You know that weird guy that looks like your drunk uncle and acts like your drunk uncle but actually isn't your uncle?

That's how Zack feels about Rick. Plus that weird incident where he was almost scrapped for parts. Still, Zack has met worse people, so he can sort of tolerate it? It's just.... Weird.
