TEST DRIVE MEME
TEST DRIVE MEME | ||
Welcome to Ryslig's test drive meme! If you're considering apping here, this is where you can try your characters out in the game's setting. A few things to note:
Sample scenarios: SCENARIO ONE: You've just been released from the hospital in Vandare and no one really seems to know what to do with you. The locals offer polite advice but don't seem to want to spend a lot of time with you. You and the other new arrivals stick out like sore thumbs, so perhaps one will spot you wandering about town. |
I STILL WIN
It was, perhaps, the one and only time in Zelgadis' life he'd be thankful he hadn't apologized right away. Well, he was going to, but he had been busy stumbling to stay on his feet upon impact to babble apologies.
Thank goodness for that; he'd almost apologized to the actual last person Zelgadis would think to apologize to in any situation, ever.
Well. Well maybe if he were sorry for not killing him fast enough. Or something.
Not exactly the best time to be thinking about it, really. Xelloss being there at all was the problem.
"Y-you!" he cried, bristling the very second he'd turned and realized who he'd not-apologized to.
/sobbing
The grin remained unwavering as Xelloss tilted his head to the side. "Why yes, it's me."
He proceeded to dust himself off, only half paying attention to Zelgadis as he did. It was a shame, he could practically taste the displeasure from the other man but couldn't actually taste it. Being a monster he was always hungry for negative emotions and the chimera had always been a good source but now he couldn't truly feel it. It almost made him sad. This place has stripped him of some of his greatest pleasures.
"Are you alone?"
no subject
"One way or the other, it'd be no business of yours," he snapped. It wasn't an exact yes or no, and that seemed better: Xelloss more often than not had the upper hand; like hell he'd be getting a freebie off of him this time!
"What the hell are you doing here, anyway? Another scheme?"
no subject
"Ooooh~? No matter." He waved it off with a shrug, if the others were around he'd probably find out before long.
The question caused his grin to return, wider than before and not so forced. He raised his hand to waggle a finger at Zelgadis. "You know that's a secret." Oh, Zel, when will you ever learn not to question him. The answer will always be the same unless he actually wanted to help.
no subject
Self-control and serenity, that's what Zel needed. Positivity to fight a monster. It was a damn shame Amelia wasn't around for support, but at the same time, he wasn't sure he'd want her to be in a place this shady.
He harrumphed loudly, making his annoyance clear (as if it wasn't already), and turned his back to the Mazoku, proceeding to stomp away without a word. Let him rot in his own business, Zelgadis thought, nodding to himself. I don't need to make this worse for myself!
no subject
That would be something new to deal with, positivity not hurting him as it did before. He wasn't sure if he could pretend to still be affected.
"Oh don't be like that, I thought we had a..." He paused, a what? He wouldn't call them friends except to rile up the ex-chimera some more. No, actually that sounded like a great idea. "A special friendship."
no subject
His head turned so he could glare over his shoulder, still in mid-step. "Is that what Mazoku call endless manipulation and aggravation? Friendship?"
no subject
The monster simply continues to smile that aggravating smile of his. "What else would we call it?"
no subject
"Should I even bother asking you about the others at this point?" he huffed, marching on. "No doubt you'll have nothing useful to say."
