TEST DRIVE MEME
TEST DRIVE MEME | ||
Welcome to Ryslig's test drive meme! If you're considering apping here, this is where you can try your characters out in the game's setting. A few things to note:
Sample scenarios: SCENARIO ONE: You've just been released from the hospital in Vandare and no one really seems to know what to do with you. The locals offer polite advice but don't seem to want to spend a lot of time with you. You and the other new arrivals stick out like sore thumbs, so perhaps one will spot you wandering about town. |

A sharp gasp that sounds more like a wheeze than anything tears from Dipper's throat, even though he knows it's coming. He stumbles back with his arms hooked at his sides, suddenly feeling rather useless out here in the middle of the forest with absolutely nothing to protect himself with on the off-chance that this person is lying through their teeth.
They sound okay enough, but that isn't going to be enough to keep Dipper from freaking out a little.]

[But she's not trying to be scary right now. So the thing that steps out of the canopy isn't frothing or snarling or doing anything else that's overly alarming. Aside from being, well, a bird person.]
[Because that's what she is.]
[Tipping her head to one side, she crouches there on the branch and idly scratches the back of her neck with one big, black talon.]
Yo.

[Wow, so. This is. ...a thing.
Dipper stays where he is, not coming any closer nor backing any farther away, taking the chance to get a better look at Heather in the gloom. And...yep, she definitely is a bird person.]
You.....uh.
...
You wouldn't....happen to know the way out of here....would you?
no subject
Well, if I had to do it on the ground, probably not, but I know how to fly out of here.
[She pauses, tilting her head the other way.]
... I guess that wouldn't help you much, though.
[DIPPER YOU HAVE A VERY DISTINCT LACK OF WINGSPAN.]
no subject
No, not really.
Listen, I've been going in circles for hours. Is there any way at all you can help me?

[And he just figures that if she wanted to do him harm, she already would have.]

[Spreading her wings, she hops down to a lower bough, grabbing a branch for balance with one scaly hand.]
We're in for a long walk, though. Just warnin' ya. You wandered in deep.
[She flaps again, this time leaping to another tree. She'll have to stay in the canopy if she wants to have any idea where they're going.]

[He sighs, starting to follow her as she heads off into the forest.]
