Welcome to Ryslig's test drive meme! If you're considering apping here, this is where you can try your characters out in the game's setting. A few things to note: The State of the Game Discussion produced a lot of great suggestions and we now have a post for Plot Suggestions and Monster Questions. The NETWORK VOTE results are in and PRIVATE MESSAGING will be added some time in November. Lots of people have asked good questions on the FAQ, so do take a look. You can only app ONE character per round so choose wisely. Reserve and application dates have been announced. Test drive meme threads can be used for your roleplay sample! Sample scenarios: SCENARIO ONE: You've just been released from the hospital in Vandare and no one really seems to know what to do with you. The locals offer polite advice but don't seem to want to spend a lot of time with you. You and the other new arrivals stick out like sore thumbs, so perhaps one will spot you wandering about town. SCENARIO TWO: You've become hopelessly lost in Lager Woods. Paths don't seem to lead where you remember them leading, and you feel as if you're going around in circles. Childlike giggling can be heard from no direction in particular. Suddenly, you stumble upon another character, who seems to be just as lost as you! Perhaps you can find a way out together. SCENARIO THREE: The time has come and you've found yourself becoming a monster. Is the change instant, or gradual? Are you familiar enough with monsters to know what's happening, or is it a complete shock? NOTE: Feel free to pick any monster type for this prompt, but note that you may not get the same one in game.

[Lindsey stares at him] I'm not shy!

[He just, raises a hand] Just hideously ugly and large and getting larger. You didn't rush over to give me a hug. [He frowns, before ] ....Good at shopping huh?

[Teddie pauses for a second.]

Do...do you wanna hug?

[He doesn't normally hug guys on the spot, but considering the circumstances, he supposes he could make an exception. He can't even bring himself to answer the actual question, he's already forgotten he's a pro at something something shopping.]

[Lindsey just stares at him]

...Not huggable.

[And by way of demonstrating he curls a hand into a fist and hits the ground. It leaves a sizable dent.]

...How come you're wanting to hug? ARen't you teddy bears out in the woods by now? hunting?

[As weird as it might be to see a bear jump back in shock, that's exactly what Teddie finds himself doing. He's a terrible monster and has absolutely no shame in it.]

H-How the heck do you know my name?!

[He also has no shame when it comes to misunderstanding jokes.]

[There's a long pause]

your name's teddy bear?

[Lindsey's face is perfect for confusion. Absolutely perfect.]

Well, duh! My name is Teddie and I am a bear.

[He even gestures to himself. See? All bear.]

Although this is kinda...new for me.

[There's a pause before Lindsey rubs at his head, a bit more horn emerging as he scratches it with his finger nails before nodding.]

Bear metaphorically.

I was talking about the rest of the other people who turned into bears.

[If this were anyone else, someone normal, that bit of news probably wouldn't have gotten as big as a reaction that Teddie gives.]

Y-You mean there's more?

[Teddie's never really connected with other bears before, possibly because he's not actually a bear. But still! It's exciting! He wants to know more! So much so that he's totally forgotten about the horrible situation he's in.]

Think so. I saw them run by. Running down a deer.

[Lindsey's features also do hungry well and they do that now, his lower lip slouching a little further.]

You're not alone. Don't worry.

[Aw, they play with deer. These sound like his kind of people.]

...Thanks, you've been super helpful, even if it's just 'cause I came over after you broke your guitar.

So... you know my name, what am I gonna call you?

[Lindsey blinks at him] ... Lindsey.

My name was Lindsey.

is. Lindsey is. It is Lindsey. [This is the most human he's felt in forever. standing up straight he looks back.] ...you're hunting?
