[It's unfortunate that he can no longer be in the sun. He misses the warmth and the light. All those things that you don't think too hard about because they're always there. You really do learn to appreciate things once their gone. Though he's already had a harsh lesson in this before, he didn't need it again.
He can hack away all the monster parts to try and appear normal but there are some things he can't fix.
But there are some things that don't need to be... There are some slight benefits.
His Goblin abilities allow him to see exceptionally well in the darkness. And low and behold, there was someone along the beach. A very strange occurrence. The living are rare along the coast as his roommate Katsuie has long since removed them. Every now and then stragglers roll in.
He's perched himself on the dock but he removes himself to meet this little mystery girl on the shore. It seems one of his cats has spooked her. They go out at night with him and attempt to catch fish or some other tasty treat that might wash up upon the shore.
She's rather fortunate, he looks normal and dresses nice. He's suffered greatly to appear as normal as possible. Bandaged hands (and other bits) were a small price to pay in his attempt to have a quiet peaceful life. You could say she's lucky, but she's about to run into him.]
It's just me. [He calls out and raises a hand to her, so not to cause further alarm.] And the cats. They're all friendly so there's nothing to be afraid of. We're all just a bit surprised. We don't see many come up the shoreline.
