CHARACTERS: Lucas Baker

TELL US ABOUT YOUR CHARACTERS: Lucas is the twenty-something-year-old former black sheep of a son in a quote-unquote Zombie Redneck Torture Family of 4-7 (depending on who you count!) - and up to arriving in Ryslig, he'd been using the past few years of being able to get away with it to turn a since-childhood fondness for and prodigious level of ability in tinkering into a hobby in morbid engineering, from needlessly lavish locking mechanisms to homebrew weapons to deadly traps. When his parents aren't around to put a muzzle on their puppy, he's generally high-spirited, chatty, inquisitive (if selectively), and playful - but he also has the attitude of an obnoxious, bratty preteen when on his best behavior; and on his worst, he's a sadist who loves feeling he's got the upper hand on others - and gets, well, pissy if he's rightfully put in his place.

He's also a vampire, and is stoked to have his changes coming in!

WHAT YOUR CHARACTER(S) WILL BE DOING: In general, he's been having a grand time thus far living parents-free in a place where morbidity and violence seem to be a part of everyday life; and interests/habits-wise, he's been bumming around with whatever cash he can find or swipe (he's still not yet thought about getting a damn job, you swine, though that might change if something strikes him as actively interesting), and regularly scavenging appropriate spots in Vandare and Bavan (spending the meat of his time and having a home base in the latter) for scrap and electrical equipment to use in projects - and now that he's got bloodthirstiness and the fangs to match it, he's going to happily start getting back on the trapmaking horse.

In terms of plottier things, he is interested in how the gods "work", and has expressed that especially re: the fog and what exactly it has to do with transformation - though he vehemently intends to stay neutral.

SCENARIOS YOU'RE INTERESTED IN: I'm thoroughly interested in potential partners-in-crime and antagonistic CR, the latter absolutely including characters who he might be able to interact with in a rival sort of sense or who'd be up to try keeping him in line! That isn't all I like the idea of, however - seriously, if you've got anything in mind, I'll be willing to go for it!

ANYTHING ELSE: Three things about Lucas! He is, one, from a canon installment that's fairly new and spoil-able; two, a bit over-the-top and potentially grating; and three, an addition to Ryslig's resident... evil residents, as a canonical serial killer who pulls out all the stops to terrorize and then slaughter targets. If you'd rather avoid any subjects in interactions with him or him altogether, on those or any other fronts, please, feel free to comment onto his opt-out post!

For more general purposes, I can be contacted over on Plurk at schmendricks, as usual! In addition, re: tagging speed, I run on PST, and I try to knock out at least one round of tags/sit down for one deficated session of tags a night, though personal obligations may cause me to need to skip one or two days a week.

I love Lucas so much that I'm rushing through the game so I can play with you without spoilers. When I come back, I would love to see what type of CR Lucas and Mello develop based on their mutual vampism and uncouth demeanor. I dunno if he'd be a good partner in crime because he's very "Just do what I say," but I think they can raise some hell together!

Ohh, my goodness. First of all, I apologize for the rushing and hope it hasn't been to any playing detriment! But second of all, ha, ohh my I would love to try that out when you come back - especially considering the fact that they didn't... get off to a great start (at least not for a traditional value of it) on the network. Again, Lucas has been spending time in Vandare, and so I'll definitely be raring to go and see how things work out off that alone, some prompt pertaining to vampirism, or anything else, but either way, ha, probably true enough given they've both got stubborn dispositions, but I could absolutely see them raising all manner of hell together!

-- I mean, uh. Partners in crime, you say?? While Ibuki can't get behind helping with the jigsaw happenings since she just came from Beachside Battle Royale, if he plans on anything like smashing mailboxes or burning things for fun, Ibuki would be so down for it!
She's probably gonna give him a new nickname, though. Because she's the dog, now.
He's gonna be a bad influence on her, but really, she's a bad influence on herself. So.

My thoughts exactly, re: both the desire for further CR and, ha... the fact that he'd probably be a bad influence, but at least this is a place where it might have fewer pertinent repercussions than elsewhere...?

And FAIR ENOUGH, on both the nickname and the abstaining from Jigsaw-ing - Lucas does like setting fires! (And also blowing things up! Even the miniboss in the section of the game he presides over bursts into a fiery explosion upon defeat, and speaking of which, he ICly blasts this during that fight, hopefully Ibuki sufficiently approves)!

In general, though, I will say I love CR between these two and the idea of it keepin' on with keepin' on thus far!

... That's actually hilariously similar to Ibuki's own playing, if much slower in tempo. Speed that up quite a bit and it could totally pass off as something she was jamming out with just for the hell of it! Which means yes, Ibuki would totally approve.

But yes! Let's keep on keepin' on with these two, and maybe someday he could even rope her into doing the lighting effects and pyrotechnics for a death trap? Definitely not make the trap itself but... if he's gonna be bringing Saw to life in Ryslig, he's gotta have the showmanship, right?

Ohh, dear, so it wasn't just me on hearing that clip of her music, and ohh, man, I'm sorry, Ibuki, re: the idea of her getting involved in ramping upthe AWESOME factor of deathtraps, but that is a tasty and entertaining prospect.

And technically, Amanda brought Saw to life in Ryslig first, but ANYWAY! Ha, I am delighted if you're still equally fully game! Man, so far these two are looking to surprisingly go together like Pinky and the Brain! Or rather Puppy and the Vamp, I suppose! (One is a genius, the other... likes... amps?)

Pffha, sorry in advance for Marco's sake, if that particular point's leveraged or used as a pointed "in", but that's still a point to potentially be used, indeed!

Honestly even with just the start of their CR, I am...having a blast with Espurr and Lucas' threads right now. It's got that weird edge where it's not negative persay but it's not at all 'We Frands' either more like 'THEY'RE DEALING WITH THE OTHER'S SHIT' and I love it-

Espurr on that note is staying solidly neutral herself and is Also quite curious about all this fog nonsense so these are some amusing parallels to say the least...

Idk if she'd be anything on the level of a rival or a 'muzzle' but heck she's certainly likely to do SOMETHING.

Ahh-ha, geez, I'm delighted if you are, and honestly, I've been getting a kick out of them, too for the same reasons! I was definitely intrigued by the idea of how CR between them might end up going on your initial tag, but goodness if the way it's already going isn't already one of those interesting things that only cross-canon can provide!

Ha, those parallels are interesting to note as things to keep in mind, and I'm sure she will! I will definitely be interested in seeing how furthering CR between these two goes!

Fun Facts relating to her username; in her game canon she stalks the protag up to a Major Plot Incident, gets caught watching after said protags are 'done away with' and decides

"I could basically die. It's true. Or I could totally pretend to be on their side and fuck with them"

Ohh, my god. I played (and loved) that installment, but aghh it might be because it's been a little bit, but I failed to recall that moment even though I did love Espurr throughout. (And haa, did remember enough, I suppose, to thumbs-up that username!)
