her age, just another teen getting into scruffs on the street. At least he's not setting hair on fire.]
[Olette's not going to hold a grudge when she's stuck in an alternate universe and told she's going to turn into a monster, and he's the only person she recognizes.
Not that she's going to be holding hands with him and skipping off merrily any time soon.
She relaxes a little more when he says Kairi was okay. Her not being here is great news though. Not with monsters and such.]
I'm Olette. Do you think any of this is real? I wonder if it could be that simulation? [Is she going to find the simulated her walking around?]
[ DiZ had altered Roxas's memories, hadn't he? Could he have dropped Lea here and erased his memory of how he got here?
But... He'd had to build the computer model on a world that already existed: Twilight Town. And even then, he could only code a few areas. This world, on the other hand, is pretty large, and has lots of people in it. It seems like a tall order.
Lea rubs the back of his neck pensively. ]
I don't... I don't think it's a simulated world. It's a little too big. Too much data. I was in that world, and it fell a little flat. There's only so much you can fit in a computer.
[That last part had been said more to herself, but she looks surprised when he seems to know what she means.
Then eager. If this is a simulation they can get out right?! They just gotta... she doesn't know, break the code? Pence would be all over this.
Though her expression falls when he says he doubts it.]
Well, it was worth a shot. [Now that some of the shock is over, and her worry over what flame head here might do, she's relaxing a little] If they think I'm going to be eating people, they can forget it. It sounds like a weird monster movie.
