TEST DRIVE MEME
TEST DRIVE MEME | ||
Welcome to Ryslig's test drive meme! If you're considering apping here, this is where you can try your characters out in the game's setting. A few things to note:
Sample scenarios: SCENARIO ONE: You've just been released from the hospital in Vandare and no one really seems to know what to do with you. The locals offer polite advice but don't seem to want to spend a lot of time with you. You and the other new arrivals stick out like sore thumbs, so perhaps one will spot you wandering about town. |

Ha - yes, perfectly so. [Soft, quick, but with certain heart.] Perfectly.
Don't mind me too much. I'm simply... [Rising a bit - not in volume, just inflection and air quality, in a way as if he's repeating an in-joke.] Getting acquainted with - very new surroundings!
And I'm assuming you're doing the same. [Another size up - well, what a nice coat you have, sir, how damp does it look...?] Of course, I can't possibly to claim that they are "very" new for anyone but myself.
[The story may have been that several of them were mysteriously fished out of the bay, but while he certainly wasn't, that doesn't necessarily mean that no one that was supposedly the case for actually comes from whatever land this is, or somewhere more like it - this is one still-living entirely different world already.]

[He gave a weak smile - maybe a fragile one, but there.] Good to hear; I'd rather not have random injuries for a first impression.
[Oh, it's damp all right - it's not easy to get seawater out of quilted wool.] You've never seen this place before either, then?

And oh, no, I haven't -- [A wandering look up and down and around one side of the street.] -- don't think I've heard or read the name anywhere, either. It's certainly far from home.
[And not just geographically - in the most basic physical sense, it doesn't look so different from the city he used to live in, scaled down perspectivally to his change in size, but on that note...]
Haven't seen a city quite like this at all, in fact... And you? [Docilely entreating bounce to it. Let's get to know your story, o first stranger he's getting to talk to!]

Never heard of this place before either. [It's way more unbothered than it should be, almost content in the idea of being utterly lost...]
[Although now that he gets a better look around at the skyline again...] ...The cities on my world are all stone and wood - nothing like this at all.
