Welcome to Ryslig's test drive meme! If you're considering apping here, this is where you can try your characters out in the game's setting. A few things to note: The State of the Game Discussion produced a lot of great suggestions and we now have a post for Plot Suggestions and Monster Questions. You can only app ONE character per round so choose wisely. Reserve and application dates have been announced. Test drive meme threads can be used for your roleplay sample! Sample scenarios: SCENARIO ONE: You've just been released from the hospital in Vandare and no one really seems to know what to do with you. The locals offer polite advice but don't seem to want to spend a lot of time with you. You and the other new arrivals stick out like sore thumbs, so perhaps one will spot you wandering about town. SCENARIO TWO: You've become hopelessly lost in Lager Woods. Paths don't seem to lead where you remember them leading, and you feel as if you're going around in circles. Childlike giggling can be heard from no direction in particular. Suddenly, you stumble upon another character, who seems to be just as lost as you! Perhaps you can find a way out together. SCENARIO THREE: The time has come and you've found yourself becoming a monster. Is the change instant, or gradual? Are you familiar enough with monsters to know what's happening, or is it a complete shock? NOTE: Feel free to pick any monster type for this prompt, but note that you may not get the same one in game.

[ Yosuke doesn't mean to be sentimental or anything, but Yu always knows exactly what to say to make him feel better, no matter the situation. Despite himself, he's grinning. ]

You're right. We did it then, we can do it now. [ At the compliment, he can't help but feel a gnawing sense of pride. It's just like old times. ]

... Thanks, partner. [ Beat. ] Guess you're our leader again, huh? Couldn't get rid of us that easily.

[Alright! That's the synergy he's been missing. Not that his other friends don't give him that boost, but his friendship with Yosuke is a level above the others. He lets out a small laugh.]

That's right. Nothing can bring us down no matter what situation we're found in, Persona or not.

[He can't help but wonder, all the while feeling guilty about it...what type of creature would Yosuke turn into? Or maybe his friend is already thinking about that too.]

Besides, like I said, I'm from your future. It won't be the first time the Investigation Team is back in action.

[ It's true; thoughts of when he might change and into what float unbidden through his mind, despite his attempts to ignore them. He tries to console himself with the thought that at least maybe it'll be something cool and useful... but, finding that that's not really helping him feel better about the whole thing, he focuses his attention on what Yu is telling him. ]

Oh! Yeah, you mentioned something about that, didn't you? So, c'mon, what's the deal with that? [ Of course he wants foreknowledge from the future. How cool is that? ] Unless you can't tell me because of, uh... time rules or something...

[ Yosuke apparently watches a lot of TV. ]

I already told Adachi that we'd stop him. If there are rules, they aren't doing a very good job. [He crosses his arms again, thinking about the best place to start...and how much he wanted to break the tension a bit with a little joke. At his friend's expense. Well, a good way to distract him, right?]

It all started when I came to visit during Golden Week. Teddie called me up because he wanted me to pick up a nurse magazine for you...

[ As Yu mentions that he will visit during Golden Week, Yosuke feels a little... relieved. Not that he would ever believe that his partner would ditch him for the city, but it's comforting to know that that future is assured, until-- ]

H-Hey, hold on-- a what now?

I didn't know you liked nurses...

[He's even stroking his mane as he says it, lips curled into a smile. What a jerk.]

H-Hey, shut up about that! [ Maybe he made a mistake letting Teddie stay with him... he resolves to issue him a formal notice of eviction as soon as they make it back. ]

Besides, I don't need one, I already-- anyway, we shouldn't be talking about stuff like that at a time like this!

[ Stop while you're ahead, Yosuke. ]

Well, we did all wake up in the hospital surrounded by nurses...I told you about Sayoko-san right?

[He really wishes he was sorry. But somehow if Yosuke knew about his own dreams at night he knew he'd never hear the end of it either. Probably. Maybe he just wants to escape this reality, even if but for a few minutes of them having their minds somewhere else.]

Right. So the midnight channel started again...there was a tv show about all of us entering a tournament to fight each other...
