So, he hasn't really been around Elsa long enough to pick up much. He knows she's generous, glamorous, likes music, and that she ran a freakshow. The last pings him as a little disturbing but he's chalking it up to different times and different values. The accent and love of music (not to mention the accordion) are winning him over. Waldo has grandparents from Germany and they were a big part of his life, gave him music lessons, so he's nostalgic.

He has no idea she always sings or that she's the headliner, he just assumes it was a one-time deal. He's not really going to be sure what to think once he realizes what she thinks about her voice, but he might just shrug and get on with whatever he's doing unless it directly impacts him or someone else.

As far as Faust though, it's both "creepy in a quiet harmless way" and "good person." He's not sure what to think of the thing with Eliza. It seems normal enough but somehow it doesn't feel normal. He admires Faust's bedside manner and generally tries to imitate him with patients.

he's absolutely on board with Faust's attempts to find out the minimal amount of person you can eat and still be sane. It's a relief to him that someone else cares about that.
