NATTENS-GIFTING MEME [AND RECEIVING MEME]
AND YOU GET COOKIES AND YOU GET COOKIES-
The Holidays are here, and for many of us, it's literal! With all the hustle and bustle of the Real Live Holidays, it can get pretty stressful though- and for that matter way too draining to put the same kind of focus on hitting inboxes one by one, or making lists.
Which is exactly what this meme is for! How it Works is simple- all you do is make a comment. It could have a list of goodies planned out for your monster's CR. It could be a simple statement of who should've got something, without specifics. Maybe a comment that just says, 'So and so made cookies for everyone', or 'So and so is a huge Scrooge, and got you nothing!' You can even leave it blank- a spot where people can drop gifts off to you instead, rather than seeking out the inbox. The world is your oyster! ....Tree. Oystree.

NOA'S GIFT LIST
- AM's stress squeezy seems to resemble some sort of CPU. It might even have the number '4' on it. How sweet.
- Jack's version of the gift is almost entirely different; while it includes a stress squeezy, it also instead has a few pairs of water resistant gloves and socks- patterned for his enjoyment. Jack's gift is also wrapped in a scarf.
Beyond the above, Noa also makes small giftbaskets for most of his list, akin to the workplace mugs. The 'baskets'- not always actual baskets- vary in size, and can be re-used. Each basket contains snacks, teas, and things like bathbombs, or even hot water bottles as is the case for nagas. Noted exceptions are included below in the list:- Fiddleford - Includes aforementioned hotwater bottles, and some mini-tools.
- Ryou - Many of the contents are 'hands off', or 'drop and go' (ie Bath bombs).
- Ring Spirit - The basket is made to easily store or display figurines.
- Lust - Like Fiddleford, includes hotwater bottles. Also has a crocheted shawl.
- Hawkeye - The basket is entirely hard-plastic, albeit pleasant in appearance. It contains highly preserved and dried foods resistant to rot.
He'd have gotten alcohol for many of these, but unfortunately cannot buy it. Oh well!For the remaining on Noa's list, they receive more customized presents, as listed below.
- Steven receives after a bit of thought, and with some guesswork based on their limited interactions, a written compilation of what Noa personally knows about the gods, and similarly impressive entities of Ryslig. He adds a note inside that admits he'd considered a local book on folklore and such, but given their own tragic historic barrier, it probably wouldn't go well. Besides, this way he gets to brag about hacking Elias that one time.
- Marco is given a basket not unlike what Fiddleford receives- however, Marco's basket also contains a coupon booklet for cafes he personally recommends, as well as an offer to perhaps reconnect as colleagues at some point. Maybe in Opportunkitty?
- Horatio is given a few things for his new puppy- yes he saw you have a puppy, and as a dog owner Noa is immediately all over that. Among these things is the kind of matching sweater-pet sweater nonsense that would make most people cringe, but sometimes you just need to play around with the world. There's also a travel mug that can be used to either make coffee, or tea, on the go. It seemed handy.
- Crash it seems, is in for quite the surprise once he opens his gift. Primarily it appears to be a very unique instrument indeed- a set of 'Rysling' Bagpipes, well made, high quality, and accompanied by all that's needed to keep it cleaned. There's even a booklet of music to try with it-
And last but not least...Atem receives from Noa something very special indeed.And opening that will reveal the second end of the gift. Inside the greeting card, Noa reveals that he'd like to fund the construction of a better stable for Baby T- hopefully one that will be more weather proof, considering the current winter chill. He's also invited to bring Baby T over to the penthouse for the time being, as the rooms on the ground level ought be open enough.
Though he's going to have to find it.
Initially, Atem just receives a holiday card with a riddle inside- this riddle starts him on a grand puzzle clue hunt, through Bavan and then off to the great bit Treehouse to the south, and finally back north to end in Oportunkitty! It's a well thought romp, which even includes a few of the locals during the Bavan end- Noa's gotten a few fellows who work in the areas to agree to play along.
Once Atem finally makes it to the city of cats- and finds the cat with the final riddle- his destination will be the toy shop there. The holiday card there will note that he can't give Atem a cat or anything, that would be gauche, and also, Tybolt would be ferociously jealous. However, he hopes that Atem enjoyed the enrichment- and that he also enjoys what's in the box at the shop.
As for what's inside- it's a large music player, which comes with detachable headphones. Noa has included sets of all sizes- the labs does, after all, create them for all sorts of monsters. 'I cannot be there all the time, or be there fast enough. I cannot create anything that could ever guarantee you never hurt again. But I can hope that listening to these at least, can help bring you peace when it hurts most.'
It's mostly calming music, stories, and even what could likely be called guided meditations, if guided meditations involved aimless imaginings of walking around a nice field. Still, Noa at least tried to gear these to Atem's tastes, so they may yet be enjoyable!
