Welcome to the Ryslig Test Drive Meme! Below are a few prompts to get you started, but you may make up any prompt you desire! Please take a look at the navigation page for rules, setting information, and links to reserves and apps. Have fun!

SCENARIO ONE

You wake up on the beach thoroughly drenched, with your mouth full of sand. The salt water is making all the cuts and scrapes on your skin sting and the sand isn't helping. The air is slightly humid, ruining any feeling of refreshment you might have gotten from your dip in the ocean.

There are lights in the distance, but the unfriendly scent of gunpowder fills the air. If you're lucky, you're alone. If not - you might find yourself staring up into a pair of monstrous eyes or down the barrel of a local's shotgun.

SCENARIO TWO

So you've just arrived, and already some of the natives are trying to get on your good side with offers of food, shelter and other luxuries in return for hoping you don't eat them. They even have some helpful pamphlets to share with you. "How To Deal With Changes", "Alternatives to Human Flesh", "What to Expect When You're Expecting (to turn into a monster)" are all on the more informative end of the scale. There's even some detailing certain monsters, and the changes they go through. Some of these seem to have been passed down from one monster to the next.

Among these however, are some... not so helpful ones. "Bunnyipyips And You", "Axe Thief Axehounds," and "So you're becoming a Fur Bearing Trout" among others. Sometimes they have marks on them from previous readers saying they're lies, or pointing out good "jokes."

Then there are the people who aren't happy to see you at all. Glares and silent, judging stares if you're lucky, torches and pitchforks attempting to drive you out of the town if you're not. You may need a friend to help you.

SCENARIO THREE

"Seek us out," the voice whispers in your head, and before you have time to question it you've found yourself in someplace entirely alien.

Maybe it's the Fog God's ghostly town of Dyster, where exultant followers dance around bonfires and sing their praises to the skies above. Maybe it's the Fourth God's arcade, with small robots wheeling about amidst the lights and colors of old pinball machines.

Only one thing is certain: you are not alone, in this sacred place.

SCENARIO FOUR

The time has come and you've found yourself becoming a monster. Is the change instant, or gradual? Are you familiar enough with monsters to know what's happening, or is it a complete shock? Feel free to pick any monster type for this prompt, but note that you may not get the same one in game.

[ While Yuzu stashed away the pamphlets that were shoved in her face, she ended up seeing Katara with a similar expression to her own: general disbelief. Either way, Yuzu needed someone to talk to about this. ]

Um... did they give you the same stuff they gave me?

[watertender]

[She's jolted from her personal peptalk when she hears Yuzu's voice, and she turns around, offering her a weak smile.]

All of that and more. I think I have at least three copies of each of them.

Ah yes, humor to lighten the massive elephant in the room

[ Despite the smile not exactly being the brightest, the humor definitely helped, and Yuzu let out a small laugh. ]

Aha! Yeah, some of them also didn't really explain too much... I'm still not sure what a "Bunnyipyip" is...

[ Despite the light humor, there was still a rather large elephant in the room. It felt awkward to bring it up, especially since with the information she knows, the chances are that this is just some elaborate prank... but for some reason, she can't bring herself to fully believe what she tells herself. So, she pushed forward. ]

Do you... believe what they're saying?

I'm not sure... about either of those things.

[She sighs, glancing at the not-so-modestly-sized pile of pamphlets in her bag.]

It's all really hard to believe, you know? I know that the most unbelievable things can happen sometimes, but this is even stranger than usual.

[songstressedout]

Tell me about it...

[ Yuzu would gladly trade this situation for being stuck in an interdimensional war right now. At least then she knew what was happening and not stuck on an island in god-knows-where. ]

Oh, I'm Yuzu, by the way. Yuzu Hiiragi.

[watertender]

Katara. It's nice to meet you, even with the circumstances.

[She hums for a moment, thinking a few things over, before speaking again.]

Did you wake up on a beach, too? A lot of people seem to have been...

[songstressedout]

Yes, actually. It wasn't exactly the best way to wake up...

[ Her mind flashed to the fistful of sand she had to wash out of her mouth. She never gave much thought to sand before, but she might not have many good thoughts about it from now on. ]

[watertender]

You're telling me. I like beaches, too!

[But she's still shaking sand off of her, it's everywhere, no matter how much she brushes herself off. Mixed with the salt of the water and the general dampness, Katara isn't pleased and would really just love to rest and maybe take a relaxing bath.

But only after she manages to find her friends.]

I have no idea where we are. Everyone says 'Vandare', but that doesn't mean anything to me.

[songstressedout]

Yeah... I tried to ask more questions but most of them just ignored me and walked off.

[ Yuzu understands that if she takes what she's been told at face-value, their wariness is understandable. Still, basic manners, heard of them? She looks mildly annoyed as she speaks of this. ]

I just hope I'm not the only one of my friends here...

[watertender]

Hey, I'm sure it's fine... there's a lot of people here, and who knows how many people woke up with us? [If... they did, some part of her is still hoping she'll run into her friends.] Or who knows who's already here? We just need to give it some time.

[songstressedout]

Yeah, you're right!

[ The positivity was well-received, and Yuzu's expression brightened immediately. ]

[watertender]

[She sure hopes she's right.]

Who should I keep an eye out for? I'll let you know if I see them.

[songstressedout]

[ Yuzu thinks for a moment and describes Yuya, Gongenzaka, and Sora. She hoped that nobody else she knew happened to be here... ]
