TEST DRIVE MEME
TEST DRIVE MEME | ||
Welcome to Ryslig's test drive meme! If you're considering apping here, this is where you can try your characters out in the game's setting. A few things to note:
Sample scenarios: SCENARIO ONE: You've just been released from the hospital in Vandare and no one really seems to know what to do with you. The locals offer polite advice but don't seem to want to spend a lot of time with you. You and the other new arrivals stick out like sore thumbs, so perhaps one will spot you wandering about town. |

(This is ignoring the small, subtle things she's noticed as of late, like an aversion to sunlight.)
The only people willing to approach her were others in the same situation. Given the nature of the rumors she'd heard back in the city, it wasn't impossible to put two and two together, even if she isn't entirely sure of her guess. His confusion makes her frown slightly. It is possible she might have been too hasty. ]
You... are one of the ones who woke up here, are you not?

Yeah. [(His hair probably made that pretty obvious, lbr.)] You too? ...But you look like you haven't changed at all.

[ But that also means these symptoms won't be so easily dismissible-- Homura had been attributing those disproportionate flashes of insult and defensiveness over what's hers to simply stress, or something of the sort, causing her to not keep as tight a hold on her thoughts and emotions (and so every time only resolved to control herself better), but now she looks back on each incident with a more critical eye. Maybe the fault didn't lay with her, but... no, it all has to do with her control in the end, regardless of the cause.
(Homura wouldn't know it herself, nor would Roxas, but her eye colour has lightened several shades since the fog first came in.) ]
...I wasn't expecting it to be so drastic, myself. Are there worse aspects of the transformation besides just the physical?
[ you know, anything like an uncontrollable desire to curse the world or something like that. ]

...Except. He winces slightly at her last question, his chin ducking down towards his collarbone. Does he have to tell her about that? How maybe you don't turn into some mustache-twirling villain bent on world domination, but that there are some changes in your psyche that can make you forget everything, even who you are, for your hunger? That, if you stay here long enough, you might end up killing someone? That no matter how many bones of the fish from Vandare's port you pick clean, nothing will sate your appetite until-
He keeps doing this, and he really has to stop. When he looks back at Homura, he seems sad. If she were transforming, with blood and bones and all, suppressing his hunger would have been harder. Roxas doesn't want to kill. And he won't kill her.]
The transformation's different for almost everybody. [Which is true.] And we've got a lot of ways of dealing with what's happening. But it always gets worse with the fog. Sometimes it hits and nothing happens, but not usually. ...People can lose themselves when it gets bad.
