TDM: SEPTEMBER/OCTOBER

TDM: SEPTEMBER/OCTOBER

Welcome to the Ryslig Test Drive Meme! Below are a few prompts to get you started, but you may make up any prompt you desire! Please take a look at the navigation page for rules, setting information, and links to reserves and apps. Have fun!

SCENARIO ONE

(CW: Human remains)

When you awaken, you are hit with an immediate feeling of motion. A bobbing, if you will, or perhaps more of a rocking. You take a deep breath through your nose and take note of salt, along with the pungent scent of rotting wood. Creaking sounds echo all around you. Sitting up, you find yourself locking eyes with a skull.

An entire human skeleton is positioned across from you, resting limply against a pillar. Surveying the rest of your surroundings, you soon realize that you're below deck on an old, dilapidated ship. A ship that's on the move. The crew must have suffered a terrible fate, strewn as they all are across the floor. With their ripped poofy shirts, sheathed cutlasses and jaunty feathered hats, they seem to scream one word at you. "Pirates". ...Ooh, is that an abandoned bottle of rum? And a treasure chest? Surely they won't mind if you help yourself. They're dead, after all!

Once you've ascended the creaky steps, you find yourself on the deck of this vast, once proud vessel. A tattered Jolly Roger flaps overhead. Thick fog obscures most of the ocean surrounding you, but what's that straight ahead? Land ho! The ship's about to make port, and a crowd of curious onlookers has already gathered on the docks to stare up at this spooky new arrival. They appear apprehensive, perhaps even fearful, as if they haven't seen a ship come in for a long time. Will they hold you accountable for what happened to the skeleton crew? Will they praise you for 'ridding' them of pirates and allow you to keep the booty? There's no way to know just yet. Perhaps you'd best hide and find a way to disembark without being seen. Or perhaps there's someone else to be found here on this ship who suffered the same fate; someone who has a better idea of what to do.

SCENARIO TWO

You've stumbled your way into a city, and you're promptly besieged by the overwhelming sights and sounds. Cars honk at you to get out of the street, and strangers try not to look in your direction for too long. They see your lost expression and your clothes- so different from their own- and pretend to busy themselves with something else. Rarely, a look of pity is cast your way.

But some people try to reach out. Enterprising citizens and those that hope to curry favor with the newcomers pass out new clothes and bundles of food, asking if you have a place to stay the night, wondering about the details of the world you came from. A hefty laptop may be handed to you, with words of a ‘network’ used for communication. Wonder what that’s about? Then there’s the very confusing pamphlet stuffed within: "What To Expect When You're Expecting (To Turn Into A Monster)”. They may direct you to an organisation known as the Lighthouse, their members most prominently found at the 38-8 apartments and the Lighthouse Church. Or perhaps, if you're injured, they'll refer you to the Crowe Clinic instead. Unfortunately, the directions you're given are so very complicated that you lose your way in the streets after two left turns, a right and a left at the soup kitchen.

Take care when asking for more help. There are the people who aren't happy to see you at all. Glares and silent, judging stares if you're lucky, torches and pitchforks attempting to drive you out of the town if you're not. You may need a friend to help you.

SCENARIO THREE

Now that you've found a moment of peace, you open up the mysterious device that's been handed to you. Perhaps you'll recognize it as some sort of laptop, albeit an old and clunky one. Or perhaps you'll be astounded by this curious feat of technology, which is unlike anything you've ever seen before. Regardless, the moment the lid is propped open to reveal the screen and the keyboard within, you gain your first glimpse of the network.

Perhaps you'll want to choose a username and write your very first message, posing the pressing question that's on your mind at this very moment. The lettered buttons click and clack awkwardly beneath your fingertips as you type.

However, you may instead want to respond to today's most popular message.

WELCOME TO RSDOS.

*** TODAY’S TOP POST ***

018.07.154.55 <JUSTSOMEGUY> Let's play Two Truths, One Lie! It's real easy! You just post three statements about yourself, and the rest of us have to guess the lie. It'll be fun! And you get to be a liar liar without your pants catching fire for a bit.

SCENARIO FOUR

The time has come and you've found yourself becoming a monster. Is the change instant, or gradual? Are you familiar enough with monsters to know what's happening, or is it a complete shock? Does it fit you, or does it feel incongruous with your nature? Feel free to pick any monster type for this prompt, but note that you may not get the same one in game.

[It's cold, but when Atem joins him, Komaeda just shifts his butt across the sand to huddle closer to deal with it.

In his lap, his hand unfolds to reveal a small hoard of coins.]

Lucky seven!

[He casts a smile over his shoulder.]

Do you want to start, since you're the winner?
knifemonopoly: ([event] just a)

Okay.

[He closes his eyes. Ten wishes to Komaeda's seven...if he asks anything Komaeda definitely doesn't want, there's seven possible negations.

An opening move, for a game of battling desires...
]

My first wish is for your tail -- back in my lap! It's too cold out of the water...and having your tail would be much more comfortable.

[Merperson cold resistance or not, it's the middle of winter, and all Atem's animal traits are from tropical species. He won't get hypothermia, but it's unpleasant!]

[His tail? Komaeda blinks, the nictitating membrane sliding across his overwide eyes as he just stares at the fellow mer for a moment. What an easy request...

Like a dog prompted to hand over its paw, Komaeda's tail slides across the silty sand behind them and curls around Atem's hip before laying its hefty weight across his lap. There, it settles in comfortably, with the fronds of it gently flaring.]

I thought you'd go all out right from the beginning... Are you holding your cards, Atem-kun?

[It's a smart strategy, but definitely not a fun one. Something unpredictable and exciting, something akin to the snowball that starts an avalanche... That's where Komaeda's mind goes when he leans against Atem, shoulder to shoulder.]

Hm... Then my wish is for you to hold me by the waist. You're right... It's pretty cold out here, and you don't have a tail.

cw nsfw discussion

[He closes his eyes and gives an easy shrug, then shoots back with a grin:]

Are you impatient, Nagito...?

[A webbed hand slides around Komaeda's waist, as requested, and the way it feels its way forward as it curls around the hip-crease, dark-scaled fingers angled downward, is decidedly unchaste.

When he speaks, though, you would never know: Atem's tone is perfectly even, like he's discussing a normal game of Monopoly from the opposite side of a table.
]

I've got nine coins left. If my first requests were exciting, but the last ones were boring...that'd be disappointing, right?

[A brief squeeze at Komaeda's waist.]

But, if you really want to raise the stakes...

[Here, his voice drops, as he looks up at Komaeda with his own fish's eyes, the irises as red as ever. The grin splits up the side of his jaw -- not much more than a suggestion, a clear seam, but indicative of a jaw that can open from one ear to the other.]

...then, my wish is for you to tell me the weirdest thing you've ever wanted me to do to you.

[He sets his second coin down on the beach.

This should be good...he knows Komaeda is kind of a freak. How weird has he gotten, in that unstable, topsy-turvy head of his?

cw VERY NSFW CONVERSATION!!!!!!!!!!!

[personal profile] luckless 2023-03-09 07:56 pm (UTC)(link)
[Maybe he is impatient. Maybe the anticipation of an unfulfilled love suddenly becoming true, becoming something they could have, has rushed faster to his groin than anywhere else. What else is he supposed to do with those feelings? After how many hours he'd spent in agony, suffering through fantasies destined to never come true, with a heart stuffed full of feelings that he had to crush down at every little flare up?

So when Atem asks his next question, it isn't something he expects, but it's also something he's known for a long time. That doesn't change the fact that it's still a little embarrassing to talk about—which means that the familiar blue of his blush is quickly returning to his skin. Odd as it is, considering he doesn't feel any warmer for it.]

Well, I used to touch myself a lot to my memories of you yelling at me. After our last fight, though... That sort of hurt too much. So my fantasies became a little gentler.

[Did Atem ask for all of this explanation? No. But he's getting it regardless—enjoy!]

What I really want is for you to tell me how much you love me while holding me... I want you to embrace me so protectively, like you'll never let me go. I think your possessive side is really attractive...

[Oh, how his thundering pulse shakes his words. The nerves of saying all of this aloud is even affecting how rapidly his tail-fronds flick around—like an agitated cat.]

I want you to monopolize me, Atem-kun. Put a collar on me, and tell me I belong to you... Like I'm your property... In a sexual sense, of course! I know you wouldn't actually want to treat me like an object.
knifemonopoly: (that drown a wasted life)

THIS IS NOT SAFE FOR WORK, ANY WORK, AT ALL

[personal profile] knifemonopoly 2023-03-09 11:22 pm (UTC)(link)
[The first bit? Atem isn't expecting. It shows on his face.

He really...?! To when I was yelling at him?! Atem can't think of why that would be attractive, and he's torn between astonishment and amusement at Komaeda's expense.

But, Komaeda goes on...his voice is shaky, like this is embarrassing for him to admit. He's handing Atem something secret, something personal, because Atem asked for it.

Atem likes that, likes how it feels. He listens to what's being said, of course, but the greedy, hungry feeling isn't just because of the words, but because they're so personal --

...and because they're more than a little dirty.

(He pushes away a brief flicker of sadness about where his other collar is right now. He can't think about that. It hurts too much, and there's no good in it at all.)
]

Is that so...?

[His free hand sets down the coins, then goes up to take hold of Komaeda, by the jaw.]

Are you telling me the truth...? Or just the part of it you think I want to hear? You know I like that kind of thing, and that I wouldn't want to treat you like an object...that's true! But, do you want to be treated like an object...?

[He's putting aside his own horniness over these very compatible wants for the moment in order to satisfy his curiosity instead.]

Actually we're just gonna move this. Just in case--
