TEST DRIVE MEME
TEST DRIVE MEME | ||
Welcome to Ryslig's test drive meme! If you're considering apping here, this is where you can try your characters out in the game's setting. A few things to note:
Sample scenarios: SCENARIO ONE: You've just been released from the hospital in Vandare and no one really seems to know what to do with you. The locals offer polite advice but don't seem to want to spend a lot of time with you. You and the other new arrivals stick out like sore thumbs, so perhaps one will spot you wandering about town. |

That being said, she sheds like crazy.
Xion smiles, clearly relieved. Her ears swivel towards Shiki, completely alert, like she's hoping that maybe Axel has been spotted somewhere.]
He's pretty tall, spiky red hair, green eyes. And he's got these marks underneath them, little black triangles.
no subject
I'm sorry, but I don't think I saw anyone like that... but that doesn't mean he's not around! He might've gotten here before or after me.
no subject
Thanks anyway. I'll probably be looking around for him a little longer anyway. [No sense in making such a long trip if she didn't stick around for a bit anyway. If Axel is here, or if he does show up, she's sure he wouldn't be hard to find.]
What about anyone with a long, black coat? It's got a hood too, and two zippers on it? Have you seen anyone wearing that?
no subject
Sorry, no... I definitely would've remembered if I saw anyone like that.
[The more unusual the outfit, the easier it would be for Shiki to recall someone, considering she was always checking out other people's clothing whenever she was out and about. Always looking for inspiration, no matter where she was or how terrible the situation was.]
Maybe I could help you look? I don't really have anywhere else to go...
no subject
(If Xion had the time, she'd wonder if the same thing might happen to them as it did to her group).]
There's some nice people here. Or there were when I first got here. I hope us changing hasn't ruined everything for you.
no subject
[She tilts her head a little, curious.]
Change? Is that why you're...?
[Shiki makes an antler shaped motion over her own head, hoping she wasn't being impolite.]
no subject
We ended up changing about a month or so after we arrived. When the fog rolls in, a lot of us look a lot worse too. I didn't use to have these, [She motions to her antlers and ears.] and my legs were normal too.
[Awkwardly, she scratches her arm. There's no marks there or anything, but she remembers her second stint in the fog when things started.]
If you need help finding a place to stay, I might be able to help, though. There's a really nice couple in the bakers shop not too far away, they might help you out for a bit in exchange for some chores here and there.
no subject
[Shiki's expression turns worried, hugging her arms across her chest.]
Is that gonna happen to me too...?
[Her voice comes out quieter than she intended, and she chews on her lip nervously. Xion looked cute and all, but Shiki wasn't too keen on the idea of changing herself again. Been there, done that, and the mythical creature edition wasn't on her bucket list. Especially if there were times when they looked worse... she had enough self consciousness issues as it were.]
Mm, do you know of any seamstresses or tailors in the town? I might be able to do well there, if they'll have me.
no subject
Again, I don't know. I don't even know what those are.
[Her clothes are clearly tailored to fit her, though. Meaning someone has altered her clothes for her.
She just doesn't know what they're called.]
no subject
[She smiles, pushing a lock of hair behind her ear nervously. Shiki sure hoped that wasn't the case...]
People that make clothes? Alter them so they fit you properly? That kind of stuff. I'm planning on doing that as a career once I'm old enough.
[A pause.]
Y'know, we've been talking this whole time and I don't even know you're name! I'm Shiki-- Shiki Misaki.
no subject
[Xion sticks out her hand to Shiki giving a small smile. Her hand is more like claws, and definitely sharp looking, so Xion wont take offense if she doesn't shake it or shows any hesitance.]
I'm Xion.
no subject
[Shiki smiles back, though she looks surprised for a moment as Xion offered her hand; hand shaking, huh? That was really western, was that thereabouts where she was? The clothing so far seemed very mid century european, so she wouldn't be too surprised about it. She offers her own hand though, being careful as she shakes her hand in case she got poked by anything. No use being rude!]
Nice to meet you, Xion. Thank you for talking with me, I was getting really frustrated and worried about this whole situation, especially with everyone ditching me so fast! I really appreciate it.
[She bows slightly in gratitude, looking back up with a warm expression.]
no subject
It's no problem. We sort of have to rely on each other here now, after all. There's another city that's far from here, though. It's a lot more populated too, and they seem to be more than happy to talk to those of us who came here.
[If they happened to have the right... parts, anyway. Her antlers and ears have her sticking out like a sore thumb anyway.]
This place might be a bit safer to stay in if you can't defend yourself, though.
no subject
[She shrugs a little, nonchalant, as if putting it to the past.]
Hey, this is probably a long shot, but is it possible anyone I would know would be here too? I didn't see anyone when I arrived, but considering just how weird and improbable it was for me to be able to wash up here to begin with, I wouldn't see why some of my friends couldn't have too. We were all heading to meet up together right before this, anyways.
no subject
[It's a small chance she might know them, considering how her and Roxas lived for awhile. Besides, they'd moved to Bavan too, which was a lot bigger than this town.
The odds are slim, but she won't mind helping if she knows.]
no subject
[She can hope, anyways.]
no subject
[As lucky as someone can be, having their friend turn into a monster.]
no subject
[Shiki immediately perks up, hands clenched against her chest as she grew hopeful at the prospect of seeing someone she knew, especially Neku.]
Do you know how I could find him?
no subject
no subject
[Though hearing that their were laptops in a town like this was just as weird as hearing people were changing into creatures...]
no subject
I'm not the only one who came here looking for friends though. Someone else might have one on them.

And I might ruin them every time the fog rolls in...
