NATTENS-GIFTING MEME [AND RECEIVING MEME]

NATTENSFEST GIFT EXCHANGING MEME

AND YOU GET COOKIES AND YOU GET COOKIES-

The Holidays are here, and for many of us, it's literal! With all the hustle and bustle of the Real Live Holidays, it can get pretty stressful though- and for that matter way too draining to put the same kind of focus on hitting inboxes one by one, or making lists.

Which is exactly what this meme is for! How it Works is simple- all you do is make a comment. It could have a list of goodies planned out for your monster's CR. It could be a simple statement of who should've got something, without specifics. Maybe a comment that just says, 'So and so made cookies for everyone', or 'So and so is a huge Scrooge, and got you nothing!' You can even leave it blank- a spot where people can drop gifts off to you instead, rather than seeking out the inbox. The world is your oyster! ....Tree. Oystree.

At any rate, happy Nattensfest, happy holidays, and stay toasty out there!

For incredibly casual acquaintances, those he only knows vaguely, or has only interacted with in sparse amounts, Jonathan has carefully re-furbished cookie tins- these tins, after being thoroughly cleaned, were carefully painted over with simple floral decoration. They're filled with handmade pastries, and the 'holiday' card they come with is in fact a bookmark- with pressed flowers carefully glued in place. (The glue doubles as protection for said flowers)

Each one reads, simply, 'May your days be merry, and filled with cheer'.

Those receiving these include:
  • Phoenix
  • Souda
  • Lust
  • Steven
  • Emmet
  • Rondstadt
  • Cagliostro
  • Sherlock
  • Alfred
A handful of others receive the above, with a little bit extra. In addition to the cookie tin and bookmark, each of the following recipients receives a neatly framed pastel and pencil work, as noted below...or in one case, an equivalent exception. These people are:
  • Steve - a 'jackalope' surrounded by wisteria flowers.
  • Triffany - rubbings from fossilized findings nearer to the mountains.
  • Kaito - a traditional night sky; look up, it may be familiar.
  • Bruno - holiday themed rats amid holly plants.
  • Fugo - hyacinth flowers, with sparrows.
  • Trish - ragged robin flowers, with an actual rosy robin.
  • Doppio - a sleeping fawn among heather plants.
  • Hawkeye - a fired clay tile, a simple cardinal and pine motif carved into it.
  • Saint-Germain - a spider, delicately strung between blades of grass.
