WELCOME BACK TO HELL HOME
Hello monster friends!
I decided to help out and create a post-event wrap up/cr meme for everyone who wants to share any info about where things ended up as everyone pops back into OU Ryslig as well as future plans, especially since I know many folks got a late start or are still threading but maybe know OOCly where stuff is going to end up!
So! It always helps to have a good single point of reference, right??

AU ALIAS(ES): Jun Osterman / HĂĄkan
DETAILS:
- Jongdae went into the AUverse feeling pretty awful post-Valentine’s event what with the big reveal that he actually eats people and then in the AU lived the crime life as a low level associate of a crime family whose main goal in life was to make himself important and generally be feared. Which… really flies in the face of his usual feelings where the last thing he wants is for people to be afraid of him.
- Handwave-y type things include any potential run-ins he might have had with law enforcement and monster-related things, since he was technically leaning more towards anti-monster than anything but didn’t really go out of his way to make a stand, but he was willing to do jobs that someone who feels a need to be careful about innocent monsters might not take. Also other criminal types!
POST-EVENT PLANS:- He’s definitely angry about the whole thing, because he doesn’t like people messing around with his life and his memories. Thus, he is BIG MAD at Daniel (who isn’t?) and might join in with the threatening and the angry mob haha.
- He is probably going to continue exploring things in this direction as he tries to figure out where his experiences in the AU fit in with what he wants and needs right now. He is also going to continue what he was doing originally, which is probably start asking people questions again. The shortest, easiest answer is looking for trouble!

AU ALIAS(ES): He also kept his same name! He was also known as the Black Bunny and went around with Lan Wangji (who was the White Rabbit) in all black with a matching mask.
DETAILS:
- His day job was working for the Jiang Corp. with Jiang Cheng whose parents took him in as a foster child, similar but different to OU given that this Wei Wuxian and this Jiang Cheng are from different versions of their world.
- He also did vigilante stuff at night!
- His opinions of monsters shifted over time because he ended up working around and with them more than he ever had before, out of necessity since he considers it part of his job to clean up messes when they happen (like some bad investments...).
POST-EVENT PLANS:- Wei Wuxian will be sorting out things like Feelings because oh boy things are complicated now in all the ways! Not only will he have to figure out some very confusing things involving Lan Wangji there's also the fact that he had somewhat confusing feelings re: Jiang Cheng as well in the fact that he both is and is not a person that he knows and cares about a lot. And now they both have memories of actually being family!
- Other than those tricky personal relationship issues he will continue what he was doing before they got zapped into the AU which was digging into Ryslig's lore and trying to learn more about the gods (particularly the Fog, as he has theories), so he will be interested in anyone who might have knowledge to share or anyone that otherwise might want to talk shop in that way and try to figure out how to get off this rock for real..!

AU ALIAS(ES): Dr. Robotnik
DETAILS: AU Robotnik wasn't horribly different from regular type, so he doesn't have too much to reconcile crwise beyond having some Wrongly Timed memories going on which he will promptly dismiss because, duh, fake. It's fine!!!! He's mad though.
Also he just went and got a tattoo of the plans for one of his drones while he was having his "this is all wrong" crisis because why the fuck not!!
POST-EVENT PLANS: He's pretty pissed off, gonna work even harder on trying to get out of Ryslig because he does NOT need anything like that happening again, definitely gonna yell at/threaten Daniel at some point. Beyond that, the usual go with the flow for me.
ANYTHING ELSE: always up for a bunch of things, if you wanna handwave anything that might have happened (like while he was collecting information) just lemme know!

AU ALIAS(ES): Yuzu Alize-Boyle
DETAILS: Yuzu wasn't very different at all from what she was like normally, but now it's somewhat possible that more people might know her name? She was kind of a rising celebrity in AU Ryslig, known for her work as a child model and her skill in gymnastics.
POST-EVENT PLANS: She's going through a lot now, since she's going to have to work through her relationship with Sandalphon... considering how they were adoptive daughter and father in AU Ryslig. All in all, despite her low life-expectancy, she was happy... but then she ended up seeing someone very special to her die, so all in all, it's arguable as to whether it was worth it.
Actually, in the first place, though it brought her CR with Sandy up a lot... she's fairly pissed that it happened in the first place, because surprise! Yuzu actually has a good family back home that she was heartbroken to have forgotten! Plus, double heartbreak to find out that her AU life was fake.
Basically, she's going to be pretty depressed for a while now.

AU ALIAS(ES): Same as above! However, he might have been known as the White Rabbit as well. He was anonymous the entirety of the time under that alias, but you would have recognized him for his semi-realistic white rabbit mask and hooded, white cloak.
DETAILS: Lan Wangji was a music professor by day and a vigilante by night (e.g., he brought both humans and monsters to Justice). He was also a monster hunter, but only ever went after monsters who were committing literal crimes with malicious intent. He was Wei Wuxian’s partner-in-crime as a vigilante – the White Rabbit to his Black Bunny. He was a rich kid and was very well-educated. His family was in the art trade and were also known as artisans (i.e., they made string instruments – in particular, they made guqins!). Anyone who asks him about that would have Lan Wangji confirm that he can play (and has his) guqin and that many of the names are consistent with his actual family back home.
POST-EVENT PLANS: He will be dealing with Wei Wuxian dealing with his Feelings, which Lan Wangji (now mutually) confessed ages ago. He assumes he was rejected due to complicated canon reasons. Otherwise, he will now be focusing on digging into the lore of the peninsula and trying to uncover more information about the gods. He will also be busking occasionally with Wei Wuxian between is inevitable gig as a music teacher/silk-spinner. He makes his own silk as a fae, you know? For anyone who hit me up (or did not hit me up!) on the plotting post, my apologies on sort of falling apart this month. If you would like to handwave some aspects with me or just go back and back-date everything, by all means! I am happy to do so. Come get some nice CR.

Souma | OTA
AU ALIAS(ES): Lio Narumi
DETAILS: He was, for a short time, completely fulfilled with everything he has ever wanted. His mother in AU was alive and they had a healthy, close, loving relationship. She greeted him every time they visited with "my beautiful boy" and hugs and kisses and a home cooked meal. His father was not alive in AU but had died honorably, taking the responsibility for his position in a way his OU father never had. His AU father had loved him fiercely and never hid it.
Instead of being rejected and disowned by his village and family, Souma had been accepted into the organization of the Rosenstrom family, and felt himself a valued member. His boss had allowed him to prove himself with his character and his actions. He had promised that Souma would always be cared for and always belong. Souma even had actual friends in Envis and Peregrine. All of Souma's most deep desires for love, honour, and acceptance had all been satisfied for a short time. Even the face in the mirror was one he could look at. He was proud of himself.
POST-EVENT PLANS: Let me know if you want to handwave or hash out anything ongoing!
It all comes rushing back rather fast that all of those things were just a dream, an illusion. He will be broken and deeply hurting for a while as he has to accept reality. He will be most likely to suppress and pretend that everything is fine while questioning the meaning of his existence. Outwardly he will do his best to soldier on, stiff upper lip, and all that.
Those close to him may pick up on signals that it is not fine. It is three steps forward and now two steps back for him. He will act with fear around mirrors and reflective surfaces. Flashbacks will be frequent and he will startle easily.
It may not be obvious so I will explain, Souma will have relapsed on the work he was doing internally on remembering his shadow half from life before Ryslig-- his dragon Kokuryuu, which he used to use to process his negative or difficult emotions and balance or cleanse himself internally. Without that part of himself, things get shitty quick because he isn't sure what to do with the darker impulses or negative feelings and thoughts that we all have, without using his shadow to process them into something constructive. He has inner work to do on using his existence as a kelpie in somewhat the same way.
This month he may try reaching out to someone else to help them or he may shy away. It will take work to get through his
thick seaweedy hairshell but determined and patient people will get there. His developing feelings of care for others are key to getting him to cut the crap. As a person who tries to figure himself out and heal by observing and listening to others, in times or this Souma really wants to meet new people and hopes to learn important things from them.CR IN SHORT: A wild lonely swamp butt horse with a very sad face appears!! Will you:

AU ALIAS(ES): Adam Usir
DETAILS: Being kidnapped by a monster and having to recover as a normal human sucks! Luckily, now he's an undead being of darkness and magic instead of teenage hormones and anxiety.
Let me know if you want to handwave/work out how any ongoing AU threads ended! I'll backtag a good bit, but I'll probably not be able to play the Adam version forever so the OU voice doesn't get muddled.
POST-EVENT PLANS:
- Daniel revenge (non fatal)
- Visit where his home was in the AU, have weird human emotions.
- Reach out to friends! He'll be checking in with people he knew in the OU as well as the AU, either over the network or by dropping into their homes/places of business, just kind of a quick "hey did you make it back OK?" I would like to connect him with AU CR in the OU! He just doesn't know which of Adam's friends/enemies/frienemies are monsters yet, so recognizing people's gonna be a longer term process.
- Set up a dead man's switch.
- Try to ignore the fact that he wasn't very Regular Yugi-like, which doesn't mesh with who he thinks he is (a fragment of someone else's personality, with superpowers). He was a completely different person?? He looked different? Being that person felt really right? But clearly he's just, you know, a darkness monster.
- Get superpowers back.
- Start amassing resources, like blood rations and money. His coping mechanism of choice in both universes is "if I just do better, and am clever enough, and prepared enough, I can stop bad things from happening," so he'll start using the casino minigame to collect one kind of in-universe currency and also trying to figure out what triggers the amount of mana coins you get.
- Finally visit the multiversal museum?

Altair
AU ALIAS(ES): Peregrine Frey (Perry to friends and the mysterious Crow to business associates)
DETAILS: Perry was basically Altair without all the serious trauma in his past, so he was a bit friendlier and not as guarded with people. He still lost his family, father to monsters and mother and sister to the chaos caused from one of the monthly events. He grew up in an orphanage with Jun(Jongdae) who was like a brother to him, and was very poor, so he still faced some prejudice from the rich. He was an artist who was also secretly a black-market information broker and art thief that targeted monsters and the rich, specifically people that profited from having monsters in their society.
He actually made quite a few friends (Lio(Souma), Ryou and Envis(Peace)) despite his shady career and had a large network of informants and clients for Crow’s information web, some of which he became reluctant friends with. (Adam(other yugi), Stan, Samuel(Sandalphon), possibly Majima? Depends on how the thread goes.) He also reluctantly helped Anna(Annie) find the truth about her fiancée even if he thought she was better off not knowing how terrible he was, and adopted Raphtalia. (sorry if I missed anyone)
While dealing with his memories of being a serial killer resurfacing, he tracked down the chameleon killer Ariel Knot(Aunamee) with Jader's(Javert) help and got himself killed when he confronted him alone to try to make sense of the unsettling similarities between Knot’s kills and his memories.
POST-EVENT PLANS:Altair is going to be a mess. He really liked the life that Perry had. He felt like he finally was allowed to be happy only for all of it to come crashing down as he was forced to accept his old life and relive all the trauma he had been desperately trying to move past. Understandably, he’s furious and with his serial killer memories fresh in his mind, he’s going to spiral back into killing to deal with how powerless he feels.
The first kill is going to partly be an accident. When he comes back after being killed, he is hungry and he’s going to stumble on a criminal on his way to Jack’s human restaurant and kill him. He decides to keep the kill a secret since he doesn’t want to lose the people he cares about. Throughout the month he is going to slip up and kill more often, relishing in the power he feels while telling himself he needs an outlet for his rage so he doesn't hurt anyone and killing terrible people protects people at the same time. He is going to continue to keep his murder spree secret from his friends and try to keep it discreet so no one else can use it against him. (feel free to find out! Altair has been extremely cautious about revealing his past so it will be fun to see how he deals with people finding out!)
During his murder spree he is going to find Annie hunting someone terrible. Since they share the same choice of targets, he’s going to start hunting with her since he’s desperate for someone to accept him how he is now. Apart from the killing Altair is going to be a lot more volatile and purposely start fights whenever he can. He has a lot of anger to deal and he loves the freedom and excitement fighting gives him. Around the end of the month, Peace is going to try to snap him out of it which is going to result in a troll kaiju fight.
Other than his murder spiral Altair is going to have to deal with the fact that too many people know him now and the reluctant friends he now has. On the bright side those friendships mean that quite a few people managed to slip past the wall all of his past trauma made him put up and he has friends without being super paranoid they are going to stab him in the back, yay! It also means that you are stuck with Altair for life now. Don’t worry, he’s a bit less prickly with people he’s accepted, most of the time.
He’s also going to be obsessed with finding a way to get rid of Aunamee’s memories since killing him won’t fix anything. So, expect a network post asking about fairy dust sometime after his murder spiral if I don’t forget.
Oh, and he’s going to pursue his art under the artist’s name Peregrine since he loved exploring art more as Perry. In short, it’s going to be a mess to start but in the long run it will actually be worth it? It let him see that maybe he can try to be happy even if he still sees himself as a terrible person.
ANYTHING ELSE: sorry it’s so long! This event was amazing and created all sorts of exciting possibilities for Altair. Again, I’m sorry if I missed anyone. Mt. Perry was a bit overwhelming, but I loved it!

AU ALIAS(ES): Nostriano Etu
DETAILS: During the event Nos was the son of an old money crime leader who had been mysteriously deposed, acting as the figurehead of this crime organization and and the owner of a local power plant. He was a prolific hedonist and cannibal with a strong distaste for monsters.
POST-EVENT PLANS: Nos is going to be having a very weird time as someone who suddenly has a deep and intimate knowledge of being human and all it's pleasures. And also what it's like to be a child and grow up and such, which he is going to hate. While he will be curious about said human pleasures, he'll be rationalizing it heavily as a delusional attempt to try and make them appreciate their lives as monsters and forget their original forms.
ANYTHING ELSE: He'll be seeking insights into his theory and other people who agree

AU ALIAS(ES): Virgil Alexandrescu-Higiri
DETAILS: Virgil had the same backstory as in his canon, but was an avid monster enthusiast and scientist in secret alongside his mechanic's business, dealing in the black market for monster parts and weapons, and connecting with the wannabe monster Flug and meeting his spouse of now two years Florence (Floofty) through it, and has been the adoptive father of Gosalyn for the last three years.
POST-EVENT PLANS: Virgil is compartmentalizing hard. While he really enjoyed his time in the AU, he's trying to compartmentalize it as a bizarre fantasy. He will know he's seen Flug's face, though, as well as trying to hash out his feeling about Gosalyn and Floofty. His angle is mostly "those are barely the same people, so many contexts have changed, lets try to avoid it."
ANYTHING ELSE: He's gonna be weird about it despite his best efforts, whoops
AM
CHARACTER NAME: AM
AU ALIAS(ES): Alan Masterson
DETAILS: AU info here! Anyway, Alan procured the monster laptops and developed a version of them for humans (without the network) so he's a rich tech CEO. He also is a serial killer/torturer and philanderer with more than one ex-spouse.
POST-EVENT PLANS: For once, AM will know what it was like to be born and grow up as a human. Not just existing in a human body, but being one. However, he's also a complete sociopath, so there's no love or anything that he ever experienced. It will give him a better perspective onto humanity, BUT....
Will this lessen his hatred of humans? Will it give him some compassion? Absolutely not. No, he'll take it in as information and process it and that's about it. He won't miss being fully human at all, especially because he embodied everything he hates about humans (but it's okay when he does it).
Basically, any CR that happened over the event will carry over and either give him something to make fun of people for, or perhaps carry on friendships/flings, depending on what the other wants. For instance, he will laugh at Javert forever for basically being a BDSM partner with him in the AU, but he could bond with NOS-4-A2 over the whole robot-turned-human-and-also-we-were-partners thing.
There's also the fact that he had a son in the AU, which could be interesting for the future... But obviously "Alan's" amount of love for his son amounts to zero.
As for his feelings on Daniel, since AM is the punisher in the prison, he'll just torture him a lot. But he won't be as mad as he could be. Yes, being a powerless human sucked, but it did give him good perspective. After all, AM was built to study and know every intricacy of humanity so he could wage effective wars. Really, it all depends on whether Daniel could be useful for AM in the future, which is possible.
ANYTHING ELSE: I really need to draw an awful family portrait of Alan, his ex-wife, and Kaz now. Just for the awful.
Phoenix Wright
AU ALIAS(ES): ...Phoenix Wright
DETAILS: AU info here! Phoenix is basically a fledgling attorney who owns Wright & Co. Law Offices. However, said law office is literally a room in the back of a beauty salon and he is the only employee. Fun. Otherwise, he is similar to his OU counterpart but much poorer, and has Maya as a sister. He is more driven to investigate suspicious monster murders not just as a lawyer, but because of the disappearance of his sister and mother under similar circumstances.
POST-EVENT PLANS: Phoenix won't change too much. Most significantly, he will gain a lot of empathy for Maya. While he obviously already cares deeply for her, the absence of her mother and sister and her feelings on them don't come up often, so now Phoenix will have a lot more insight.
Since Lucius was a high school bully to him, Phoenix will still be leery of him, but will do his best to remind himself that it wasn't real. His suspicions of Aunamee will only be increased, and his relationship with Javert will... basically be the same.
However, this whole thing is going to mess with his head. Phoenix hasn't been doing great lately because he had to actually kill people recently, and that destroyed him. Plus, Dandy was tortured by Daniel, and Dandy is Maya's husband so he's important! So add this on top of things to addle his brain more, and he's heading toward a dark place. What sort of dark place? I don't know!
Oh, he might start wearing a pork pie hat more often too lmfao.
ANYTHING ELSE: Phoenix literally started regaining his OU memories by a strange compulsion to shout OBJECTION! Golly gosh, what on Earth could have caused him to feel compelled to shout such a thing?

AU ALIAS(ES): Anna Ovesen
DETAILS: Anna was a young lady who worked in a clothing shop. She was spart of a group of church ladies who did charitable works for the community and was sweet as pie.
She also was trying to figure out how her fiancé actually died.
- Anna around day 3 started breaking down a bit over the memories not making sense
- questioned reality at Ringu. He disliked it so much.
- worked with The Crow (Perry) She fed him information to try and get information on her dead fiancé who as it turns out was a crappy guy.
- fought a vampire with her brother Luc Ovesen.
Anna also took up smoking and drinking in private.
POST-EVENT PLANS: Annie is going to try to actually BE nicer. Less torture more sunshine and rainbows right up until she gets tempted to deal with terrible men in basic monster ways.
Eat them. She will encourage Altair to indulge himself that way. Why not make life easier for the humans by getting rid of the trash?
Annie also is going to start smoking during times of high stress. A habit picked up from her AU self.
As a final note: Annie is going to at some point burn an effigy of the AU fiancé who died. It was an AU version of her toxic ex somehow and Annie wants to exorcise the feelings she has over the whole deal. Want to get involved in the weird scavenger hunt she is going to be doing to set that up?

Gabriel Morgenstern
AU ALIAS(ES): Dr Jakob Rhodes
DETAILS: Gabe was married to boyfriend(?) Montgomery Rhodes, and had his Peninsula assigned-child (read: older than Gabe) Five. He was operating a surgery out of Oleander Farmhouse with Monty, and primarily helped people who either had recourse to seek out a more... Openminded doctor or people living more rurally. He had Larry turn up and they talked about trauma (congrats Larry OU Gabe would rather die than admit he has a problem to someone face to face). He hunted a gargoyle down with Montgomery and they probably made sure it had a real bad time. He gifted his "son" a brand new knife for his first monster hunt. He had a complete mental breakdown with Mister Treble (Dr Blake for the event) and learned those bad dreams were not, in fact, bad dreams but memories and then helped Komaeda cut his arm off in a fugue state.
POST-EVENT PLANS: Gabriel is... Going to be a little withdrawn and defensive. He's not really doing very well being able to draw a contrast between fake life and real life, and it's really making him re examine himself and his priorities. He's going to be continuing to work at the prison as a coroner, but he's going to start trying to do more for new monsters under the Fog's banner, opening up to taking on people who want to study medicine / anatomy / working in pathology in small numbers.
And he's not going to be friendly at all to Fourth followers after Daniel's little ordeal. Very black and white 'all tarred with the same brush' thinking there.
ANYTHING ELSE:

Abigail Hobbs
AU ALIAS(ES): Abigail Toren
DETAILS: Abigail was living her ideal life in the AU, with a healthy relationship with a loving father, a big extended family, going to college and working a part-time job. There was still a darkness in her, pushing at the edges, which mostly manifested as a fascination with the monsters, but when she started to dream of her 'real' life she was horrified by them, and frightened that something like that could threaten her peaceful life.
POST-EVENT PLANS: Abigail is pretty distraught right now. She's finally had a taste of what it is to be in a normal family and the joys to be found in the mundane, and having that snatched away from her, being forced to face the guilt of her past again and knowing she's stuck with it, has her withdrawn and filled with self-loathing.
ANYTHING ELSE:

AU ALIAS(ES): Gosalyn Alexandrescu
DETAILS: She was adopted by Virgil around three years ago after her family was killed by monsters. She has held a grudge against monsters and wanted to become a monster hunter.
POST-EVENT PLANS: She's going to be mostly staying home and trying to figure out who she is again. Between everything that's happened, her sense of self has been thrown into quite a tailspin and she's struggling. If she goes out, it will probably be to cause more mischief...
ANYTHING ELSE: She needs friends! She might not be going out much but she needs some love.

AU ALIAS(ES): Emelie Hanterare-Bonde
DETAILS: Married to Fabius and mother to Herbert and Lila, she had the ideal life. Between caring for her family and working as a fashion designer, she's quite happy. On the outside, at least. Internally she wants more and she scratches those itches by seeking out juicy gossip... and cheating on her husband. In the end Fabius found out and made her pay.
POST-EVENT PLANS: She's mentally and physically damaged at the moment. She has a lot of healing to do, so she'll be staying at home for the time being. After the fog she'll be fully healed and be looking for revenge on Fabius and Daniel.
ANYTHING ELSE: Don't piss her off right now, lest you incur her wrath, too.
Wilhuff Tarkin
AU ALIAS(ES): Wilhelm ‘Wil’ Torens (profile here)
DETAILS:
A family! Friends! A thriving artistic career! A normal human being!
Wil held out, refusing to accept any of his weird space or monster memories as real until he was back in OU Ryslig. During the week he fluctuated between trying to manically repress everything and go about as normal, obsessively trying to reassure himself, and anyone who happened to approach him with concerns that this was just the fresh new horror of the month.
And now he’s back.
POST-EVENT PLANS:
Massive crisis. Absolutely a mess. He now has context to understand what being a fairly healthy human being is like and he had that perspective while remembering/realizing what a truly despicable and broken person he is.
(He’s also still feeling quite soft for his old family.)
And he’s still a foggie, he feels grateful, more than ever to be given a chance at life outside of wacky space land. But burning down towns and inflicting terror just isn’t something he feels great about anymore. I’d like him to eventually join the Lighthouse but he’s uh, gonna need to get his bearings first.
I’m not exactly sure what this Tarkin is going to be like. Better? Probably, it’s hard for him to get worse! Wracked with guilt and existential horror? Absolutely.
ANYTHING ELSE:
Kain Highwind
AU ALIAS(ES): Same!
DETAILS: Kain was a monster-hunter who operated his whole thing as a guard for hire, escorting people around the dangerous areas, etc, but also tackling hunting/killing jobs when it came to it. He hated monsters, absolutely despised them because of some things in his fake past.
