Welcome to Ryslig's test drive meme! If you're considering apping here, this is where you can try your characters out in the game's setting. A few things to note:
Test drive meme threads can be used for your roleplay sample!
Sample scenarios:
SCENARIO ONE: You've just been released from the hospital in Vandare and no one really seems to know what to do with you. The locals offer polite advice but don't seem to want to spend a lot of time with you. You and the other new arrivals stick out like sore thumbs, so perhaps one will spot you wandering about town.
SCENARIO TWO: You've become hopelessly lost in Lager Woods. Paths don't seem to lead where you remember them leading, and you feel as if you're going around in circles. Childlike giggling can be heard from no direction in particular. Suddenly, you stumble upon another character, who seems to be just as lost as you! Perhaps you can find a way out together.
SCENARIO THREE: The time has come and you've found yourself becoming a monster. Is the change instant, or gradual? Are you familiar enough with monsters to know what's happening, or is it a complete shock? NOTE: Feel free to pick any monster type for this prompt, but note that you may not get the same one in game.
Immediately her gaze lifted up in search of the girl or boy behind the teasing words. Yuuki didn't find it funny, though. Far from it. She still couldn't see whoever it was. Still alert, she moved forward to see if it gave her a better angle.
"It can only be considered hide and seek if both people are in on the game."
A thoughtful hum. "Maybe, but that just makes it boring. The fun is the surprise on the others face, completely not expecting such a thing at all. Maybe that's what all these voices are looking for, huh? Just trying to find some entertainment." A beat. "Especially hoping to get some frightened faces in return, I bet."
But the wording clarified something. 'These voices' the individual had said. That didn't really imply that it was whoever was up in the tree. Not that the observer didn't sound awfully amused.
She moved nearer until she spotted just who it was speaking to her. A boy?
"If you're not the one getting a kick out of watching a girl walk around lost in the woods, just what are you doing up there?"
"Motivation can be a very powerful thing, you know. Good or bad." As he certainly is well aware.
Whether he had been spotted or not, Sai decided to slip down from the tree. It was maybe ten feet up, if that at all, but he landed very easily upon his feet. Brushing some of the dirt from his arms, he took a good look at the girl before him.
"Trying to see if there are any paths that would lead out of this forest, of course." Not that he found anything, unfortunately.
That was her next question. While she still remained a little wary-- on edge, really. He was the only person she had physically come to see in a while. She glanced up to him.
"Did you find any?"
Her homemade version of a staff remained out, even if it wasn't pointed at him any longer. She knew better than to just left her guard down. But right now it looked like they were both stuck in the same situation.
The nonchalant of the reply left her confused. He wanted out too, didn't he? Then why was it that he didn't seem concerned one way or the other? At least outwardly. Her brows created.
"You say that, but even if someone is following us around and laughing, it's not like they could change or paths or make us get lost."
"And how are you positive about that? Maybe it's an illusion." He, himself, couldn't do such a thing, but that didn't mean than someone else wasn't. "We're trapped."
And he really did not want to think about how they had been pulled from the water; that somehow, he had been taken without even knowing. Last thing he knew, Ai had been shot, and the helicopter was spiraling. But they had not been over a body of water at all.
How irritating, though. He glanced around them again, as if somehow an answer would suddenly show itself.
She didn't know. Maybe it was because she couldn't access her abilities at all that she felt everyone around it was the same. But that wasn't necessarily true. It was just what she hoped.
"Then they're going to be disappointed, aren't they."
"I wonder what they're like. . ." Not that he sounded overly interested. He was the one usually at the top of things.Yet, now. . . well, now, he couldn't even do something so simple as give his hand a sixth finger.
He hated feeling so in the dark; so powerless. It wasn't fitting. It seemed only minutes ago that Neuro had most infuriatingly one-upped him, pulling that stupid stunt with the electricity. He didn't need all of this on top of it.
Otherwise the laughter wouldn't have continued to follow them. Her fingers tightened on the staff and she moved to peer deeper into the thickly wooded forest. The woods here really did give off a creepy aura. It constantly felt like they were being watched. Even now.
She glared out into the dark green.
"Listen up! If you don't stop now, we're going to get really angry! The jig is up, so you might as well stop playing around!"

'tch. "Is anyone else even around here?"

All Sai can even do at that moment was start to laugh. Really laugh. Because, really. Who is this girl?
"Are you stupid? Now you're just spurring them all more! You think they'll just give in?"
