Welcome to Ryslig's test drive meme! If you're considering apping here, this is where you can try your characters out in the game's setting. A few things to note: The State of the Game Discussion produced a lot of great suggestions and we now have a post for Plot Suggestions and Monster Questions. The NETWORK VOTE results are in and PRIVATE MESSAGING will be added some time in November. Lots of people have asked good questions on the FAQ, so do take a look. You can only app ONE character per round so choose wisely. Reserve and application dates have been announced. Test drive meme threads can be used for your roleplay sample! Sample scenarios: SCENARIO ONE: You've just been released from the hospital in Vandare and no one really seems to know what to do with you. The locals offer polite advice but don't seem to want to spend a lot of time with you. You and the other new arrivals stick out like sore thumbs, so perhaps one will spot you wandering about town. SCENARIO TWO: You've become hopelessly lost in Lager Woods. Paths don't seem to lead where you remember them leading, and you feel as if you're going around in circles. Childlike giggling can be heard from no direction in particular. Suddenly, you stumble upon another character, who seems to be just as lost as you! Perhaps you can find a way out together. SCENARIO THREE: The time has come and you've found yourself becoming a monster. Is the change instant, or gradual? Are you familiar enough with monsters to know what's happening, or is it a complete shock? NOTE: Feel free to pick any monster type for this prompt, but note that you may not get the same one in game.

It sounds like she's the life of the party!

[Rise giggles a bit, just imagining it, but soon shakes it off. Although it's good to relax to release the stress, doing it too much would cause it to build up again. And we don't want that.]

Hmm. . . let's check around back first, Dipper-kun; she might not have gone out the normal way.

[pinevestigator]

Yeah she...she really is.

[He smiles a little himself, feeling some of his own apprehension ebb away. He won't feel totally better until he finds her, though.]

You think she was in the hospital too, then? ...I don't...remember anything happening to us that could've gotten us hurt...

[risetting]

Ooh, if that's the case, then I really should meet her! We can totally exchange party tips.

[She says this so genuinely that she almost forgets what they're doing, though she immediately snaps herself back into being serious with no problems.]

Maybe. I don't remember getting hurt either, myself, but I was in that hospital, and there were some strange scars on my body that I don't remember getting, too.

[pinevestigator]

[...Yeah, if Mabel is here, she and this girl would get along just fine.]

Same here. Nobody will really talk to me about it either...so I guess it's not really all that serious, or they wouldn't have let me leave.

[risetting]

. . . Yeah, it seems like everyone in this place just likes ignoring everyone who comes from that hospital. It better not be haunted, or something like that. Haunted hospitals are kind of-- [She visibly shivers, hugging her shoulders tightly.] Well, let's not think about that. I'm sure that it's not haunted! Definitely!

[Her pep talk is so convincing that she's even reassuring herself, honestly...]

Yeah....definitely.

[Dipper shakes his head a little, trying to not think about that too hard.]

Well if Mabel is here, she's probably looking for me too. She'll probably find me before I find her, now that I think about it...

[risetting]

I'm sure she'd be looking for you if she's here. After all, it looks like she cares about you as much as you care about her. That's why... you've got to believe that you'll find each other again.

[Her voice is tense, serious, but she soon winks at him, looking rather cheeky as she smiles.]

Right?

[pinevestigator]

Yeah...right.

[You sure have a lot more confidence in this situation than he does, Rise.]

I just want to make sure she's alright, that's all.

[risetting]

Don't worry!

[Even if she has confidence, a lot of it is sheer acting ability; it's something that she's good at. But it's not as if it's coming out of nowhere, though. She wants to believe in herself again.]

I'm sure this is something even I can handle.

[Yeah.

She totally went there. She totally used the line from her commercial.]

But if she's not around here, she might have left the hospital area... But let's check here first.

[pinevestigator]

[Dipper nods in agreement.]

Yeah, we don't really have anything to lose by looking...and the sooner I can find her, the better.
