Oliver and Jade

He adores Jade. She's a sweet kid who cares about everyone and he wishes there were a lot more he could do to shield her from how terrible Ryslig is. He feels guilty for cutting a successful deal with Mana while Jade's still stuck as a shade, but staying one was just too difficult for him. He knows it's tough on her, but he's impressed by just how well she handles it though is upset she has to.

He's consistently flawed by just how caring she is even when it's stuff that must be hard on her. He's surprised she replied to his post about faerie rings at all after what happened to her, let alone to help him. It does concern him how generous she is sometimes. She's still a teenager even if she doesn't get much opportunity to really be one and he feels as though it would be way too easy for people to take advantage of her. Especially after finding out how she died.

New monster!

He loves his new monster. If he'd got it when he first arrived I don't think he'd have been that thrilled, but after being a monster that played up so many of his insecurities and left him feeling so disconnected from the world anything he doesn't like seems trivial. He avoids shrinking like the plague because that hurts and added speed isn't worth that, but it's not like that's something he has to do.

There are some minor things that bug him, like naturally green hair and how sensitive his antennae are, but it's not like most people are touching his head on a regular basis and hair dye works for him. It's just his eyelashes he can't do much about. He can deal with his body/facial hair being grey. His wings being relatively delicate and always in the way is a much bigger problem, but even then it's something he prefers over not even being tangible in the first place.

There are actually a couple of things he misses which surprised him. Telekinesis he'd become reliant enough on he had a hard time not instinctively going to use it at first. Even now he has a couple of moments where he has to catch himself. Picking stuff up with his many hands just isn't as cool.
