Sample scenarios:
SCENARIO ONE: You've just been released from the hospital in Vandare and no one really seems to know what to do with you. The locals offer polite advice but don't seem to want to spend a lot of time with you. You and the other new arrivals stick out like sore thumbs, so perhaps one will spot you wandering about town.
SCENARIO TWO: You've become hopelessly lost in Lager Woods. Paths don't seem to lead where you remember them leading, and you feel as if you're going around in circles. Childlike giggling can be heard from no direction in particular. Suddenly, you stumble upon another character, who seems to be just as lost as you! Perhaps you can find a way out together.
SCENARIO THREE: The time has come and you've found yourself becoming a monster. Is the change instant, or gradual? Are you familiar enough with monsters to know what's happening, or is it a complete shock? NOTE: Feel free to pick any monster type for this prompt, but note that you may not get the same one in game.
[ Suddenly being lost in the woods is twelve times better than it was previously. There's a part of Tony that briefly considers that maybe Pepper's been here for a while that does dampen that feeling of joy, but it's kind of lost in the fact that hey Pepper's here in the woods and maybe lost. He'll take it, especially if she's heading straight toward him. ]
Possibly one of the few times I've heard you say that in a positive way. [ There's a brief moment when he considers not hugging her once she gets close enough, but he ends up giving her a quick hug before he pulls back to actually ask a question. ] Tell me you just got fished out relatively recently and not— long enough that you're probably pissed I hadn't notice yet.
[ He pauses. ] Strike that. Why are you in the woods?
I just got here. I've been wandering around in the woods for an hour or so, I guess. I got lost. [Pepper looks him over automatically, as she's done for years. He doesn't seem hurt. Back home, she might have tugged his lapel into place - at least, before she became CEO. Now she doesn't do nearly as much work to keep Tony looking respectable - she's mostly given it up as a lost cause.
But being CEO counts for nothing in this place. So the job of keeping Tony focused is hers again, apparently] Tony, please tell me you have a suit stashed away somewhere.
The role reversal I'm feeling right now is weird. Pepper— Pep, of all the places to go you went to the woods. I— when we get out of here, I'm possibly lording this over you for a week. Two at max. [ When Pepper looks him over he resists the urge to potentially do a twirl so she can see he's in one piece. Instead he just raises his eyebrows a bit. He promises he's totally in one piece and she doesn't need to know about the being fished out of the water thing and how he looked then.
Water under the bridge or something like that. ] I could tell you that. But I— that would be lying. It's not like I planned to find myself washed up in the middle of nowhere. I'm— pretty sure this place doesn't exist in general. I can't stash suits in places I don't know exist.
[Pepper huffed, but she can't help smiling. Tony always makes her smile, even when she wants to punch him lovingly in the face, which is nearly all the time, too. It's one of the qualities that keeps her around.]
Well, I thought I should get out of the creepy town and away from the creepy people who don't seem to want to help me get out of here. [Her lips thinned and eyebrows drew together. No suit meant no rescue, and that was not okay.] Well, what are we going to do, then? Can...can you build another one? I have that conference next week, and. And we can't just be stuck on some weird island, Tony.
