TEST DRIVE MEME: JULY / AUGUST
Welcome to the Ryslig Test Drive Meme! Below are a few prompts to get you started, but you may make up any prompt you desire! Please take a look at the navigation page for rules, setting information, and links to reserves and apps. Have fun!
SCENARIO ONE
You wake up on the beach thoroughly drenched, with your mouth full of sand. The salt water is making all the cuts and scrapes on your skin sting and the sand isn't helping. The air is slightly humid, ruining any feeling of refreshment you might have gotten from your dip in the ocean.
There are lights in the distance, but the unfriendly scent of gunpowder fills the air. If you're lucky, you're alone. If not - you might find yourself staring up into a pair of monstrous eyes or down the barrel of a local's shotgun.
SCENARIO TWO
So you've just arrived, and already some of the natives are trying to get on your good side with offers of food, shelter and other luxuries in return for hoping you don't eat them. They even have some helpful pamphlets to share with you. "How To Deal With Changes", "Alternatives to Human Flesh", "What to Expect When You're Expecting (to turn into a monster)" are all on the more informative end of the scale. There's even some detailing certain monsters, and the changes they go through. Some of these seem to have been passed down from one monster to the next.
Among these however, are some... not so helpful ones. "Bunnyipyips And You", "Axe Thief Axehounds," and "So you're becoming a Fur Bearing Trout" among others. Sometimes they have marks on them from previous readers saying they're lies, or pointing out good "jokes."
Then there are the people who aren't happy to see you at all. Glares and silent, judging stares if you're lucky, torches and pitchforks attempting to drive you out of the town if you're not. You may need a friend to help you.
SCENARIO THREE
"Seek us out," the voice whispers in your head, and before you have time to question it you've found yourself in someplace entirely alien.
Maybe it's the Fog God's ghostly town of Dyster, where exultant followers dance around bonfires and sing their praises to the skies above. Maybe it's the Fourth God's arcade, with small robots wheeling about amidst the lights and colors of old pinball machines.
Only one thing is certain: you are not alone, in this sacred place.
SCENARIO FOUR
The time has come and you've found yourself becoming a monster. Is the change instant, or gradual? Are you familiar enough with monsters to know what's happening, or is it a complete shock? Feel free to pick any monster type for this prompt, but note that you may not get the same one in game.

Not that... she can figure out what - sure, she's got 4/5 intelligence, but she's not THAT quick - but whatever, it works.
Once he's done reading, though, and makes his suggestion... she just shakes her head a little.]
Everyone's trying that, but I'm not sure it's gonna be that simple. She's not exactly physical, y'know? It's not like we can just grab her and go for it or something.
Right now, there's a lab working on trying to get us home without having to mess with the Fog God, since it's so hard to get at her... that's where I'm putting all my chips right now.
[For some reason, though, she pauses here for a second... and looks around some like she just realized something.]
Actually - how about we walk and talk? I wanna get back to the city where it's less... open.
Monster hunters like to stalk around the beach, and while I could probably take a bullet, you're still human.
And I can't tell if they're nearby... I can't smell the gunpowder like everyone else can.

Where's this lab?
[For now, he shuts the notebook. He's read enough, and he offers it back to her.]
[He smiles, but it's grim and he's baring his teeth more than anything.]
Guess they must be scared, bein' powerless to fight... [And his ability to fight back is limited. It's fucking annoying, and he starts walking next to Jiro, unwilling to let her take a bullet for him because of some coward.] Your quirk, does it work now?

But Bakugou, she's made of metal... she can take a bullet and then some, it's fine!!
To his question, though, she shakes her head - even though she has three pairs of jacks lifted at the side of her face with all the motion her Quirk had.]
Kind of, but not the way it worked back home... these aren't even my normal jacks, technically.
One set has Earphone Jack's original pins, but the rest I grew in during the Fog...
But they're just cables. Any Simulacrum can move their cables like I can; they're just used for...
I guess the nicest word I can use here is "feeding".
I've got a couple extra things I can do with them, but that's just because I've been helping out the Fourth God, so he's given me a few extra gadgets to work with.

He tries to keep his face neutral even though that fact is disturbing as hell, but a shadow still passes over his face. He's not going to ask if she's eaten people before. He can't wrap his head around any of his classmates doing that.]
Simula-whatever, huh? You got any quirk besides takin' a bullet?
[He screws up his face in thought. Fourth God, Fourth-] Ain't the Fourth God's the Fog Bastard's enemy? They didn't bring us here? No wonder you trust him.
no subject
But at least she's got the sense to hide her jacks again, the cables reeling into the false headphones on her head almost completely; he doesn't need to think about that... it's fine.]
As a Simulacra? Not really. I don't get tired out from running around or whatever, and I'm a lot harder to knock around since I'm solid metal? But otherwise, it's just my cables.
Fog God kinda overlooked us when she was drawing up the plans for Simulacra, I guess.
But for working with the Fourth God - Elias - I've got a couple of things I can work with otherwise.
[... Okay, no, she has to unreel at least one jack - just to show him what she means.
It lifts a bit, just so he can get a good look at its copper tip, and after a second that copper reforms into something else... a little screwdriver head.
And then again it shifts, this time into a pair of pliers. And then a tiny blade, like you'd see in a pocketknife.
It's a bit like Momo's Quirk, but at a much, much smaller scale.]
This is just one thing I can do thanks to him; it's got some combat potential, but it's mostly just to use for things like picking locks or opening my chassis or whatever.
I've got one other thing I can do, too... but it's not really important. It's actually kinda underwhelming.
As for you, though... this actually reminds me. You have no Quirk, right? Not even one that isn't yours, right now?
