Welcome to Ryslig's test drive meme! If you're considering apping here, this is where you can try your characters out in the game's setting. A few things to note:
Test drive meme threads can be used for your roleplay sample!
Sample scenarios:
SCENARIO ONE: You've just been released from the hospital in Vandare and no one really seems to know what to do with you. The locals offer polite advice but don't seem to want to spend a lot of time with you. You and the other new arrivals stick out like sore thumbs, so perhaps one will spot you wandering about town.
SCENARIO TWO: You've become hopelessly lost in Lager Woods. Paths don't seem to lead where you remember them leading, and you feel as if you're going around in circles. Childlike giggling can be heard from no direction in particular. Suddenly, you stumble upon another character, who seems to be just as lost as you! Perhaps you can find a way out together.
SCENARIO THREE: The time has come and you've found yourself becoming a monster. Is the change instant, or gradual? Are you familiar enough with monsters to know what's happening, or is it a complete shock? NOTE: Feel free to pick any monster type for this prompt, but note that you may not get the same one in game.
[Spirit? Remy took a rather large step back from Bob, almost a jump, and kept his distance from the skull. Mattie always warned him about messing with the spiritual world, didn't want to anger a ghost or anything else that went bump in the night, even more so since he had seemed to had lost his gris-gris during that mysterious swim the doctors at the hospital told him about.]
Great, nice for ya. [Should he run? Could it follow him, or was it trapped in that skull? A ghost bound to an object? If so, it was to Remy's advantage, it meant he could just leave the thing here. If not... it could follow him if he insulted it.] Non, I ain't fae, 'nd not all mutants have major physical mutations.
[Bob cackles with glee when Remy steps away from him. It's not often that he gets that kind of reaction, and it tickles him more than he'd like to admit. Not that he can actually do a whole lot in his present state, beyond making some pretty, flashing lights, but there's no reason to admit that.]
So what does your mutation do? How does it give you a survival advantage?
[It was taking a large amount of control to not just kick Bob away and leave, enough that Remy had to relieve the need by tapping his foot against the ground in a steady but quick rhythm.]
Make things go boom, normally. [He hated to reveal that his mutation wasn't working, but it wasn't like he was helpless, just restricted.] Own built in firework show.
...ya stuck there or something? Don't tell me ya be out of juice too.
[Bob is blithely unaware of how close he is to getting punted, and keeps chattering away.]
Really? I know someone who can do something like that. She calls it the One Woman Rave. [He drops a wink at Remy.] I bet you're a big hit at parties, right?
Nah, I'm not stuck. I live here. I need permission to leave the skull, and you're not my boss.
[Although if Remy picked him up, Bob would be at his beck and call. He does have the good sense not to mention that, though.]
