Welcome to Ryslig's test drive meme! If you're considering apping here, this is where you can try your characters out in the game's setting. A few things to note:
Test drive meme threads can be used for your roleplay sample!
Sample scenarios:
SCENARIO ONE: You've just been released from the hospital in Vandare and no one really seems to know what to do with you. The locals offer polite advice but don't seem to want to spend a lot of time with you. You and the other new arrivals stick out like sore thumbs, so perhaps one will spot you wandering about town.
SCENARIO TWO: You've become hopelessly lost in Lager Woods. Paths don't seem to lead where you remember them leading, and you feel as if you're going around in circles. Childlike giggling can be heard from no direction in particular. Suddenly, you stumble upon another character, who seems to be just as lost as you! Perhaps you can find a way out together.
SCENARIO THREE: The time has come and you've found yourself becoming a monster. Is the change instant, or gradual? Are you familiar enough with monsters to know what's happening, or is it a complete shock? NOTE: Feel free to pick any monster type for this prompt, but note that you may not get the same one in game.
And he's shaking some sense back into himself in his head - asking those questions, deliberately showing he's not planning on picking a fight, on the other hand knows about the docks and yet certainly doesn't look like anyone from town, oh, why did he go and assume it was anything sinister...]
Yes, indeed you would be... I've been traveling from Vandare.
I don't suppose that the same... set... of circumstances apply to you? [While he's not asking it with much honest curiosity - he is erring on the side of assuming yes - he's somewhat hoping a little extra that that's the case, since, yes, that'll finish things off enough to settle him reasonably.]
[ He briefly closes his eyes and dips his head with a smile -- confirmation. ]
Unfortunately. [ He folds his arm at his torso and gives Garry a shallow bow. ] I am Loki, formerly of Asgard.
[ For he has been struck with a potential bandage to the likewise potential problem of recognition -- lies. Had he not "died" with honor, sacrificing himself to save Thor? No one could remember how they arrived in Vandare. That meant no one could, at the moment, hold any water against any explanation of his own -- that he hasn't a clue how or why he found himself suddenly revived.
It isn't an ideal solution, but it is the most beneficial course of action he believes he can take right now. ]
[He's not all that brushed-up on his mythology. He's fond of more unambiguously romantic things; mythology most definitely gets more gritty than he's usually in the mood for, and Asgard sounds half as if it's a name he should have heard someplace. That might be by association, as the man's name more obviously pings him, and... fantastical circumstances, fantastical surroundings, there is only one way to know whether he's misreading anything as meaningful on more than the most basic, obvious level.]
Loki... After the god?
[Oh, we will remember to introduce himself and be mentally knocking himself atop the head for not doing that first, but, alas.]
