FANDOMS: A LOT TBH! I'm very much a horror/spooky shit fan, so my fandoms (aside from the obvious Silent Hill) include a lot on that end. Twin Peaks, X Files, Stranger Things, etc etc. But I also love animation and cartoons, so Gravity Falls, Steven Universe, animated movies etc. On the animu end, I'm trapped in a Fullmetal Alchemist hell from which there is no return, and also you can pry Pokemon from my cold dead hands.

I mean, when I say I loved SPN, I wrote my final ancient lit dissertation on the equivalencies between old epics and Supernatural; it was everything good and pure in my life. It reintroduced me to classic rock, which I'd pushed aside forever, and ah the lore the lore. Then the last few seasons were garbage (IF ANYONE IS CURRENTLY WATCHING SPN AND NOT CAUGHT UP, STOP READING) especially with that shitass Amara plot and that anti-climactic ending of the last season, holy shit.

I'm on ep 18 of this season and I can't. go. on. I'm trying; I was so stoked in the beginning, between Ketch and Mary being surprisingly good in her role, the way they're really pounding you with the fight scenes, the return to the MoW feel, like they were nailing it. Then they brought in the Men of Letters again and yeah while Ketch is a part of that, that plot is laaaaaame and they need to kill it. They've softened so much over the years to appeal to their younger, new Tumblr audience but like. To quote Jensen, "that's not what the show's about, man"

And fuck, right? That plot just dragged and dragged and dragged and then the ending was so just... I was not fond of it. I got attached to one of the MoL tho and thought they were going to go in a more SPN direction with it, but then they snapped right back into the Ketch plotline. The last few episodes were good, but the end of it was... not good (save for one character who I'll not spoil you for. The actual end of the season tho had my housemate going No FUCK THIS if they don't fix it, I'm DONE. So yeah.

but Yeeeeah, I go back and watch the earlier stuff and it's like... when a horror game loses the plot and goes 100% SoL just in the setting.
