Sample scenarios:
SCENARIO ONE: So you've just arrived, and already SOME the natives are trying to get on your good side. Offers of food, shelter and other luxuries in return for hoping you don't eat them. They even have some helpful pamphlets to share with you. "How To Deal With Changes", "Alternatives to Human Flesh", "What to Expect When You're Expecting (to turn into a monster)" are all great pamphlets. There's even some detailing certain monsters, and the changes they go through. Some of these seem to have been passed down from one monster to the next.
Among these however, are some... not so helpful ones. "Bunnyipyips And You", "Axe Thief Axehounds," and "So you're becoming a Fur Bearing Trout" among others. Sometimes they have marks on them from previous people who had them saying they are lies, or pointing out good "jokes."
Then there's the people who aren't happy to see you at all. Glares and silent, judging stares if you're lucky. Torches and pitchforks attempting to drive you out of the town if you're not. You may need a friend to help you.
SCENARIO TWO: You've become hopelessly lost in Lager Woods. Paths don't seem to lead where you remember them leading, and you feel as if you're going around in circles. Childlike giggling can be heard from no direction in particular. Suddenly, you stumble upon another character, who seems to be just as lost as you! Perhaps you can find a way out together. Or maybe they want you for lunch...
SCENARIO THREE: The time has come and you've found yourself becoming a monster. Is the change instant, or gradual? Are you familiar enough with monsters to know what's happening, or is it a complete shock? NOTE: Feel free to pick any monster type for this prompt, but note that you may not get the same one in game.
SCENARIO FOUR: The claws, the fangs, the pangs of hunger - horrible as they all are, it's manageable given enough time and perseverance. Local monster hunters, though, not so much.
Maybe it started with a few wayward glances on the outskirts of town, critical stares and disapproving whispers, or just the misfortune of being in the wrong place at the wrong time. Whatever it was, deserved or entirely unprovoked, you're being hunted: a handful of aggressive, well-armed humans doggedly chase your trail throughout city streets and out into the open, and if you're not careful (if you don't find help soon) you might wind up as the next trophy kill claim on one of those hunter's walls.

Yeah, something like that. It happens a little at a time, usually. It took about a month and then my antennae grew. My eyes changed color and my fingernails started to grow a while after that. And I can do... magic. That's a thing that showed up in there, too.
no subject
So we're brought here, changed and given magic powers. Whatever for? [Somehow she feels there is a larger downside that isn't being spoken of, other than their transportation to this place.]
no subject
[The last word lands significantly but it seems like a bit much to explain right now. Instead, she pulls a water bottle from her bag and holds it out to Jessica.]
Do you want some water? Revelations like this can really take it out of you.
no subject
[She takes the offered bottle and takes a sip from it. ]
I thank you. I guess being the victim of magic makes you thirsty. [She gives a congenial smile]
no subject
Have as much as you need! I mostly carry it for other people, anyhow. You never know when a bit of water could save a situation. I ran into somebody who was developing fire breath and having a drink of water gave her enough control not to start a forest fire.
[She laughs a little nervously, mostly because she knows where the conversation is about to go because she can only ignore the question for so long.]
Another great side effect of being a victim of magic is that it changes your tastes a bit. Namely, it makes you a bit of a cannibal.
no subject
She has noted that her first question was ignored and is about to say something when the young woman continues. However because she is still trying to make sense of it all she almost misses the best part.]
Well of course, I imagine tastes and other things would change given all of the other transfo- [Her eyes widen in both surprise and a touch of horror.] Did you say cannibal?
no subject
[And for half a second she thinks Jessica will breeze right by the meatiest part of that statement, but no such luck.]
Yeah, unfortunately. I'm sorry. There's not really a way around it either. Believe me, I've tried. But if you don't do it of your own will, you lose control of yourself and you do a lot more damage.
no subject
But- but...how? There are clearly people here and they don't appear to run at the mere sight of you.
[A touch of hesitation.] Unless only some of us turn and the rest are used for...[She doesn't finish and is trying to figure out the best way to escape. She can't out run her, her best hope is a distraction. She drops the water bottle in a seemingly clumsy movement. If Tayler goes for it, Jessica jut might get the head start she needs.]
no subject
Mrs Fletcher, are you all right?
[She reaches for her gently because she can't quite tell if she's just panicking or if she is going to fall off the bench.]
no subject
Yes. Well, no. No - how am I supposed to accept that I've been brought to this place against my will, having no knowledge of where it is, and accept the fact that I'm either going to turn into a monster and eat people or be eaten myself?!
[Strategy is gone, all that is left is incredulousness and righteous anger.]
no subject
I know, it's a lot and it's horrible and it's really hard to get your head around. Believe me, I actually threw up when I found out. I wish I had something better tell you, I really do.
no subject
Her next words are weak, she's running out of straws to grasp at.]
Is there any way out of here? Anyone to protest all of this to?
no subject
I wish there was. But since we have no control of the changes and if we try to hunger strike we lose all control of ourselves, it's hard to stage any kind of civil unrest. But we're doing what we can. We're trying to learn more about the creatures that call themselves gods who claim to have brought us here. It's hard, but it's all we can do.
no subject
Gods. And just who are these gods?
no subject
It's a bit like... when a dog gets rabies. Normally sweet, well behaved house pet and then his brain goes to jelly and he gets vicious, bites and kills anything he can get his teeth into. It's like that. Not pretty.
[Her tone as she finishes is genuinely nauseated and perhaps Jessica can hear in her voice or see in the faraway look in her eyes that she's seen this first hand, been on the scene for the breakdown of consciousness of another person.]
It's hard to say really who or what they are, but there are a handful of them, two or three or four depending on the day, and nobody can really see them except maybe their acolytes and I haven't been daring enough yet to pretend to drink the koolaid to get behind enemy lines because I think they have some kind of mind control and I'm not about to go in until I'm sure I can come back out, right? But from what I can tell, they've got some serious magic, too, and the locals worship them as actual gods, as in part of their religion. Not that that means I think they're immortal or anything. Though I guess that's not impossible, we're kind of immortal now, too, in a way.
no subject
We can't even agree on the number of "gods" here? [This is getting foolish.]
Immortal? Us? And why don't you think the so called gods here are immortal? [Perhaps there is information that can be used here, somehow.]
