TEST DRIVE MEME
TEST DRIVE MEME | ||
Welcome to Ryslig's test drive meme! If you're considering apping here, this is where you can try your characters out in the game's setting. A few things to note:
Sample scenarios: SCENARIO ONE: You've just been released from the hospital in Vandare and no one really seems to know what to do with you. The locals offer polite advice but don't seem to want to spend a lot of time with you. You and the other new arrivals stick out like sore thumbs, so perhaps one will spot you wandering about town. |

'Looks like I'm not sleeping tonight.'
Not that he distrusts the kid, but he sure as hell doesn't trust what's happening to him.
(What will happen to HIM too)]
Okay, I'm gonna get wood while I can still see. Don't move.

[And that was the truth. If nothing else, the jacket he's wearing is giving him some small comfort, like he can...almost pretend these changes aren't happening. If the pain wasn't so prevalent, he could.]

[He doesn't go far: these woods like to play tricks, something he learned first hand earlier. But he has to get enough to last the night- he's sure as hell not leaving once the fire's going.
Once he returns he gets to it, setting up a circle of stone and building a leaning of sticks. If nothing else he's *read* about how to set up a camp fire. Thankfully he has a old flint lighter he bought pretty soon after showing up here. Practical.
Still, with no real kindling it's taking awhile to get the sparks to really stick]

He tightens his grip around his legs as he feels the pain well up inside again, his stomach hollow as he stares blankly at the side of Rin's head while he works, eventually having to force his gaze back down to the ground.]

Oi. Stop looking like I have steaks tied to my head.
[It's... not exactly accusatory, but not exactly joking either. Just a firm statement]
We both know what happens here, no point pretending we don't. I'm depending on you to be stronger then that for tonight, understand? I WILL clock you with one of these logs if I have to. But I don't want to.

I...I know. I'm sorry.
[He just hopes that he'll be able to hold out, like Rin says. He's made it this long...but the more his body dies, the hungrier he becomes.]

[He awkwardly rubs his necks, popping it a little and rubbing and rotating his shoulder]
...sorry.
[Oh, that's a fire going thank god]
no subject
It's fine. Don't worry about it.
no subject
[But he was going to regardless. But how do communicate? Damn. In the end once the fire is going strong he decides against words at all and just sits next to Dipper. A silent show of acceptance.]

He glances off to the side, and spots the hat that lead him here in the first place. He picks it up, gives a pondering look-
And sinks his sharp but natural teeth into the blue half, tearing first one hole, then another. The lighter seals the edges, and once that's done he shoves it down on the kid's head, the holes allowing the antlers though. Another tug and the bill is at least some protection from the glare]
There. Now try to get some sleep. I'll keep watch.

[Dipper looks up when the familiar weight of his old hat suddenly comes down on his head, fitting a little snugly now since his antlers are fighting for room. It does get a smile out of him though as he rests his chin against his knees.]
Okay...I'll try. ...Thanks, Rin.

[Rin settles in, poking the fire with a stick and glaring at the sounds of life shifting out int he woods. As if to warn off anyone considering it.]
