TEST DRIVE MEME: MARCH

SCENARIO ONE

You wake up on the beach thoroughly drenched with your mouth full of sand. The salt water causes various cuts and scrapes on your skin to sting and the sand isn't helping. The air is slightly humid, ruining any feeling of refreshment you might have gotten from your dip in the ocean. There are lights in the distance but the unfriendly scent of gunpowder fills the air. If you're lucky, you're alone. If not, you might find yourself staring up into a pair of monstrous eyes or down the barrel of a local's shotgun.

SCENARIO TWO

So you've just arrived, and already SOME the natives are trying to get on your good side. Offers of food, shelter and other luxuries in return for hoping you don't eat them. They even have some helpful pamphlets to share with you. "How To Deal With Changes", "Alternatives to Human Flesh", "What to Expect When You're Expecting (to turn into a monster)" are all great pamphlets. There's even some detailing certain monsters, and the changes they go through. Some of these seem to have been passed down from one monster to the next.

Among these however, are some... not so helpful ones. "Bunnyipyips And You", "Axe Thief Axehounds," and "So you're becoming a Fur Bearing Trout" among others. Sometimes they have marks on them from previous people who had them saying they are lies, or pointing out good "jokes." Then there's the people who aren't happy to see you at all. Glares and silent, judging stares if you're lucky. Torches and pitchforks attempting to drive you out of the town if you're not. You may need a friend to help you.

SCENARIO THREE

"Seek us out," the voice whispers in your head, and before you have time to question it you've found yourself in someplace entirely alien. Maybe it's the Fog God's ghostly town of Dyster, where exultant followers dance around bonfires and sing their praises to the skies above. Maybe it's the Fourth God's arcade, with small robots wheeling about amidst the lights and colors of old pinball machines. Only one thing is certain: you are not alone, in this sacred place.

SCENARIO FOUR

The time has come and you've found yourself becoming a monster. Is the change instant, or gradual? Are you familiar enough with monsters to know what's happening, or is it a complete shock? NOTE: Feel free to pick any monster type for this prompt, but note that you may not get the same one in game.

[Karamatsu tosses his head, and when he does...there's actually a little bit of literal glitter that seems to come from him and hover in the air for a moment before disappearing with the mist around them. And no that's not your eyes playing tricks on you; just run your finger along his shoulder and see how much faerie dust you come up with.]

There are so many things I could tell you, so why don't you start with something you would like to know about?

[Dandy does just that, throwing personal boundaries to the wind and sticking his finger all up in Karamatsu's shoulder. Yup, that is definitely some sort of glitter shit on his finger now.

Okay, question number one.

What shampoo are you using, because it's seriously giving you a bad case of dandruff, dude.

Which leads us into question number two, are you contagious?

Eh?

[Karamatsu blinks, but it doesn't take him long to realize what Dandy is talking about.]

Oh, non non, this is not dandruff! It is Faerie dust! It allows me to cast certain spells, though I have yet to practice it much...right now it is not imbued with anything, so it is just normal dust.

And...I am fairly certain becoming a monster happens to all of us, so it would not matter if I were contagious or not.

[If Dandy's actually listening, he doesn't give anyone any reason to believe so. That's probably because he isn't, he's already trying to come up with as many stupid questions as he can.]

Question three, aren't fairies supposed to be tiny hot chicks?

[YEAH, WELL...Karamatsu might be a Faerie, but he rocks it. He has no shame, and he doesn't even crossdress as regularly as some of his brothers do.]

It could be worse. I could be a monster without legs. And the wings, though initially cumbersome, are quite useful.

You could! But I did not dye mine. It became this color all on its own.

[Perfect? Perfect? Dandy's all set to question his definition of perfect, quiz him on the number of different products he uses, ask him where he keeps every single emergency comb on his person. He's even prepared at least two and a half insults.

If sense actually sunk in, Dandy could be facing some serious competition. As much as he hates to admit it, his hair doesn't sparkle, and if that neon blue mess actually got sculpted into a masterpiece, well...]

Of course. Anyone could see that I take immaculate care to ensure that my appearance is nothing short of beautiful~

[Barring the scars on his face, but it's fine.]

Face-wise, he is a muppet, Dandy has no fear.]

Then why the hell is your face all scratched up?

[Karamatsu actually visibly stiffens for the first time since he started talking to Dandy, looking- for a moment- disturbed. It passes quickly, but it happens.]

There was an incident, but...it is no matter now.

[If Dandy cares about any "incidents," he doesn't say anything.]
