JANUARY/FEBRUARY TEST DRIVE
Welcome to the Ryslig Test Drive Meme! Below are a few prompts to get you started, but you may make up any prompt you desire! Please take a look at the navigation page for rules, setting information, and links to reserves and apps. Have fun!
SCENARIO ONE
You wake up on the beach thoroughly drenched, with your mouth full of sand. The salt water is making all the cuts and scrapes on your skin sting and the sand isn't helping. The air is slightly humid, ruining any feeling of refreshment you might have gotten from your dip in the ocean.
There are lights in the distance, but the unfriendly scent of gunpowder fills the air. If you're lucky, you're alone. If not - you might find yourself staring up into a pair of monstrous eyes or down the barrel of a local's shotgun.
SCENARIO TWO
So you've just arrived, and already some of the natives are trying to get on your good side with offers of food, shelter and other luxuries in return for hoping you don't eat them. They even have some helpful pamphlets to share with you. "How To Deal With Changes", "Alternatives to Human Flesh", "What to Expect When You're Expecting (to turn into a monster)" are all on the more informative end of the scale. There's even some detailing certain monsters, and the changes they go through. Some of these seem to have been passed down from one monster to the next.
Among these however, are some... not so helpful ones. "Bunnyipyips And You", "Axe Thief Axehounds," and "So you're becoming a Fur Bearing Trout" among others. Sometimes they have marks on them from previous readers saying they're lies, or pointing out good "jokes."
Then there are the people who aren't happy to see you at all. Glares and silent, judging stares if you're lucky, torches and pitchforks attempting to drive you out of the town if you're not. You may need a friend to help you.
SCENARIO THREE
"Seek us out," the voice whispers in your head, and before you have time to question it you've found yourself in someplace entirely alien.
Maybe it's the Fog God's ghostly town of Dyster, where exultant followers dance around bonfires and sing their praises to the skies above. Maybe it's the Fourth God's arcade, with small robots wheeling about amidst the lights and colors of old pinball machines.
Only one thing is certain: you are not alone, in this sacred place.
SCENARIO FOUR
The time has come and you've found yourself becoming a monster. Is the change instant, or gradual? Are you familiar enough with monsters to know what's happening, or is it a complete shock? Feel free to pick any monster type for this prompt, but note that you may not get the same one in game.

She more figured this lady was a bit spooked. Which, pretty fair, most people tend to be spooked coming to Ryslig.
In any case, she moves to the prize counter to ring the service bell- like she said, this isn't about ethics. Maybe. Probably. A robot very quickly zips out from the door.] Ummm...
[Wait-] What kind of food do you like?

(Johanna herself isn't very tall, just at about 5'3", and she angles her head down to get a better look at the kid.) What the hell is even your name, kid? I'm Johanna.
no subject
[She trails off, only half aware that introductions are happening.] Oh!
I'm Reira!
Mnh, I guess the food comes with fries too....
no subject
Just get me something you would get. I think you're a good judge of character.
(She winks.)
So kid, Reira, what's going to happen to me?
no subject
[That's...a lot. If she had it her way, this lady would get to try Everything, because they are clearly missing out.
She therefore closes her eyes and decides-] We're gonna have nachos..! Make sure they're normal ones though okay?
[The robot beeps and disappears. Reira, in the meantime, looks back to Johanna.] Mnh...I guess that depends what you mean? There's the stuff that happens to everyone, but I'm not gonna know what happens just to you...
no subject
Explain it to me like I'm an idiot, because I am. Okay? (She smiles, and somehow it doesn't look like it does not belong there. Johanna was a jerk but her smiles were real.)
no subject
[That's code for People. But she's not going to say that just yet, because Johanna seems nice, and that's a super mean thing to note as a possibility in a safe place.] So it's just beef and things on them.
Nachos are like...chips? But you put meat and beans and cheese on top. They're good but you have to eat them kinda fast or they get all floppy.
no subject
(Johanna deciphered the code. It wasn't hard. So she's going to start talking super fast or let Reira talk more about food. Oh god. Not even in Panem did they resort to cannibalism. Then again, is that what it's going to be? Johanna takes exactly 4 seconds to finally burst out.)
I'm going to turn into a monster.
no subject
Reira blinks, turning back. She doesn't seem surprised by the words so much as the fact that there were words at all.] ...Yeah?
...I guess that means I don't have to explain that part then, so that's good. Um, I'm a monster already, so.
