NAME: Talloran / Tal
CHARACTERS: Gabriel Morgenstern (boneshears), Dick Grayson (gray_son) and Fitz (theonlymeisme)! But for fourth wall I'm bringing in Rev (wheresmyjuul)
TELL US ABOUT YOUR CHARACTERS: Gabriel is a former SAC and leader of a black ops strike team that dealt with the supernatural and putting down monstrosities and gods on a very permanent basis. He's a controlling sadist that's doing his best to seem very well put together and in control, but underneath it all he's trying to recover from trauma and abuse and build himself a new life in Ryslig where he can be himself.

Dick Grayson is taken from issue #79 of the current run, part of the Infinite Frontier! He's the proud father of one tripod puppy (Haley) and finding his feet after regaining his identity and coming to terms with the loss of Alfred and a city struggling with the idea of Masks after the Joker War.

Fitz was a botanist in the 40s, and an experimental bomb test catapulted fragments of him through time, sending him back to the very dawn of humanity. He has spent 35,000 years putting himself back together, and has a head overfilled with memories he struggles to keep straight. He's the newest addition to my Ryslig roster and is currently settling in to being an Alive person again.

My fourth wall pick, Rev, is an OC. He's a twisted little monster who enjoys making other people have a bad time (levels may vary) and doesn't mind getting hurt. He's a party animal and even if he's turning into a fish monster by the end of the week, he'll see that as a vast improvement on the whole 'becoming a human' thing.
WHAT YOUR CHARACTER(S) WILL BE DOING: Tagging around fourth wall, Gabriel will be doing some mild Tagevalgten murder, Fitz will be going through hot plant summer, Dick will be (trying to be ) helpful and Rev will be a source of irritation for many.
SCENARIOS YOU'RE INTERESTED IN: I'm interested in some shenanigans that force Gabriel to relinquish his control over various aspects of his life and put him out of his comfort zone, and things that might force him to open up and be honest about himself!

For Dick? Any and all sorts of shenanigans, nonsense, broing around, wrestling in the Djavulenstad arena - I'm open to Most things on him, including harm to him.

Fitz? It' s hot plant summer. I want to get this plant man going on some dates.

Rev? Give him a hard time. Bully him, fight him, hurt him - don't be afraid of making him suffer for how annoying he is.

NAME: Naem
CHARACTERS: Marco Evangelisi (peccatore) and Vinegar Doppio (epitaffio)
TELL US ABOUT YOUR CHARACTERS:
Marco is the resident computer nerd and Fourth priest with good intentions and a never-ending guilt complex. He has some brain problems he's been doing his best to manage, but he refuses to leave the Fourth God despite the fact that it would be undeniably positive for him - this is because he's grown too attached to someone he sees as a boy who never had the loving father any boy deserves to have. He's joined up with the Lighthouse, but it seems like he hasn't done much since Fiddleford stepped down.

Doppio is an unassuming young man - older than he looks, in truth - who was once the most trusted subordinate of a mafia gang's powerful Don. Now he does odd jobs at the Crowe Clinic, lost and full of ennui. He also experiences blackouts sometimes. During those blackouts, which tend to happen every few fogs, a monster with the same weird hairstyle as him goes around feeding, being reclusive, and denying any relation he might have to Doppio. It's probably nothing.

WHAT YOUR CHARACTER(S) WILL BE DOING:
Now that he's experienced yet another portal-related setback, Marco intends to carry on as usual, giving what help he can to the newly-changing monsters. Although, well, the high irregularity of this month's events may be cause for alarm (by which I mean he's going to spend probably the entire month wondering if he could have possibly maybe even remotely have been a tiny bit responsible). That, and if he figures out what happened to Makoto, he might very well feel like he should take responsibility for THAT...

Doppio also intends to carry on with his uneventful, meaningless life, internally sulking about the loss of the dream world. At least until some familiar faces show up this month, and honestly at that point all bets are off because I don't even know how he's going to react dsgzdsgdg. OH YEAH and he has a meeting with Javert that will probably result in a silly argument. Also, in the mid-month fog (17th-21st), he'll be in his fog form, eating and hiding, as he does, so if you want to talk to a hangry deer, there's your chance!

SCENARIOS YOU'RE INTERESTED IN: god uhhh as usual i am gonna do some heavy copy-pasting here let me see

On Marco's end, there's his helpful nature, his fear of committing missteps or even just slipping up in a way that clues people in to what's wrong with him (did I mention he has tons of internalized ableism? Honestly, he could probably use some friends with similar brain problems) and his stubborn refusal to wash his hands off of god matters despite being unwilling to engage in violence or anything exceedingly assertive. His behavior can certainly get on people's nerves, even loved ones, as it can sometimes feel like he refuses to stop being paralyzed - although he's been making more of an effort to keep moving as of late. He doesn't want to be pushy about recruiting people to the Fourth, but... he's been making a bit more of an effort, as of late.

On Doppio's end, there is still a LOT I'd love to explore! He's still very attached to his life before Ryslig, although paradoxically he now knows that a certain someone coming to Ryslig with him would actually be the best case scenario. He's genuinely good-natured, but at the same time, he can have violent mood swings caused by certain specific triggers that easily lead to turbulent situations, and his distaste for the gods - especially the Fog - could have unfortunate results as well. ALSO, crime friends might be nice? He's still terrible at admitting he has friends, but... he sure feels some kind of way now that Majima is gone. Also, he is still very much in denial about anything being wrong with him, now or in the past or ever, which is kind of funny given how the monster going around Bavan devouring multiple people in a short span of time and hiding in corners to sleep is still very much a pink Waldgeist and there aren't that many of those going around. Denial is powerful.

ANYTHING ELSE: I try to get to tags at least once a day when I'm not swamped with work or familial obligations, and I CAN get a little neurotic about it when I'm not able to fulfil this baseline standard, but I'm trying to be kinder to myself and, most importantly, I absolutely don't hold it against anybody if they're slower (or faster, just for the record)! Also, keep in mind both of my characters have opt-outs in their journals that can be used for any reason! Thanks for reading. o7

Abigail:Introverted, observant, vulnerable girl with daddy issues, unsure where she fits on the killer to victim scale.

Elizabeth: Bright, naive ingenue from an alternate 1900s floating city who's spent her whole life locked in a tower as she can quite literally make portals to other realities (this will be nerfed for fourth wall).

Charles: One of the brightest surgeons of his time, should be hobnobbing with the Boston elite but is instead stuck being an Army medic in the Korean War.

WHAT YOUR CHARACTER(S) WILL BE DOING:
Abigail: She's recently come to the realisation that she wants to stay and has finally pledged to the Fog, after the disaster that going through the portal back to her own world turned out to be. The dream world forced her to confront the fact that she really does enjoy killing, especially turning others into the victim instead of herself. However, she's struggling to shake off the ties that demonstrating a more monstrous nature has to her past in her own world, and is desperately trying to find a way to cut herself off from her past once and for all.

Elizabeth: Initially just exploring and being glad to be anywhere but her own world, feeling kind of wary about all these monsters but trying her best to be helpful, then having something of a breakdown later in the month as her feet turn into a fishtail...

Charles: Cursing his luck and Hawkeye Pierce for being here, grudgingly doing medical work if needed, finding he becomes an even more impressive surgeon when he turns into an octopus near the end of the month and has six appendages to do surgery with at once

SCENARIOS YOU'RE INTERESTED IN: For Abigail - friends, parental figures, good and bad influences, romance, enemies, you name it - but particularly at the moment I'm looking for friends near her own age, other Fog followers to encourage her, and people with more of a darker moral compass to influence her. For the other two, anything at all, I'm winging it when it comes to fourth wall things!

CHARACTERS: Makoto Kikuchi (princeproblems), but I'm bringing in Alisaie Leveilleur (mylimitbreak) from FFXIV for Fourth Wall!
TELL US ABOUT YOUR CHARACTERS:
Makoto is a busybody in Ryslig, usually. She has a recording studio and co-operates 8/12 with Komaeda as well as a variety show that shows on Ryslig TV once a week when there's no crazy happenings going on that makes it impossible otherwise. Personality wise, she's a pretty bubbly person but she doesn't really take shit lately and while she can be hotblooded, it doesn't come up super often in Ryslig because she's also pretty skittish and Kelpie instincts override it sometimes, lol. She'll punch someone for being a dick, though, so if someone needs someone punched, Makoto's your girl. Otherwise she's just a good friend. She was, up until recently, super neutral but took a turn to join the Fourth due to some recent events.

Alisaie is hotblooded and doesn't take shit and will in fact punch you in the face if you're a bad person. She's an act first ask questions later kind of girl and also kind of a huge nerdy genius despite that. She cares deeply for the people around her, though, and she is perhaps one of the most loyal people you will ever find if befriended. Also she loves dunking on her twin brother and will do so with very little prompting. She's incredibly feisty though so get ready Ryslig.
WHAT YOUR CHARACTER(S) WILL BE DOING:
Makoto was just murdered by Aunamee for being a Fourthie, even though she's absolutely and completely new to it. This will spur her into not being so secretive about her status since she had been keeping it hidden due to being so vocally against the gods up until recently, because she'll recognize everyone else was right when there's strength in numbers and this kind of secret is probably not an amazing secret to keep when there's people like Aunamee out there. This'll also help jumpstart the girl gang thing that her and Maya'll be doing because man dying sucks, actually.

Alisaie will be storming around Ryslig trying to get to the bottom of this bullshit and also freaking out because she can't decide if this is better or worse than sineaters.
SCENARIOS YOU'RE INTERESTED IN:
Makoto is someone that I'd like to get more CR with, especially Fourthies. Generally I'd like more positive CR for the moment and maybe, hopefully, people that can get her to relax and stop working so much! Happy memories are important!!!!

Alisaie is something that I'd just like to play around with because she's a good girl, if feisty and firey at her core. I do intend to app her so building connections in general would be pretty fun! Positive and negative.

CHARACTERS: Jonathan Joestar standless , Reira Akaba gobo_projection , & Noa Kaiba noasark
TELL US ABOUT YOUR CHARACTERS:

Jonathan - Definition of the goldhearted himbo, he's a blood-feeding demon who died in 1890 on his honeymoon. Also for a little bit he learned how to use the power of the sun to punch vampires (among which included Jack the Ripper). Planned to be an archaeologist! Instead he's working to make cosmetics in a small store run by Tsukikage. Jonathan lives in Bavan with Quasimodo and Elizabeth, and over all he's just a real nice guy, really wants to help where he can! Maybe a bit too trusting though. Sometimes spotted with a tiny cat riding his shoulder.

Reira - Here for a bit more than 6 years now, she's a 13 year old Goblin who is kitted out with all the latest Felfri trends (smuggling that was hard, since she had to wear it all at once). She likes games, she likes cartoons, she likes animals, she likes...well, life really, but she's got some odd morals on things given that she grew up here- such as 'lies are the biggest crime ever, with breaking promises right next to it' and 'if someone tries to kill you, it's fair game to kill them back'. Reira's one of Elias (the Fourth God)'s few priests, though she doesn't really see him as 'godly'- mostly, this is just a matter of alliances in war. Over all, a nice kid! Maybe too nice? Then again, when you can stop time, not a whole lot spooks you from friendship. Lives on the Bavan side of Lake Dala in an underground house (it's nicer than it sounds).

Noa - Here for almost as long as Reira, he'll be physically and emotionally 16 in September. The mental is kind of a mess; he was digitally preserved for 7 years after dying at 10 years old, and that uh...does stuff to a kid! Also he's from a card game anime (so was Reira actually), but don't worry about that. Here in Ryslig, he's a manticore- a very feliform manticore- now in charge of running Liewen Labs alongside AM. Specifically he handles the Bavan Branch (laptop work, medical/comfort advances for monsters), and he lives in a hidden penthouse in the city there with an inherited pokemon, a living tree-chair, a...fungus thing, and a dog. He's the reason there's a city for stray cats and cat protection out in the world, and he's also one of the Fog God's many Priests...though he's not nearly as vocal about it. Likes to be a voice of guidance and reason, and while he's slow to admit it, kind of a huge fan of games and friends. Wow! Having friends sure is nice! He's going to ignore you now, and then blame you for ignoring him, like any good cat would.

WHAT YOUR CHARACTER(S) WILL BE DOING: For the most part during the fourth wall, everyone's going to be going through their usual motions (other than...well, the obvious).

Jonathan notably is trying to learn to cook however, since uh oh! No one in the apartment can cook right now!

Reira on the other hand has a PROM to attend! Wow!! A dance she's allowed to go to!! Amazing. Also, since Summer is here, she's excited for a break from school and a lot of swimming.

Noa meanwhile is recovering from whatever the heck THAT mess last month was, and is being a sadsack at his desk/house/wherever. Cat Cuddles are permitted, just don't talk about it aloud. He might make himself go to prom.

SCENARIOS YOU'RE INTERESTED IN: Unfortunately all I really got is 'anything', so the best I can do is point to Jonathan's network post (which is Heeereeee) as a thing for him, while waving my 'MY KIDS ARE GOING TO PROM' banners. (That said, Jonathan could use some more stable CR ties, so come at 'm)

That aside, I do know that castmates are likely to show up for Noa during 4th wall, so THAT'S gonna be neat, and Reira meanwhile is always fun for the sheer 'um' factor of typical childish downplaying of 'hey! kiddo?? this is a Horrible Place to be!', so if dark comedy is your thing, Boy can they deliver!

I suppose a worthwhile note for anyone going hard on the fish deal is that Reira's room has an airlock out into the lake as well. ...On Noa's end, uh, try not to let him nibble your foot?

ANYTHING ELSE: I've recently found that synthesized-reality as a heavy conversation point can be a trigger, most particularly when the character goes deep into matters of proof and so on, so please try to avoid that sort of thing in any threads. I'll note now that it isn't so much when characters decide that the setting is say, 'all a game', but rather when they start going into detail on it/on 'why'- so don't worry if it just comes up in vague!

CHARACTERS: Steve Harrington
TELL US ABOUT YOUR CHARACTERS: A teenager from 1980s smalltown USA, where monsters only occasionally come out of dimensional rifts. Was once Mr. Popular and kind of an asshole as a result, but ever since graduation has been floundering spectacularly at the transition to adulthood, as well as adjusting to his loss of social status in general. The bright side is he's made leaps and bounds toward becoming a pretty okay person.

Very social. Jock. Himbo material. Just wants to be a good friend and/or partner. Danger makes him A) scream, or B) act more bold than smart, depending on the stakes.

Now a full-time bunny boy. Sike, this month he's temping as a Merperson.

WHAT YOUR CHARACTER(S) WILL BE DOING:

• Still settled in at 38-8 living his best life with 100% more convertible.
  
• Poundmates: Ownership of the place has fallen into Steve's lap after Majima's departure. Poundmates is an animal shelter and adoption center. I'm not sure how much I'll delve into it this month, as my primary focus will be my monster swap & the fourth wall, but stay tuned for Steve attempting to not completely blow having some responsibility.
  
• Temping! Steve asked Mana to make him a Merperson for the Summer. Though this is subject to change as things get crazier, he'll be utilizing 38-8's new pool and making many, many trips to Lake Dala and various places of interest along Ryslig's coast for fun and exploration.
  
• Prom: Steve will be going! And appearing on stage to announce his plan to select a mascot for the school, which involves collecting anonymous suggestions in a box. Don't troll... or do!
  
• Birthday: Steve will be turning nineteen on the 24th of July. I don't have any specific plans, and honestly it sounds like everyone including Steve's priorities are going to be elsewhere by then, but he'll appreciate any well wishes!

SCENARIOS YOU'RE INTERESTED IN:

• CR with other 38-8 tenants, Nai'a Nights regulars, etc. The people he probably regularly passes by on his daily routine who he could stand to get to know a little better.
  
• CR with god followers. Currently planning on putting Steve on team Fog, although this is subject to change as the narrative does. He's not going to have a religious or even that political of a take on it, but even just the juxtaposition with people who do could be interesting. He lacks information on the Fourth in general.

TELL US ABOUT YOUR CHARACTERS: A cheerful archeologist who likes to hike out into the wilderness for days at a time to uncover long-lost artifacts and skeletons. She's a sweetheart with a big fascination for morbid and nihilistic topics.

For the 4th wall, I'm brining Okuyasu Nijimura from Jojo, a loud and impulsive delinquent who cries easily, has his poetic food critic moments, and will die for people who manage to befriend him.
WHAT YOUR CHARACTER(S) WILL BE DOING: She'll continue to explore areas of the peninsula, and she hopes to expand her digging group. She'll also see her husband again during fourth wall! Lots of good things will come of this.
I'm also considering having her align with a god so she can get some new information about Ryslig, but at the moment she's wanting to learn more about the two gods.
SCENARIOS YOU'RE INTERESTED IN: Triffany wants to show off her photo of herself as a Grumpus and a photo album I plan to regain. I'd like to have her talk more about her life back home and her expedition with those as a good conversation starter. Otherwise, I need her to socialize more, so people taking her out to meet others is very welcome.

Okuyasu will mostly try to beat up monsters and play pranks when he arrives, bit other than that anything is good.

CHARACTERS: Dr. Robotnik
TELL US ABOUT YOUR CHARACTERS: Dr. Robotnik is a mad scientist who hates people and likes machines. In Ryslig he's a faerie which he finds extremely useful, but he's still very against the Fog God because, hello, he has shit to do and weird aliens to catch and he's spent all this time not being able to do it. He's keeping the faerie thing, though. He lives in a big giant building all by himself and he is not inviting you to live in it. Everything is more fun all alone, after all. He does have quite the sweet tooth, though, and can often be bribed to do things.
WHAT YOUR CHARACTER(S) WILL BE DOING: Everything that's been happening lately has been Very Annoying so he's been staying inside for the most part and working on things. His main goal is going home, but that's been taking forever and he's kind of grumpy about it. And now more shit is going to hit the fan, hooray. He'll be around for whatever stupid thing is happening now. A certain annoying creature is scheduled to be making a fourth wall appearance, and he'll be dealing with THAT bullshit.
SCENARIOS YOU'RE INTERESTED IN: He needs to be more social, for one. He's got a few acquaintances here and there, but he's very adamant about not having friends and I think he needs to get some despite his best efforts otherwise. Also it'd be neat for him to work on projects with other people even though he doesn't want to.

NAME: Ocean
CHARACTERS: Syndrome (Buddy Pine)
TELL US ABOUT YOUR CHARACTERS: Syndrome is a genius inventor with a huge chip on his shoulder towards people with powers because of his idol, Mister Incerdible, not accepting him as his sidekick at the age of 10. Brilliant but volatile, Syndrome has a vindictive personality and lashes out towards anyone who he feels like is trying to control him or expose his much softer side - Buddy.

For the Fourth Wall, I am thinking of bringing Soldier from Team Fortress 2! Soldier is loud, aggressive, and also extremely volatile with a penchant for going completely off of the rails at any opportunity. Known for his patriotic and strong-willed personality (and for teleporting bread), he is willing to do what it takes to get back home and kick ass.

Because he's not trapped at Ryslig, you are all trapped with him!

WHAT YOUR CHARACTER(S) WILL BE DOING: Syndrome is getting hit with the full transformation into a shade this month. What might lag behind is him being able to control his powers. He intends to strengthen himself and learn all that he is capable of doing with his new found powers so that he can properly use them against people. He will continue to spy and gather information except now he will be far more sneakier about it. Think possessing a normal human just to sit somewhere unnoticed to listen to conversations.

Soldier is going to throw hands with people as he struggles to make sense of the world he has been sucked into.

SCENARIOS YOU'RE INTERESTED IN: Since Syndrome is going to be hit with everything at once, he will also be very hungry and even more emotionally turbulent! Anything regarding these situations is good for me. I think he is also going to learn what he can about the Fourth before making his decision to side with a God, although he leans far more towards Fog.

Ah, and Tech Club Meeting! It might happen this month if I am not too caught up in Fourth Wall stuff and closed prompts.

TELL US ABOUT YOUR CHARACTERS: Hawkeye is a surgeon and, after four years in Ryslig, also a general practitioner, amateur psychiatrist, first-aid instructor, and headteacher. He's a charismatic, high-energy, comedic character with a zest for life and a cheeky disregard for social norms. He's been a lich for some years now, and still hates it. He also lives on blood and coffee, and, in an attempt to avoid depleting the clinic's blood stocks too much, has been in a state of borderline starvation for the past three and a half years. WHAT YOUR CHARACTER(S) WILL BE DOING: A lot this month, actually! Between arranging and hosting prom at the new Strickler School campus, having a familiar face in the fourth wall, and hopefully buying the ability to become human at will from Mana (still pending mod approval), he's a busy man. Also, after three and a half years of not-dating, he and Lust finally acknowledged that they have feelings for each other, so he's likely to spend at least some of July trying to get to grips with what that might mean.

He'll also be doing his usual - running the clinic in a crisis, offering therapy, weekly first-aid classes once the school opens, etc - so if you need him in a more casual setting, go for it.

SCENARIOS YOU'RE INTERESTED IN: I'm really interested in people who might be seeing him as human for the first time when he gets his Mana powers - and also in exploring what something like that might mean for someone who constantly lives on the edge of starvation, since I intend to make the human transformation cost him a lot in terms of increased hunger. Also interested in long-term CR finding out about him and Lust, and as always, in professional CR.

TELL US ABOUT YOUR CHARACTERS: 3000 years ago, a pharaoh used the magic of his true name to seal an evil god along with himself into a magical artifact, which got smashed to pieces, hidden in a tomb, discovered by a gambler, and brought home to Japan. The gambler's grandson, Yugi, put the pieces back together, releasing the pharaoh's ghost, who remembered nothing and was more than a little insane. The pharaoh possessed Yugi every time someone hurt him or someone close to him and challenged the perpetrator to a sadistic game that was usually magic but sometimes just "a taser" and left a trail of bodies behind him, somehow never getting caught.

I'm playing the murder ghost. He loves his friends very much.

For the 4th wall, I'm bringing in Jean Valjean, from that French brick. He will have his memories from his first time at Ryslig and one changelog of Nymph parts, and his canon point is "dying, but before Cosette arrives, because we hate joy and closure." He's an old ex-convict Catholic Frenchman who is self-sacrificing to the point of insanity and Cannot Have Nice Things The Lord Said So, but will help you immediately.

WHAT YOUR CHARACTER(S) WILL BE DOING: Atem will be very involved in this whole pearl plot! He wants to dig his hands into what's going on in Ryslig on a level that's almost meta; he's convinced this place is a big Shadow Game from his canon, so he's trying to figure out the rules, the mastermind, and the win condition. So he'll be very active there. He's also temped to Naga and looks like how he did when he was alive this month thanks to a Mana mishap, and he'll be self-appointed volunteer security at Prom. Prom matters to people. People have feelings about it. He will protect it with his life.

Jean Valjean will....be surprised to exist. He will slowly turn into a type of sea creature I'm not decided about yet but will definitely look like plants. He'll go back to Djavulenstad and try to get his old janitor job back in the Devil's Nest, and look up Javert, because the man's still alive, and had a curious letter...
SCENARIOS YOU'RE INTERESTED IN:
For Atem: people to get involved with the metaplot together with! Also people who know him as Yugi, so he can explain All Of That, and anyone who'll be surprised by his Naga temp/suddenly, Egyptian. I especially want to get him into a fight at prom. A game fight or a fight he can turn into a game is preferred but I'm up for a regular fight too. I just want someone to try to start prom trouble and for him to get to interfere with disproportionate amounts of anger.

For Valjean: bad people for him to be radically accepting of and kind to, good people to treat him well so that he gets embarrassed about it, someone to fill him in on All This about Javert, and honestly anyone who will drag him out of being unsociable. He takes extra work to get CR with, so while I'll put in the effort, characters who are not or who aren't easily deterred will have the best time.

After a year away from Ryslig, Lup's returned with some pretty big Trauma that she has been very unwilling to discuss with anyone yet, but otherwise is enjoying her time back with her monster friends.

WHAT YOUR CHARACTER(S) WILL BE DOING: Lup is adjusting back to Ryslig (and just life in general), so she's spending most of her time with friends, catching up and reconnecting after her year away. She spends a great deal of time with Taako and Magnus on the farm, considerably more than she did previously, but will absolutely shrug if off if asked about it.

The next few months will all be about branching out for Lup, for finding new hobbies or side hustles, for getting involved back into the monster community. She wants to be exactly who she was before, but it's taking much more effort than it ever has for her.

SCENARIOS YOU'RE INTERESTED IN: Friends, enemies, rivals, etc of course, but what I'd really love to do is drag Lup's new trauma around and force her to confront it. WHAT YOUR CHARACTER(S) WILL BE DOING: he's gonna have kind of a rough month! draumheim was a blow, and he's wrestling with a whole lot of survivor's guilt and general It's The Trauma(tm). as a result, he's overcompensating and pendulum swinging in the opposite direction to avoid turning in on himself or, like, dealing with his feelings at all. this manifests for giorno in higher-risk behavior than usual for no significant benefit, although not anything that would cause physical harm to anyone at this point, so nothing to do with feeding. he's also likely to vacillate a lot between pushing buttons — being extremely (if superficially) social, confrontational, even flirtatious — and being extremely shut down. if folks want to engage with any of that weirdness, i'd love to, as this is a pretty volatile headspace for him that can go in a lot of different directions. that's available anytime during the month and probably into next month, although at the height of fourth wall i'll probably be largely focused on that.

speaking of fourth wall, giorno's getting to see at least one and possibly more friendly faces from home. he will show off his friend(s) to anyone who stands still for long enough. regardless of the plot specifics, the end of the fourth wall event will be rough as hell for him.

he's going to prom because what's he supposed to do, not? otherwise, he can mostly be found at the clinic, hill house, and in his tree, where he spends honestly more time than he should Brooding.

Eridanus is an OC of mine that comes from a typical fantasy background. He's elven, he's a pretentious asshole, but he likes to forge relationships with people because he believes networking is power. July is actually his FIRST anniversary in Ryslig! And in that year's worth of time, he has really embraced his inner demons and become the worst, sadomasochistic version of himself. Three cheers for Eridanus!

Fabius is the best apothecary (doctor) from the grimdark setting of Warhammer 40k. He loves science, and humanity, and using science to make the best humans possible. He hates being a monster because these aren't the genetic mutations he wants Fog mom, give him his super-soldier body back GOSH.

Komaeda is a pretty nice guy from Danganronpa 2, definitely not a guy with fragile mental stability and an obsession with hope that helps him cope with how much trauma he's endured. Nope, not at all. He's really just a helpful nice guy without any of the extra weirdness. But he IS a pyromaniac.

Vergil is an aloof, stubborn, and arrogant half-demon, who is always seeking Ultimate Power. All he cares about his how he can obtain more power for himself and it is not all directly tied to his mommy issues. Nope. If he were staying here longer he would absolutely go Team Fog though. He will, however, be motivated enough to figure out why he's suddenly in Ryslig instead of hell.

WHAT YOUR CHARACTER(S) WILL BE DOING:

Eridanus is doing the usual. Balancing work between the Devil's Nest and Nai'a Nights, interacting with his usual CR, nothing too big. He will be looking for newer faces though to interact with!

Fabius is underway on some Top Secret experimentation that will come to fruition in September (stay tuned!) and so he has also been the same, busy worker bee he's always been. Alas, he has also become seemingly more desperate as he gets closer to completing his research... making him much more likely to... attack people.

Komaeda is on auto-pilot. I am currently using the AC waive to slow-hiatus him, but he's just going to be working nonstop at the Arcade and 8/12 in the wake of a lot of Things.

Vergil isn't in game yet! But you can bet your butt he's going to be very proactive in trying to find a way out of Ryslig.

SCENARIOS YOU'RE INTERESTED IN:

Networking: Mainly interested in this for Eridanus and Fabius, but mostly Eridanus still. He thrives on having connections everywhere and is very flexible in the give and take to make them. If you run a business, Eridanus would be more than happy to help out with it for a short time! He likes to keep himself busy.

Cultivating Older CR: Also for Eridanus, I've sort of fallen off the wagon with his really old CR. I would like to go back and thread stuff out with some of you guys (and will comment on your CR posts when they go up if nothing on mine looks appetizing)!

Victims??: As I stated above, Fabius has become a bit desperate in the last and coming months. He needs monster DNA and he's willing to do what it takes to get it. TELL US ABOUT YOUR CHARACTERS: Many folks know Maya as the bouncy, sociable mascot of Dandy (Space)'s Nai'a Nights bar and not as a ghost chaneller who didn't leave her village for 17 years, but she is in fact the very same! Being a mermaid only enhances her sense of mischief, and lately it's been helping her care less and less about the recurring tragedies of being in Ryslig.
Souda, a mechanic who spends his time guarding the Non-Magical arcade, was once a brainwashed mass-murdering terrorist. Now he is mostly back to his jittery-yet-carefree self, just in the form of a dragon that turns to stone in the sun.

WHAT YOUR CHARACTER(S) WILL BE DOING: Maya will have a bit of an interesting month. It's her first anniversary being married to Dandy! She should be having fun, right? WELL. After Aunamee killed her dearest friend Makoto, she has vowed to get back at him the only way she knows how; annoying him to pieces. It will put the skip in hers and Makoto's step to officially start their Secret Girl Gang— but their plans might be put on hold if Dahlia shows up for the fourth wall.
Dahlia is her conniving blood-related cousin who seems to live by the. "Gaslight Gatekeep Girlboss" model (and even tried to date and kill good ol' Phoenix Wright back in the day, too!) She should be dead and Maya knows this— after all, Dahlia's mission to kill Maya was stopped by having Maya channel Dahlia into her own body.
Living with the literal Ghosts of her past won't be easy, as Maya has gone three years without telling anyone how much her family wanted her dead for the sake of power.

Souda will be having a much less rough time and perhaps end up a bit on the back burner, though Makoto's death was important to him too— and will remind him that letting go of Despair completely may not serve him as well in a world this horrid.

SCENARIOS YOU'RE INTERESTED IN:
If Dahlia shows up, Maya will be unusualy out of sorts, whether or not Dahlia manages to convince the attorneys she is actually her own, much kinder, twin sister. This would be the perfect time for anyone who wants to learn that Maya's sunshine and gremlins attitude is, at times, a desperate attempt to avoid dealing with the tragedies of her life, making it a good time for anyone who wants deeper cr out of her to finally see some honest weakness.

During Draumheim, he was a defense attorney and his dad was alive and he kissed Phoenix because his case of the notgays went terminal and now he's busy spending every waking moment (which is all of them, because he can't sleep) being embarrassed. He's not overfond of the gods and is extremely devoted to Justice as an ideal rather than Order - the spirit of the law rather than the letter.
Deon Wilson is your local Manticore roboticist IT guy and Fourthie, and Draumheim was pretty good for him. He was able to get his emotional issues about his murderous former coworker settled and able to get his own back on his murderer from the AU event (points at eyes, points at Nos, points at eyes), and he's decided what he wants to do: make some fucking robots.

TELL US ABOUT YOUR CHARACTERS: he spent the first 17 or so years of his life as a bright-eyed naive mountain dumbass, then left because he wanted to save the world, then got blinded and spent like 10 years as a wandering battle-priest vigilante (a daozhang), before that fell to shit and he died.

personality-wise, he's one of those 'can't refrain from helping someone who seems to need help' sorts, a very warm person. he does have kind of a 'stereotypical kind do-gooder' outward presentation that he tends to keep people at arm's length with (it's pretty much all he has ever known, he's slowly but surely learning how be a person instead of a daozhang) but underneath that, he's a fiercely loyal and stubborn friend with every ounce of terrible dad-humor you'd expect from a reformed mountain bumpkin.

here in ryslig, he's a werewolf (werefox, really), and he lives in a cottage in the woods above lake minska.

WHAT YOUR CHARACTER(S) WILL BE DOING: so xingchen has been here for like 8 months, and in 2021 year so far he has cycled rapid-fire through basically all of the building mental crises since his arrival, leaving him in a super chill and productive place. ALL OF WHICH MEANS: he's got hella projects he's working on, just in generally trying to understand this place. it seems like everyone's got separate and slightly overlapping chunks of understanding about ryslig but nobody has anything close to the full picture, and that full picture is kind of his goal. so he's aiming to talk to each of the gods, to look in the various towns to see if there's any sort of local lore/history to glean, eventually to temp-change into different monster forms in order to understand them, etc. etc.

almost forgot to add this but! he's probably been seen around the hospital (regular hospital, not player-run clinic) off and on for the past few months, he's been volunteering there in hopes of establishing positive-enough relations to get a small but consistent supply of blood for his blood-drinking partner, so that could be a CR touchpoint maybe. he has skills as a medic, but an ancient chinese medic, so between that and being (or at least seeming) blind as hell, he probably is not really responsible for any tasks that require modern medical knowledge, ahaha... ha.

I would love for Altair to run into xingchen again. He is going to be investigating the sea of stars so he can bring his friends that disappeared back if that interests you. He needs more friends. Three of them just disappeared and he is trying to recover from that. TELL US ABOUT YOUR CHARACTERS:
A long time ago a ~Dark God~ (demon) and a vengeful tomb-robber soulfused themselves into a very cursed piece of jewelry. Eventually this horrible necklace possessed this one kid, and proceeded to make that kid's life really suck (semi-unintentionally... sometimes... but still,,). After finally remembering he wanted to do an apocalypse (yeah he'd forgotten - long story), EvilNecklaceMan was making decent progress on doing so, and then he was in Ryslig which he found kinda distressing.

The Ring-Spirit's been in Ryslig for about a year now. He's discovered that: he's actually, like, a person and shit, wild; he doesn't understand the whole "being a person" as much as he needs to, but the concept of it's grown on him anyway; aaaaand he sorta-kinda-maybe regrets a few of his life-choices (not as many as he should, but more than none is still progress).

At the moment, he's a fog-following harpy who lives at the Gregory house. He still doesn't quite "have" a name, but is starting to offer "Richard" as a suggestion.

WHAT YOUR CHARACTER(S) WILL BE DOING:
- HELPING THE TAGEVALGTEN with Stuff (as much as they'll let him anyway)
- Continuing to work on the "being a person" thing
- Befriending his former host?? (RS is 99% sure that's what he's attempting)
- Stepping up his Fog-follower game
- Trying to figure out a way home
- Being a menace, as always

SCENARIOS YOU'RE INTERESTED IN: ​
I want him to properly change his mind about "going home so I can destroy the place". At the moment he kinda doesn't completely want to, but still thinks he's gotta because something something avenging his dead village. To get where I want him to go, he needs to AT SOME POINT start thinking "hey, maybe I can get my ghost-village over here via Mana??" because ooc'ly the mods confirmed that's a thing he can do (as a ghosty pet), but ic'ly he needs to yknow. realize he could try for it.

I'm also interested in him finding someone to discuss/research dimensional-mathematics, portal/summoning-related physics, and that general flavor of nonsense with. I have a whole plurk about details over here, but basically he's a nerd trying to figure out: 1-the "Sea of Stars" and how to give control of it to the Fog God, and 2-how to leave Ryslig (which is ooc'ly impossible of course, but not like he'd know that). I want him to nerd about the logistics of that shit. If it helps, I myself am terrible at actually DOING math, so I'm super not asking for someone to math with, just someone he could talk concepts with

Also I'd like him to rank up as a Foggie, but he has very few "hard NO"s and ritually sacrificing people happens to be one of em, so I've gotta get creative.
Related to that, RS is going to host an "AMA God Talk" (that he's gonna invite all viewpoints to join in on, so more of an "A[us]A") at the Cube this month, and it WILL be open to fourth-wallers, if anyone wants to do God Stuff without necessarily apping a character who'd commit like that. (I'm currently waiting for the fourth wall Event Log to go up - once I have more info Imma put together a network post Open Invitation thing, & then put up a mingle-style log for it in case other folks want to top-level with their own characters.)

I'd also like him to meet more of the other folks who live at Gregory House. I've super dropped the ball on that in the past and it's silly he doesn't even know most of the folks he lives with, so yeah. |D;;

ANYTHING ELSE:
I need to make him a proper opt-out page still. In the meantime, feel free to hit up his screened HMD if needed. Possible issues include: His backstory involves large-scale human sacrifice. (I do warn for this when it comes up.) He also doesn't value his own well-being, so self-injury and/or suicidal ideation from him can happen. (I try to warn for this too, but I'm not the best judge of when to warn for those? So I might either not think to warn for something or err on the side of over-warning.)

Altair is going to be investigating the pearl's disappearance too. I think it would be fun if Altair and the ring-spirit run into each other during their investigations. Since RS is helping the tag and Altair is definitely not helping them, maybe they could race to see who finds the pearl first since there will still be some animosity after their fight on the network. They can keep running into each other because they end up following the same leads.

It might have to wait until they resolve their current issues but I would also love having them work together to figure out the sea of stars. Altair's experience with the sea of souls dimension in his world could possibly help and would give RS the chance to talk about dimension concepts. Altair has already told him a bit about his nameless goddess so Altair just might open up about the sea of souls with him, after they are friends again.

TELL US ABOUT YOUR CHARACTERS:

Cassandra is a former lady-in-waiting to a Disney princess, turned Werebear detective operating out of Juno Steel Investigations in downtown Bavan. She's got a taste for justice, swords, chasing down criminals... and pastries. She's pretty social now, even if she can come across as a bit awkward at times, due to more or less recently learning How To People.

She also very moral. Just wanting to do some good in Ryslig and make it better than the gods have left it. If being a monster isn't what you dreamed of, she feels the exact same way.

Tyreen is a former siren, and a power-hungry one at that. Literally. Her leeching powers made her a dangerous threat, and a charismatic personality catapulted her straight to stardom as not only a top ECHOnet streamer, but the leader of the biggest bandit cult in the galaxy, which Tyreen used as her personal army. She's ambitions, snarky, a little bit goofy, but always gunning for what she wants most: more power.

WHAT YOUR CHARACTER(S) WILL BE DOING: Cassandra is going to make a network post sometime this month advertising some position in her agency. Followed possibly with a log about her everyday life in Bavan, investigating cases and dealing with monster urges. All in the name of expanding Cass's CR circle.

(She's also getting married to her fiancé, Elsa this yyyyyear I think?? WILD)

Tyreen is going to start the transformation sequence into a Faerie. She's still new, but found a place recently at the 38-8 living complex, so she'll be trying to get the lowdown on Ryslig from folks, trying to figure out what she's capable of, and investigating which god is the best one to follow.

SCENARIOS YOU'RE INTERESTED IN: New friends, new employees, fellow assholes looking to get into the god business too. I'd really love to see Cassandra get to act more as a boss towards some employees, or even work beside someone on a dangerous case. I'm also interested, perhaps in the long run, to have Tyreen start to freak people out a little when it comes to the whole "ran a cult" thing.

Tarkin is a big bad from Star Wars, his career highlights include running the military of a totalitarian galactic empire and being responsible for an unrelenting reign of terror, befriending a magic cyborg, and blowing up a planet to spite a teenager.

Things in Ryslig have been a little topsy turvy for him lately. During the March event he got to be a fully functioning human being so he’s acquired new character traits like: doubt and debilitating guilt. He’s in a rocky place, working at Crowe Clinic far below his skill level because he’s not exactly trusting his judgement for anything greater at the moment. Formerly he worked for Javert but that arrangement got deeply uncomfortable after he acquired feelings. He has far too much time to think and brood and obsess over his conflicting memories.

Despite…everything he’s still quite loyal to the fog. In his mind animal instinct still reigns supreme, his purview has just shifted to encompass other things than brutality being the one and only rule of the jungle.

WHAT YOUR CHARACTER(S) WILL BE DOING:

Tarkin feels a bit directionless at the moment, and after Draumheim showed him that his deepest wish is to throw his conscience in the trash he’s severely doubting his capacity for growth. One of the few things keeping him from spiraling is his basically-daughter, Abigail.

SCENARIOS YOU'RE INTERESTED IN:

Tarkin’s in a vulnerable place and is more likely to be open about various things right now. He’s an antsy pack animal without a pack. He could use some good influences, some bad ones. Etc. Anyone wanna mess with him?

TELL US ABOUT YOUR CHARACTERS:

AM is a genocidal supercomputer who has been in Ryslig for six years as a humanoid thing. He hates everyone with a fiery passion and wants to kill and/or torture literally everyone and rule over the peninsula and more. He is a cautionary tale about why war is bad and also be careful when creating AI. He's a demon and a fog priest and serves as the head of the second branch of Liewen Labs, as well as the punitive director of La Forteresse.

Phoenix Wright is, on the other hand, a very good-hearted defense attorney who so strongly believes in doing what is right and pursuing the truth. He's somewhat sardonic at times but ultimately cares deeply about his friends and about others. He's a harpy and is not aligned with any god.

Fourth wallers yadda yadda - Rhoda is an evil little girl who has a body count of four before arriving at Ryslig except she is sickeningly sweet and fools people, Manfred von Karma is an evil prosecutor who mentored Edgeworth and tried to make him evil, and Frollo is an evil priest/judge guy who locked up Quasimodo in a bell tower and has a hard-on for Esmeralda. I have a character type, it seems.

WHAT YOUR CHARACTER(S) WILL BE DOING:

AM learned through May's event that in our home worlds, time has passed since leaving. While he probably knew this to be true to an extent, seeing it come true in Robotnik's world made him kind of flip his shit. He knows that if he goes home, he will be there alone as an immobile thing for probably billions of years, since his last victim would have likely died. So I think his motivation to stop Elias is far stronger now, and his resolve to stay in Ryslig has strengthened tenfold. It legitimately scared him.

Phoenix is basically adjusting to Ryslig life. His Draumheim existence had more of an effect on him than it did on AM, because Phoenix's time there was more what he thought he wanted rather than what he truly does want. He realized basically that his feelings for Iris were not what they were in college, and maybe there are some lingering feelings for someone else instead... But otherwise he is still trying to cope with the whole "having to kill people to eat" thing because it so strongly goes against his moral compass. Phoenix is currently investigating the gods as well, trying to get some answers from them. But he won't join any!

The fourth wall may actually bring in Dahlia Hawthorne, Phoenix's evil ex girlfriend and the worst antagonist of the Ace Attorney series, which will make a lot of those awkward feelings come back, especially if Dahlia pretends to be Iris. If I bring in Manfred lmfao I will somehow have them interact but idek

SCENARIOS YOU'RE INTERESTED IN:

AM - Clashes with fourth god followers, perhaps? Before, he was mostly "lol I hate them both but whatever" but now that his goal has been more solidified, I want him to really sink into that role as a priest.

More people to victimize and/or innocent-looking people to corrupt, of course! He will pretend to be nice to certain people to lure them in and either corrupt them or antagonize them, depending. And evil villains to align with and/or clash with.

If you want your character to be tortured, AM is your guy. He could do it as the punitive director of the prison, but those tortures are more controlled since Big Brother is watching. He has his own secret medieval dungeon too. Heroes for him to clash with as well. I wish so hard I could have him clash with Phoenix Wright because god they would clash so beautifully. But yeah, anything like that!

Phoenix - I so badly want horrible, awful villains to clash with him and antagonize him. Please stick a "Kick me" sign on this guy's back.

Nicer characters for him to interact with would be good, and he's especially drawn to the more "innocent" types since he has a serious defender complex.

I'd love to have people try to sway him to the side of either god too.

CHARACTERS: Altair and I'm bringing Soo Won for the fourth wall
TELL US ABOUT YOUR CHARACTERS:

Altair is a shadow mage that was stranded on Earth with his friends after their world was destroyed. Altair comes from a nomadic desert world with a steampunk-like noble hierarchy. He was the first and only commoner to be chosen as a mage. The years he spent as an outsider among a vicious noble court because of that choice and the consequences of being a shadow mage have left him scarred and he is haunted by the dark choices he has made to protect his friends. He’s very secretive and distrusting, especially towards kindness. It’s safer to keep people away but he also desperately wants to be accepted so he ends up caring for more people than he should and he’s fiercely protective of the people he cares about.

Soo Won is the young king of Kouka Kingdom. He murdered the old King to protect the kingdom from King Il's destructive rule. He betrayed Hak and Yona, the two most important people to him when he murdered the king, but for the sake of the kingdom and its people, he is willing to pay any price, even his precious friends. He is a very calm and calculating ruler that hides his cunning behind an innocent laid back attitude and who values the power of people more than the gods.

WHAT YOUR CHARACTER(S) WILL BE DOING:

Altair is trying not to murder people. The false life in Draumheim really messed with his head and then he came back to find three of his friends had disappeared so he's not doing so well, especially when he was trying to open up more and let himself try to be happy. He has closed himself off again except with the few friends he has left which he is desperately trying to hold on to. His unhealthy coping mechanism has been murder in the past but he's trying not to fall into that bad habit again. I'm leaning towards him embracing hunting. It is better than going on a murder spree and he would only kill when he is hungry. Even if he hates it, killing does make him feel like he has at least some control in his chaotic life. He has tried to deny that part of him but I'm interested in playing with that dark side of him.

Currently, he is just trying to hold on after losing his friends(and getting into a fight with two other friends. Last month was really hard on him) In an attempt to help newcomers, Altair set up a monster meet and greet party at the Gregory Mansion. He hates it but he is trying to be helpful like Peace wanted.

I want him to investigate the sea of stars at some point, maybe after the fourth wall event. He's determined to bring his friends back. He's tired of losing everyone and he is not going to just accept it this time.

I'm not sure when, given how much Altair has had to deal with lately, but I want Altair to pursue his art as he did in the other Rsylig. It is his way of trying to move forward with what he wants in life. He doesn't want anyone to make the connection between him and Perry though so he is going to create a secret artist persona named Peregrine for his business and keep his identity hidden.

For the fourth wall specifically, I'm interested in Altair investigating the disappearance of the pearl and the pearl itself. He will also have no patience at all for the Tågevalgten and he will attack them at the smallest provocation. Scorn and disgust is something he knows painfully well and he will lash out at anyone that treats him that way. He has had a terrible month and he doesn't need this on top of everything else. Expect Altair to be extra prickly this month.

Soo Won on the other hand has very little experience with magic and he is a very curious person. So he will be a lot friendlier than Altair and eager to explore this strange place. His priority will be finding a way home, he has a kingdom to run, but he will still find time to explore and meet people. After all, he might never have a chance like this again so he should make the most of it and he loves people so meeting people from all sorts of different worlds is too good to resist. When he starts transforming and being compelled to eat everything, he will not be pleased. He has very strong opinions about the gods and he won't appreciate the gods toying with his life again. For the second half of the event, Soo Won will be offering his help to combat the terror the tagvalten are causing and try to figure out how to stop whatever is happening to them.

For his monster form, he is going to be based on a white and red carp and I was thinking of having his scales bloody and one side of his face fishier.


SCENARIOS YOU'RE INTERESTED IN:

For Altair: Altair needs more cr. He needs more friends even if he doesn't want anyone else right now and I'm always interested in exploring dark and negative cr with him. He is a bit of a ghost but that is slowly changing since he can't keep himself hidden forever and his circle of acquaintances grew a lot after the other ryslig. Altair hates the vast network Perry was so proud of. So far he has been able to keep his connection to Perry mostly secret but it would be interesting for him to have to deal with the consequences of Perry's black market network here in ryslig. I'm also interested in investigating shenanigans for the fourth wall event as well as his for his job as a detective for Cassandra, people to help him investigate the sea of stars, and fellow artists. He is also very anti-fog right now after the fog god took his friends away so he can finally get involved in god related things!

Soo Won: Anything! both positive and negative cr are welcome! I'm thinking of bringing Soo Won to Ryslig after his current game ends so I'm excited to see how he fits with Ryslig's setting.

TELL US ABOUT YOUR CHARACTERS: A legendary (at this point) yakuza, former patriarch, and man of a million talents (mostly involving ways he can kick your ass) who really just wanted to retire, run an orphanage, raise kids, and live on the beach. He didn't en up doing that so now he's here.
WHAT YOUR CHARACTER(S) WILL BE DOING: Trying to prepare for changing, trying to get acclimated to the new world, trying to see this as a fresh start. He's got a job, and he's settled in Bavan at the moment.
SCENARIOS YOU'RE INTERESTED IN: Kiryu just gave up pretty much every connection in the world he has (even before he got here) and he's literally someone who's main motivation is other people. So I'd like some opportunities to bond and find a place in the community. Something romantic would be nice, but, uh... you have an up hill road ahead of you; the man is dense in that area. He's a chronic kid adopter so younger ones who want parent figures would be great. Not opposed to negative CR but fair warning, he tends to be very active in dealing with antagonism; it's also hard because you basically have to be doing something incredibly shitty or purposefully targeting him and half the time that second one doesn't work.
ANYTHING ELSE: I've been kinda slow getting into the game but it's not due to lack of enthusiasm. It's just a lot and I tend to acclimate slowly ^_^ but I have plenty of funny gifs (it's YAKUZA)
