TEST DRIVE MEME

Welcome to Ryslig's test drive meme! If you're considering apping here, this is where you can try your characters out in the game's setting. A few things to note: The State of the Game Discussion produced a lot of great suggestions and we now have a post for Plot Suggestions and Monster Questions. The NETWORK VOTE results are in and PRIVATE MESSAGING will be added some time in November. Lots of people have asked good questions on the FAQ, so do take a look. You can only app ONE character per round so choose wisely. Reserve and application dates have been announced. Test drive meme threads can be used for your roleplay sample! Sample scenarios: SCENARIO ONE: You've just been released from the hospital in Vandare and no one really seems to know what to do with you. The locals offer polite advice but don't seem to want to spend a lot of time with you. You and the other new arrivals stick out like sore thumbs, so perhaps one will spot you wandering about town. SCENARIO TWO: You've become hopelessly lost in Lager Woods. Paths don't seem to lead where you remember them leading, and you feel as if you're going around in circles. Childlike giggling can be heard from no direction in particular. Suddenly, you stumble upon another character, who seems to be just as lost as you! Perhaps you can find a way out together. SCENARIO THREE: The time has come and you've found yourself becoming a monster. Is the change instant, or gradual? Are you familiar enough with monsters to know what's happening, or is it a complete shock? NOTE: Feel free to pick any monster type for this prompt, but note that you may not get the same one in game.

Yeah. It's me.

[And it's just heartbreaking. Yu returns the hug in full, letting it linger as long as Teddie needs it. From outside, it has to look incredibly insane to behold; a giant Chimera creature and a werebear embracing deep in the forest.]

You're safe now. I'll take you to the rest of us who are here already.

[There's a tinge of hesitation when Teddie finally lets go, trying to let what he just said sink in. What could he possibly mean by that? Teddie could feel his heart sink at what he suspects is the worst, but there's really no way of knowing until he asks, is there?]

T-The rest?! Are you really saying everyone else is already here? As...

[No no no no no no. Teddie was already somewhat of a monster, he could handle this. It was probably bound to happen anyway. But his friends...they had families and friends and jobs and school, they didn't deserve this.]

There's me, Kanji, Naoto and Yukiko. [So with him, that made five total. Still three missing. He leaves a hand on his friend's elbow.]

It's okay, Teddie. I know it's not the best place to be but...we're going to figure this all out together.

[That's four too many, Teddie didn't even realize he was missing so many friends to begin with. If he didn't feel terrible before, he feels awful now. What kind of friend lets his friends disappear before his eyes and go to a terrible...monster dimension?]

D-Don't worry, Sensei! I'll help you as hard as pawssible! I won't rest until you guys are back to normal, you can count on Teddie!

[This is a large bear-like creature crying like a small child. He is literally the worst monster.]

[He silently tries to calm the bear down with a few pats on his shoulders, but it's hard to do so. Yu needs to be the leader in this case, so he speaks again.]

Glad to count on you. We'll all be working together to figure it out. I know we will.

[He smiles back at him. Even if they were in a dire situation, Yu Narukami would never give up.]
