TELL US ABOUT YOUR CHARACTERS:
NOA - 15 y/o (soon 16) Manticore, partial Director of Liewen Labs. He's very much a cat in personality, acting somewhat above it all but ultimately wanting to do more good than ill. Has a fairly grounded look at most things, having been here almost 6 years now. He's a Priest of the Fog God.
REIRA - 13 y/o Goblin, attending the monster school during the evenings now that Summer's over. Reira's morals are a bit twisted due to having spent about 6 years here, but over all she's pretty firm on 'No Lies' and 'Killing is only okay if they started it' (food kills aren't included in here, though she eats energy exclusively in the arcade. She tries to be optimistic, but is a little despondent at the moment due to recent 'disappearances'. A Priest of the Fourth God.
JONATHAN - A demon, 21 years old, and frankly towering most normal folks at 6'5'', living in Bavan. He works shifts at Viper Cosmetics, making product in the back (and occasionally working cash up front), but also handles bodyguarding for a local CEO now. The definition of 'beef with a heart of gold', he's a former archaeologist- so, a bit of an unexpected nerd. Do not test his limits. Notably Neutral.
WHAT YOUR CHARACTER(S) WILL BE DOING: Noa is a bit busy reverting to Manticore state. Ow! Though he's got stuff to think about having been human last month.
Reira will be trying her best to help her new housemates with changes, though she's also just kind of Sad. Oh dear.

SCENARIOS YOU'RE INTERESTED IN: This month I'm admittedly taking it somewhat easy, particularly as a lot IRL suddenly started jumping all over the place. I might get a full time job?? Wow! (that will actually make things easier to manage gamewise...)
As it is, that does mean that I'm less likely to come -up- with scenarios, and more receptive to...erm. People presenting their own ideas, as honestly and unfortunately, my brain is very mushy and occupied with other things! It's autopilot time baeby.
That said, it also means that I'd rather not get into anything TOO plotty (exception being some unfinished stuff with the Joestar fam), since I can't guarantee it'd get the focus it deserves. :[
ANYTHING ELSE: As noted above, things are WWWWWILD! I'm even typing this with about 15 minutes to spare before I run to work. Yike!
I try to clear the inbox out every day/every other day at minimum, but for the current moment it might have to be closer to every three days...I always prioritize old stuff, but if something goes unresponded to for more than four days please let me know- the worst that will happen is that I say something took my time in the end.

CHARACTERS: Dr. Robotnik
TELL US ABOUT YOUR CHARACTERS: Dr. Robotnik is a misanthropic and extremely eccentric scientist and robotics expert who is not having the best of times in a place where technology is much worse than he likes, but he sure hasn't been able to get out like he wants, so he's making the most of it. He's a faerie (which he does like) and his worst enemy and main reason for trying to escape has recently showed up to ruin everything for him and it's been just terrible.
WHAT YOUR CHARACTER(S) WILL BE DOING: The usual working on projects and trying to get out and being annoyed at the general state of things. He recently got his wrist computer from Mana and it has all his music so he's probably gonna be in a better mood than usual trying to connect everything up. Also he's willingly going to a karaoke night, be proud of him.
SCENARIOS YOU'RE INTERESTED IN: While he's absolutely positive he doesn't need friends, reluctantly obtaining some is always a good time. Also always up for negative cr because he doesn't like to be nice. Need a man of science for science purposes? Got a need for any type of machine physically possible to make here? He's willing to offer his services for a price as long as he's mildly interested in the project.

CHARACTERS: Marco Evangelisti (
TELL US ABOUT YOUR CHARACTERS:
Marco is the resident computer nerd and Fourth priest with good intentions and a never-ending guilt complex. He has some brain problems he's been doing his best to manage, but he refuses to leave the Fourth God despite the fact that it would be undeniably positive for him - this is because he's grown too attached to someone he sees as a boy who never had the loving father any boy deserves to have. He's joined up with the Lighthouse, but it seems like he hasn't done much strictly in its name since Fiddleford stepped down.
Doppio is an unassuming young man - older than he looks, in truth - who was once the most trusted subordinate of a mafia gang's powerful Don. Now... things have changed a little bit, but his loyalties have not. He also experiences blackouts sometimes. During those blackouts, which tend to happen every few fogs, a monster with the same weird hairstyle as him goes around feeding, being reclusive, and denying any relation he might have to Doppio. It's probably nothing.
WHAT YOUR CHARACTER(S) WILL BE DOING:
When it comes to Marco, that is... an excellent question. Since I didn't do very much last month and he's a fairly settled character, I don't have a lot of clear plans for him right now, which is a shame! I know he's going to be discussing god things with a couple of people but that's still very [waves hands]. He's at the Ragnarok fundraiser, though! Oh, and he's... pretty concerned about the state of Strand's Cove.
As for Doppio, he's in a bit of a limbo as well, albeit a much more active one. It's unclear how much longer he'll stay at the Clinic, after the explosive end of a certain workplace dispute, and his relationship with his former employer is also on uncertain grounds, thanks to the interference of an unexpected third (?) party. Expect Doppio to be Preoccupied. Also, speaking of that third party, I'd intended for Doppio to fog out and feed during the middle of this month, but looking at the changes log, uh... THAT MIGHT HAPPEN SOONER? I'm not sure!
SCENARIOS YOU'RE INTERESTED IN: AS USUAL GET READY FOR A LOT OF COPY-PASTING hoowee
On Marco's end, there's his helpful nature, his fear of committing missteps or even just slipping up in a way that clues people in to what's wrong with him (did I mention he has tons of internalized ableism? Honestly, he could probably use some friends with similar brain problems) and his stubborn refusal to wash his hands off of god matters despite being unwilling to engage in violence or anything exceedingly assertive. His behavior can certainly get on people's nerves, even loved ones, as it can sometimes feel like he refuses to stop being paralyzed. He doesn't want to be pushy about recruiting people to the Fourth, but... he's been making a BIT more of an effort to spread the word, as of late. Just a bit.
On Doppio's end, there is still SO much to explore. He's still very attached to his life before Ryslig, and the fact that uhhh his life before Ryslig is basically here now does not help. He's genuinely good-natured, but at the same time, he can have violent mood swings caused by certain specific triggers that easily lead to turbulent situations, and his distaste for the gods could have unfortunate results as well - although... he may now be a bit grateful to the Fog for bailing the Boss out of a terrible situation? Also, he is still very much in denial about anything being wrong with him, now or in the past or ever, but who knows how long that will last now that the giant pink hangry deer that Doppio SWEARS isn't him has hurt someone he cares about. And speaking of which... I might appreciate some help in keeping Doppio involved with all sorts of characters! He has his dream castmate now and he is very devoted, but I have no interest in becoming insular. o9
ANYTHING ELSE: I try to get to tags at least once a day when I'm not swamped with work or familial obligations, and I CAN get a little neurotic about it when I'm not able to fulfil this baseline standard - my attempts to be kinder to myself on this matter haven't been too successful yet, but uh. I'm still trying. 💦 Most importantly, however, I absolutely don't hold it against anybody if they're slower (or faster, just for the record)! Also, keep in mind both of my characters have opt-outs in their journals that can be used for any reason. Thanks for reading! o7

CHARACTERS: just this guy, Ryou Bakura!
TELL US ABOUT YOUR CHARACTERS: Ryou is part of Yugi's friend group from the original Yu-Gi-Oh series, and is generally just a soft, sweet closet goth who likes weird things that normal people find creepy or w/e. I am enjoying the opportunity to let him be a person here since his role in the series is usually relegated to "Possessed by evil jewelry to further the plot" or "time-keeper" lol. Within Ryslig, he is generally the opposite of thriving, because eating souls is very difficult for him and he also thinks being a shade is terrible!! But he's had some positive stuff mixed in, so! Progress!
WHAT YOUR CHARACTER(S) WILL BE DOING: Mooning over the fact that he has successfully gotten himself a boyfriend! Outside of the mid-month event and to some degree outside of the transformation log, he's probably going to be unusually chipper, even with the people-eating! That being said, I'm going to try and be relaxed about what Ryou's doing in-game, for my own sanity, and I'll go into that in the next section.
But anyway! Related to the whole "dating Atem" thing, they decided that they're going to be little shits around their friends by being overly tactile and basically playing fake Gay Chicken with each other. More details in the next section!
SCENARIOS YOU'RE INTERESTED IN: I already mentioned a few things up there, but it's time to go into detail!
WRT the "fake Gay Chicken" thing I mentioned, Ryou and Atem are going to pay back all the busybody behavior they endured from their friends by engaging in PDA only to insist that they're doing this as "friends". It's time to reap what you sow, nerds. This is obviously a closer CR thing, but it's worth noting anyway!
Oh, and relating to the new log, Ryou's going to explosively heal his limbs and burns. Ouch! :( I'll write that happening in public though, since he knows he can be out during the fog regardless of the time of day. And growing back his limbs is going to take a lot of his energy reserves, so he'll be hungrier than usual. |D Even with the hangry fog out though, he's not likely to stay at home every day of the fog because he's TIRED of the apartment, even an introvert has limits and he's been stuck home waaaay too much. Since I like playing with the hunger, I'd love to have someone notice Ryou's very thinly veiled desire to eat pretty much everyone around him! Every time he goes out it's like this, to the point where he really does look like a predator holding himself back. It's going to make him very snappy, which he will apologize for before doing it again. :')
As far as anything else, he's likely to want to help newbies with their transformations, but seeing as his brain's gonna be on something else (THE SOULS OF THE
notINNOCENT), I'd be happy to play around with how successful or unsuccessful that is.Ryou also just turned 20 on the 2nd, and the 4th is his one year Monsterversary. I want to possibly backdate something for his birthday, because work has been devouring me and I don't want to let it pass by like I tend to do with my own characters all the time. //deflating whoopee cushion noise.
Some more generalized wishes include...mmmmmmm maybe longterm future I want Ryou's soft and unassuming personality to get him in trouble with someone. I kind of want to write out torture ok. That probably comes with the added issue of pissing off people he cares about though, so now it's sort of a sticky situation, but I thought I'd throw it out there because it relates to something else I have in mind, which is that Ryou's been here for a WHOLE YEAR and not died even once?! wtf. Either with the mid-month event in September or in November, I am going to make a definite effort to kill a man, because he's been far too lucky. Yes, lucky. Even though he lost limbs to the rift and got burned in the dollhouse.
Other than that though, new CR, positive and negative, are always welcome! It's a little harder for Ryou to get negative CR without extreme behaviors though, he's kind of a nice guy until you hurt people he cares about.
ANYTHING ELSE: I mentioned it before but to be specific, I'm going to start slowing down for my own mental health. I love playing in this game, but I need to center up a little, refresh myself and take a break from overstretching so I can enjoy October, which I have some DEFINITE plans for. <3 Also have an image.

CHARACTERS: Yugi Mutou (Nephilim)
TELL US ABOUT YOUR CHARACTERS: Yugi is a tiny game-loving powerhouse with ridiculous hair and a soft-goth fashion sense. He's up for trying to making friends with just about anyone no matter their circumstances, and has a habit of
being a persistent pesttrying to befriend reluctant-type individuals and help everyone out to the best of his abilities. Basically: no character is safe. That being said, he has a very shounen protagonist-esque mindset about what is "right" and "wrong" and definitely errs on the side of pacifist when at all possible. Be prepared for game references in any interaction with him.WHAT YOUR CHARACTER(S) WILL BE DOING: Yugi's going to be a little busy this month getting his final required monster changes - notably 1) a tail and extra eyes, and 2) his need to feed by purging human souls. You know, no biggie. Yugi is going to have A Lot of difficulty with needing to hurt others to survive and is going to fail once or twice before he actually consumes anything.
In the background, he'll also be still holding onto hope and investigating around for a way out of Ryslig or (more immediately) finding a way to avoid having to nom on people. May or may not also be letting him try to fly this month since he just got his wings and he's been worried about using them.
SCENARIOS YOU'RE INTERESTED IN: Gosh, like, nearly anything? Positive cr! Negative cr! Anything in between! Yugi's has some of his friends from home here, but he's a creature of habit - aka needing a lot of social interaction and new faces and mental stimulation (see: games).
At some point I'd like him to find a place where he would be interested in working since he has a lot of free time/isn't able to sleep anymore - he doesn't have the greatest job-related work ethic unless it's something that he actually likes doing, or something that's constantly changing. At his point in canon he is also starting to get into game-making, so in the (further) future I'd love to get him getting back to doing things he loves once he's passed the trauma of becoming fully Nephilim.
ANYTHING ELSE: I'm both sorry and not sorry about Yugi's fashion choices.

TELL US ABOUT YOUR CHARACTERS: Marik is the last of a line of "Tombkeepers" who lived under the ground for 3,000 years awaiting the prophecied return of some dead guy with wild hair. He's conniving, curious, opinionated, sassy, self-centered, and far less capable than he thinks he is. Like all Yugiohs, he has no chill - his particular chillessness involves having a million Master Plans running at any given second and then finding ways to connect them. Prefers to be the brains(?) of the operation and let everybody else do the dirty work. Come be his pawn! Er. Pal.
WHAT YOUR CHARACTER(S) WILL BE DOING: Changing into a golden bone demon gijinka. Tagging along while Atem attempts to play a children's card game with the Fog God. Helping the Ring-Spirit spread True Fog Facts (tm) by....offering his expertise as a cult leader. Starting a job at the casino. Learning how 2 demon. Making other people hunt for him because he hasn't gained the soul extraction spell...but he is hungy.

CHARACTERS: Mukuro Ikusaba
TELL US ABOUT YOUR CHARACTERS: Mukuro is an oft-forgotten character from Danganronpa - even by her own author, which is why she's my child now. She had a horrific home life so she ran away to become a child soldier, because it was apparently That Bad. As a result of All That, she's severely socially stunted and emotionally damaged, but she's been making baby steps towards improvement over the months she's been in Ryslig and she's gotten to a point where she won't just immediately try to flee conversations at the first opportunity. She's a recently Fog-aligned werewolf who has less than zero issues with the whole killing and eating people thing, since even before this she was a killer for hire, but has a big soft spot for kids younger than her at the ripe old age of 18. She has only one eye right now from all the sacrifice stuff, but that hasn't slowed her down.
WHAT YOUR CHARACTER(S) WILL BE DOING: Mukuro will be leaning more into the whole Fog thing, but also keeping an eye out (haha) for all the new kids going through their first changes. She's met two minors from the last batch and several other teens who are friends of friends, so she's on alert and ready to big sis at anyone who needs a monster mentor (or protection, or even just someone to go pick up painkillers.)

WHAT YOUR CHARACTER(S) WILL BE DOING:
Abigail pledged to the Fog a couple of months ago and definitely considers Ryslig her home now. She works for Fabius as a lab assistant, and as Javert's personal assistant. She lives at the 38-8 and spends her free time doing botanical sketches in the public parks in Bavan, as well as hanging around coffee shops. Her eternal struggle is with seeing herself as both a killer and a victim, and she's leaning hard into embracing her identity as a monster as a way to ignore the guilt she has about her involvement in her father's crimes back in her own world. She also recently discovered that parts of her shadowy body will grow back if cut off, which has made her perhaps a little too reckless, and also discovering that she kind of enjoys the pain that comes with it

Gabriel is a former FBI handler with many, many unresolved issues. He's one of the owners of Ragnarok, an inn on the shores of Lake Dala and the prison's coroner. He's an abrasive man that doesn't trust easily and lapses into self hatred a lot but he's trying to get better. If you're a messed up teen there's a chance he'll adopt you because hey he used to be one of those. (Manticore)
Dick Grayson is the former Boy Wonder, Robin, Batman's sidekick and is now Nightwing, the hero of Bludhaven. Except here he is in Ryslig. Dick is an eternal optimist with a heart of gold who wants to make the world a better place in the ways he knows best. About a year ago he suffered a TBI from an assassination attempt and it still affects him day to day. (Gargoyle)
Theo was dead to begin with. Theo is a mute man killed in a weapons test after being in the wrong place at the wrong time, but before he dies he spends 35,000 years scattered across all of human history, rebuilding himself so he can actually pass on. Instead he wakes up in Ryslig. Currently he's a musician at the Inn, but his first love has and always will be Botany. (Nymph)Reverie was once the Prince of the tenth circle of hell, a hedonistic highlord with a love for blood magic and an extreme enjoyment of physical agony, as perhaps one might expect for a (former) demon. WHAT YOUR CHARACTER(S) WILL BE DOING:
Gabriel is having a mental breakdown in all honesty. Dollhouse was very bad for his specific brainworms and he's having to reconcile that he has problems and just hiding from them is not working. He's going to actually have to treat himself like a person and not a weapon for the first time in his life. He's doing his quest from Mana to get the family dagger because he wants to have it for himself, lmk if you'd like to meet him along the way!
Dick is working on raising funds for the Bavan rebuild efforts via a Karaoke night! He's also looking to eventually build Amusement Mile for the monsters and humans of Ryslig, to give them somewhere they can just have fun and let their worries slip away. Recently he lost his boyfriend and brother, so he's a little down. Has to reason they just went home, right?
Theo is experiencing hunger for the first time! Baby has to do his first murder. He's also looking to just... Meet more people.
Reverie is becoming a vampire this month! I still have things to hammer out on what order things are coming, but soon baby vampire will be everyone's problem :)
SCENARIOS YOU'RE INTERESTED IN: I'm looking to build deeper CR for all of the boys but in particular I'd like more CR where they're pushed outside of their comfort zones, particularly Dick and Theo. With Gabriel I'm honestly just looking for just... He needs to talk about some shit sometime. Sometimes you gotta just lay out that you feel like a fuckin mess.

CHARACTERS: Riley Williams
TELL US ABOUT YOUR CHARACTERS: Former cheer captain living with homicidal ideation, not helped by The Monster Thing. Riley is very maladjusted but pretends she's not, preferring to put on a sunny attitude until she positively snaps. She's aware of all this and trying to improve but it's a long, long process.
WHAT YOUR CHARACTER(S) WILL BE DOING: Oh, a bunch of stuff. Partly clinging to Steve now that he's alive, partly wanting to brutally murder whoever killed him, oops. Still recovering from hacking off one of her wings during the Monster Pearl plot! It's growing back very slowly, so she's stuck on the ground. Despite that, she's scoping out people to feed on because she's finally found her preferred target and going to take to killing neglectful parents! Woo!
(CW: Therapy Malpractice) She's a little shell-shocked after learning that her therapist for the last several months has been actively harming her and feeding information to Aunamee and as such is trying to figure out what to...do with that. 😬 Girl needs a new therapist. Preferably one not dating the guy she killed.
SCENARIOS YOU'RE INTERESTED IN: After some initial conflict with Danny, she's going to let the cat out of the bag about him being in league with Aunamee—though whether it's widespread on the network or not depends on Taku! I'm down for any problems this leads to, any conflict, especially mutually assured destruction. Do you want your character to find out Riley killed two innocent girls on her team and helped frame a third? Hit me up! Between this and the fact that Cairo, who has Very Intimate Knowledge of Riley's murders, is here, we can work something out.
I'm also interested in playing out some of Riley trying to get info on who she could kill. Want to run into a harpy in a trench coat hanging out by a playground, making EVERYONE uncomfortable? Someone please teach her how to be stealthy, she sticks out like a sore thumb.
In non-awful things, she's finally going to Mana! What starts off as an attempt to help her learn how to open up more to people is going to result in musical abilities. Waiting both to see what the personalized quest will be and more about this month's event before if this happens at the beginning or the end of the month, but either way I'll put up an open-log. I'll note that all use of musical logic abilities will be opt-in only! I'll have a permissions post for that in the open log.
ANYTHING ELSE: I'll be a bit sporadic this month because I'm moving to a new place, but everything is spread out so I'll still be around, just might have to dip for a few days, you know.

CHARACTERS: Diavolo
TELL US ABOUT YOUR CHARACTERS: Diavolo used to be
kinga mafia boss until he was sent to Superhell for his crimes. All things considered, Ryslig is a huge upgrade for him! Even if he is currently absolutely powerless, physically incapable of living in the form he used to, and also, he's been killed twice in the two months he's been here. There's two main things to know. Number one, he is an awful person, and number two, he has got a lot of trauma to unpack. And possibly revenge to plot.WHAT YOUR CHARACTER(S) WILL BE DOING: This is still up in the air pending the results of a thread I have going on, but in general: this month he is growing horns and has the itch of a feeling he's going to be getting wings soon, so he's got it on his mind that he's definitely going to be a demon. Fitting for a man named Diavolo, isn't it? Thanks to fate's sense of irony he's actually a baby nephilim and next month things will really kick into gear for him. For now he's still... trying to figure out if Ryslig is real or just another part of his endless torture (he's not nearly fully convinced but... there's a lot of evidence this is something different).
For now, it's likely he'll probably just want to hang around Doppio (or maybe not), and not leave the house (or maybe not want to come back to the house) unless he's pressured to by some sort of wild Monthly Event, primarily due to the fact that he thinks that just about everyone is going to try to kill him. My goal is to get him some People he knows so that, perhaps one day, he can venture out.

TELL US ABOUT YOUR CHARACTERS: cairo is riley's impulse control, which is kind of like being the tallest dwarf. she's super prickly, she keeps pulling knives on people, she doesn't trust authority figures, and she thinks murder is fine and chill (under certain circumstances, like if you're riley). hilariously, cairo is the "looks like she could kill you, is actually a cinnamon roll." riley is the "looks like a cinnamon roll, could actually kill you."
WHAT YOUR CHARACTER(S) WILL BE DOING: getting used to her brand new fuck-off huge wings, researching ryslig shit (monsters and gods mainly), being weirdly clingy with riley, basically just settling in!!
SCENARIOS YOU'RE INTERESTED IN: cairo's really interested in learning about different kinds of monsters and also the fog god because mukuro says she's nice, so if your character is someone that she might be directed to after asking around in bavan about those topics, i'd love to have our characters interact! she'll also be putting up a network post after fog sometime asking about different monsters so there's that in.

CHARACTERS: Altair
TELL US ABOUT YOUR CHARACTERS: Altair is a shadow mage that was stranded on Earth with his friends after their world was destroyed. Altair comes from a nomadic desert world with a steampunk-like noble hierarchy. He was the first and only commoner to be chosen as a mage. The years he spent as an outsider among a vicious noble court because of that choice, that was forced on him, and the consequences of being a shadow mage have left him scarred. He is haunted by the dark choices he has made to protect his friends. He’s very secretive and distrusting, especially towards kindness. It’s safer to keep people away but he also desperately wants to be accepted so he ends up caring for more people than he should and he’s fiercely protective of the people he cares about.
WHAT YOUR CHARACTER(S) WILL BE DOING: Recovering. The last few months have been particularly hard on Altair. The fourth wall event and the Dollhouse dredged up a ton of trauma which he is trying to bury again. He has finally told Annie how he feels and he doesn't want his issues to make a mess of his new relationship with her. Also, how does anyone manage to have a relationship here? He already had no idea how to be a good boyfriend without this place ruining his plans all the time.
I'm also contemplating Altair creating an anonymous artist persona named Peregrine so he can pursue his painting again. He doesn't want anyone to make the connection between him and Perry from the AU ryslig which is why he is making an artist persona. He has been playing with the idea for awhile now and I think the dollhouse was a good push for Altair to think about what he wants, not the role that he has been forced to play. So I will probably make a network post about it really soon.
After meeting the storyteller, he feels reluctantly protective of her. He hates what she put him through in the dollhouse but she's just a little girl that didn't want the role she was given and he can sympathize with that. He hasn't told anyone that he met her and he is keeping an ear out for anyone that is looking for revenge. He gets it. If he hadn't met her he would be out for blood too but he isn't going to let anyone hurt her.
He is currently working for Cassandra at her private detective agency and researching the sea of stars in an attempt to bring his friends back.
SCENARIOS YOU'RE INTERESTED IN: For the changelog, Altair is getting his eyes and wings that he sacrificed back. In true ryslig fashion it is going to be bloody and painful and Altair might need help freeing his wings from the new geode scar on his back. It could be a fun, but volatile chance to build some more CR. I apologize to whoever helps him though. Being vulnerable and in pain will make Altair extra aggressive. His eyes won't be as bad but he will still be a grouchy troll about it if you want a slightly less volatile meeting. I'm thinking of having his eyes heal back a bit after his wings so people can have slightly less aggressive option. He will still be angry but less likely to murder.
As far as general game plans go:
Altair has been trying to be a ghost up till now but he knows he can't keep it up. Perry knew too many people in the AU ryslig and Altair was very active during the hunt for the pearl. Not to mention his lovely girlfriend has way too many friends so he is being a bit less careful, which means he can go back to one of his favorite coping mechanisms, fighting! He loves to fight and he has gotten rusty. While he would prefer find a private sparring partner so he can keep his weaknesses hidden, sometimes the thrill of a fight is enough to forget being careful. (especially if his opponent is entitled or rich. Please give me rich people to torment!) I'm interested in both options. The sparring partner will have to be someone he trusts but we can work up to that if you are interested.
Altair is clueless about how to be a boyfriend and I would love to play with that more. He is usually very confident and I'm excited to play with his awkward cute side more. Just being known as Annie's boyfriend is going to be very weird for him. He's used to people hating him not this. He likes it but it is completely uncharted territory.
Other people interested in ryslig lore, specifically the sea of stars and fellow artists or clients for his secret paintings. I'm determined to do more with his art.
I would also love for more people to stumble on the dark side he keeps hidden. He destroys his museum exhibit every month so people don't find out about it, if that interests you. I'm also having him embrace hunting more as a way to deal with his darker impulses.
ANYTHING ELSE: Altair's past comes with some dark subject matter. He rarely talks about his past and I try to gloss over the darker parts rather than go into detail but he has an opt out on his journal just in case.
Altair can't turn into a cat in ryslig but it still fits.

CHARACTERS: Mobius M. Mobius
TELL US ABOUT YOUR CHARACTERS: Mobius is a former agent for an organization focused on maintaining a single Sacred Timeline. He recently found out said organization is Not What It Seems and was already having an existential crisis before he turned into a fish, and now he's turning into a spider. He does a decent job of hiding the crisis, though, between being a little bit of a manipulative liar when he needs to be...and also just generally being a pleasant guy. Despite having knowledge of the full breadth of the history of his entire universe, he's partial to 1990's Americana.
He's settled in Djavulenstad, mostly to keep an eye on Loki, and he maybe seems out of place given he kind of gives off narc energy tbh.
WHAT YOUR CHARACTER(S) WILL BE DOING: Turning into a spider, first of all. Second of all, he's trying to figure out how to exist after finding out his life was a lie. He's convinced he died back home and that there's a chance he couldn't go back if he wanted to-- and honestly, even if he could, is that the best idea? But he's also just not really sure what to do now without the job that was his life. So if he seems to be tagging along with whatever Loki's doing, well. At least he's helping Loki???? Which will probably mean doing lore deep dives given Loki's
But he'll also be looking for a job. His previous work was somewhere between researcher and detective, with a heavy emphasis on bureaucracy, but honestly that isn't necessarily great fun to *play* and, well. That was all bullshit apparently so he's going to probably be looking for stuff that differs pretty significantly. Which will be interesting because while he's smart, he doesn't necessarily have, like, other skills.............
SCENARIOS YOU'RE INTERESTED IN: Some ideas:
-Any kind of assistance through the spiderification. He's going to do his darndest to stay calm but he might honestly lose his shit depending on how horrible I go with it, so if there are people who just want to, like, calm him down, that'd immediately lock in some CR because that kind of thing is *not* something he lets other people see.
-I am kind of tempted to do a "Mobius tries a bunch of jobs" montage and would definitely need volunteers and just, like, *ideas* for that lmfao. I don't know that I would be able to come up with the more interesting ones, tbh! Very open to just, humiliating him with something absurd if anyone has suggestions and wants to play out a Very Bad First Day.
-Mobius really really likes the Djavulenstad tiger and I kind of want him to at least go to the cat cafe if not work there for at least a little while, so if anyone is interested in seeing a guy who appears to be in his fifties have his first emotions about animals, that's very much on the table.

CHARACTERS: Chara (Werewolf)
TELL US ABOUT YOUR CHARACTERS: Chara is a character very much left to interpretation in their canon. What we do know about them isn't exactly anything happy -- they're a character filled with self-loathing and seems to have had an unhappy past. Considering where they've come from in canon, they're prone to violence and cruelty. However, they also care very much for the people who they consider to be family and friends and have a bit of a strange sense of humor. They're also incredibly preceptive and intelligent for their age and is fond of things like old literature and legends.
WHAT YOUR CHARACTER(S) WILL BE DOING: Chara will be changing into a monster and due to that, they won't hold back in hunting for what they need. They have no intention of losing control of themselves and going insane, so actually killing a human will very likely end up making them further withdraw from others. I plan to have them go through their most major changes first -- which means their biggest physical transformations, sharpened senses, and sharper teeth. They also need a place to stay, but will end up preferring either staying alone, or with someone they feel won't be a danger to them.
SCENARIOS YOU'RE INTERESTED IN: HMM.... Positive CR with Chara is something that ultimately takes time and development, so I'd like to try to focus on building that! They're a character that's already hit rock bottom, so they can either get.... worse... and more chaotic, or they can begin to chill a bit after what they've gone through in canon. I'm also fine with negative CR and sort of apped them in expecting that that'd be a thing that'd happen for them.

CHARACTERS: Elsa (Nymph)
TELL US ABOUT YOUR CHARACTERS: Elsa is a formerly sheltered queen-turned-forest-spirit - and that was even before her canon update to the end of Frozen 2! She's very mild-mannered and has more or less settled well into her life in Ryslig as a cafe owner, though even after several years, she still has very intense homesickness that has never quite gone away; this means she's always in support of any attempts to find a way out of here, within reason. She's always on-hand during the newbie arrivals to help with information and medical supplies, and while she seems very sweet and calm, she has a fiercely protective streak when it comes to those she cares about.
She's also aggressively neutral in the god conflict but unless someone does some really, truly horrible shit in either god's name, she's gotten past being wary of someone just bc of who they throw their lot in with.
WHAT YOUR CHARACTER(S) WILL BE DOING: I'm getting back on the train after hiatus and some lowkey stuff during the summer, so Elsa's not doing much right now! She mainly runs the Hyacinth House cafe and apothecary, so that's always the best way to strike up new CR with her. She also pops in and out of Juno Steel Investigations once in a while since her fiancee runs it, so anyone who's working there or visits there would likely run into her as well.
Oh and speaking of fiancee - Elsa's getting married soon! Her and Cass will probably start putting out some announcement stuff soon, so keep an eye out for that!
SCENARIOS YOU'RE INTERESTED IN: For now, I'm just trying to get her CR expanded and get back into things! I'm pretty fine with positive or negative CR - but at this point into her stay in Ryslig, it's really hard to get on Elsa's bad side. BUT I AM WILLING TO TRY. CHARACTERS: Triffany Lottablog (arachne)
TELL US ABOUT YOUR CHARACTERS: An cheerful archaeologist from Minnesota who prefers to be around the dead over hanging out with the living and is quite the nihilist. She has a tendency to befriend rude people (see: her husband, Floofty) and loves to share her thoughts on her research!
WHAT YOUR CHARACTER(S) WILL BE DOING: Triffany just ate her first person this month! Granted, Black Hat killed him and she took his flesh, but she's starting to think about how the dead are remembered in Ryslig and dreading having to be part of this. So she might start burying her kills and looking up old funerary rites to make sure they're at peace and they can be identified in some way.
SCENARIOS YOU'RE INTERESTED IN: Talk about death and grief, talking through cannibalism now that Triffany is going through it! She's also interested in the gods and the history of the peninsula, so any discussion about anthropology and the like would be fun.

CHARACTERS: Atem Yugioh
TELL US ABOUT YOUR CHARACTERS: 3000 years ago a very nice boy pharaoh sacrificed himself to seal away a terrible evil. He woke up in 1996 as a much less nice, questionably sane ghost who'd been steeping in that dark magic for millennia. Now, Edgy Teenage Jigsaw holds improvised trials of the heart with dark magic through games. In Ryslig, he's been forced to have his own body and is slowly becoming more of a whole person. He has grown softer toward his friends and more brutal in his games, since literally every time he kills someone here he goes through the whole game rigamarole.
WHAT YOUR CHARACTER(S) WILL BE DOING: Atem's in a bad way! He's had a very rough four months, and isn't thinking clearly. He's getting desperate, since Yugi's going to be hit with the hunger any minute now, and he's decided to go harder on the scary-monster thing. Over the next few months, Atem's going to start going after a different kind of target -- rich teens/young adults who pull shit and get away with it. He's going to use knowledge he's got from the AU world to find parties where bad things are going on and make the party turn very, very creepy. The goal is eventually to start an urban legend about how if you act like an asshole at a party, a monster might show up and play a cursed game with you, taking one of you with him as he leaves. I may be buying a power later to help with this, we'll see. He's also spent a few months learning how to build Jigsaw style death traps, and will be trying those out soon, as well as probably adopting Tybolt the baby-forever lion from Poundmates with his roommate/boyfriend Ryou.
SCENARIOS YOU'RE INTERESTED IN: Anyone who wants to hear about someone targeting affluenza teens, anyone who wants to get a torture deathtrap tested on them (the character will need to have done something to make Atem think they deserve it), anyone who wants to try to make Atem take a god damned break because everything in the section above is a slow-motion stress breakdown and I'm keeping it up in the air how bad it's gonna get, anyone who, idk, wants to play with a lazy baby lion?

TELL US ABOUT YOUR CHARACTERS: Former handmaiden to a Disney Princess turned begrudged antagonist turned knight errant turned current Werebear Detective. Cassandra's a hard worker in every sense, and is doing far better than she ever has before, now that she isn't quite so emotionally closed off.
WHAT YOUR CHARACTER(S) WILL BE DOING: A few things. Mostly dealing with the workload in her office now that the whole mother pearl matter has been settled (it turns out that a shit ton of people's stuff went missing or got mixed up). Investigating that weird smell in Bavan. Sending out a network post asking if anyone would like to try their hand at the private investigator business... And maybe a post later in the month to announce her wedding to one Elsa of Arendelle (provided the event doesn't get too hectic. we'll see.)
SCENARIOS YOU'RE INTERESTED IN: Come take a job interview with a slightly-tired werebear! Come to her for cases you want to hire her for. Annoy her with god info - I'm actually very interested in Cass interacting with more god followers of either persuasion. Once again: I need to make this a sticky on his page for convenience. In March Tarkin got sucked into an AU world which gave him memories of having a life where he wasn’t violently indoctrinated into being one of the actual worst people to ever exist in his universe.
So now he feels bad about all the war crimes and wanton murder etc etc etc…but he's still his own brand of arrogant bastard. He believes that his galactic scale perspective allows him to understand things monsters from more primitive cultures just won’t get.
WHAT YOUR CHARACTER(S) WILL BE DOING:
He's still devoted to the Fog and will be helping Lust on her project to build a park dedicated to Her. This month he'll also be taking the opportunity to present himself as a ‘efficiency specialist' to human run corporations left reeling after the violent murder of various CEOs etc.
He's also interested in becoming a more mild outreach for the Fog. As much as he loves Javert he does kind of want to bat him away from every new arrival he talks to and Aunamee is even worse. The Fog has a PR problem. Tarkin is not going to make it better, probably.
