- The Reserve date is MAY 20ST 12:01AM EST.
- There is an Enable Me / App this Plz to see what some people are offering or would love to play.
- Test drive meme threads can be used for your roleplay sample!

Sample scenarios:
SCENARIO ONE: So you've just arrived, and already SOME the natives are trying to get on your good side. Offers of food, shelter and other luxuries in return for hoping you don't eat them. They even have some helpful pamphlets to share with you. "How To Deal With Changes", "Alternatives to Human Flesh", "What to Expect When You're Expecting (to turn into a monster)" are all great pamphlets. There's even some detailing certain monsters, and the changes they go through. Some of these seem to have been passed down from one monster to the next.
Among these however, are some... not so helpful ones. "Bunnyipyips And You", "Axe Thief Axehounds," and "So you're becoming a Fur Bearing Trout" among others. Sometimes they have marks on them from previous people who had them saying they are lies, or pointing out good "jokes."
Then there's the people who aren't happy to see you at all. Glares and silent, judging stares if you're lucky. Torches and pitchforks attempting to drive you out of the town if you're not. You may need a friend to help you.
SCENARIO TWO: You've become hopelessly lost in Lager Woods. Paths don't seem to lead where you remember them leading, and you feel as if you're going around in circles. Childlike giggling can be heard from no direction in particular. Suddenly, you stumble upon another character, who seems to be just as lost as you! Perhaps you can find a way out together. Or maybe they want you for lunch...
SCENARIO THREE: The time has come and you've found yourself becoming a monster. Is the change instant, or gradual? Are you familiar enough with monsters to know what's happening, or is it a complete shock? NOTE: Feel free to pick any monster type for this prompt, but note that you may not get the same one in game.
SCENARIO FOUR: The claws, the fangs, the pangs of hunger - horrible as they all are, it's manageable given enough time and perseverance. Local monster hunters, though, not so much.
Maybe it started with a few wayward glances on the outskirts of town, critical stares and disapproving whispers, or just the misfortune of being in the wrong place at the wrong time. Whatever it was, deserved or entirely unprovoked, you're being hunted: a handful of aggressive, well-armed humans doggedly chase your trail throughout city streets and out into the open, and if you're not careful (if you don't find help soon) you might wind up as the next trophy kill claim on one of those hunter's walls.

This isn't stopping him from trying though - up until some hooded little thing shuffles up and speaks up suddenly, and Ryuk swivels bit by bit to actually look at who addressed him.
Hey he knows that voice! It's a dead guy!]
Yeah, that's right.
[For his efforts, or perhaps just for existing, or maybe for being dressed like that when for all Ryuk knows it's a nice warm day out, L gets a snaggle-toothed grin.]
If you're counting new people, there's a whole lot of us over that way.
[One bony finger rises to point in the vaguest direction of what looks awfully like a pastry shop. There are indeed lots of new faces over there.]
Hey, why are you dressed like that? It's nice out!

Just because his death hasn't occurred in his home world, however, doesn't mean it hasn't left him cold with a stillness in his chest cavity in Ryslig. Being a vampire means being undead, and the cloaked and covered figure standing before Ryuk is very much deceased even though he's still walking and speaking like a living person. L has always had a way of making such things appear as odd pantomime, but it's truer now than ever.
He stares unblinking at the shinigami turned something like human, gaze snapping only briefly to the crowd he indicates before returning firmly to Ryuk.]
I've counted, and I'm sure I'll speak with them another time. As for this moment, however, I am speaking with you.
[It's his stiff, cordial way of saying that he's not going to be shaken off so easily. The pastry shop, likewise, gets little interest; L stopped being able to taste sweet things long ago.]
It's because I'm a vampire and the sun and I do not get along. Where you're from, what is it like? Are there many others who look like you, or at least share the name of your species?
[L is all too happy to turn this into twenty questions.]

[There's none of the convoluted mental gymnastics and effort needed when dealing with Ryuk; others might be a challenge to the intellect, but for all his outlandish appearance, the spindly being seems fairly average. An easy target to get information out of.
Except he's never had a good solid shot at talking to L before and he too is curious. And the obvious is always appearance. 'Vampire' huh. That would explain the paleness (and Ryuk rather approved of that particular shade of warmed over death), and he supposed all the clothing. But what would happen if exposed to sunlight?]
So would you like... burst into flames or turn to dust?
[That sure is sudden keen interest, but he's making no move whatsoever to actually find out for himself by trying to yank off those protective clothes. That was a bit more involved than he really preferred getting.]
Huh, back there? [He rubs his chin slowly, expression thoughtful. He's getting better at these human gestures!] Dusty. Boring. Full of dull uninteresting things. No, yes.
[That should cover it all!]
This place is far more interesting. Can you handle crucifixes and garlic?
no subject
[It's mercifully simple, and a pretty easy and plausible explanation at that. Though L grows bored and restless fairly easily, he's found that in situations like this, when he's offered a simple solution, it's better to take it rather than weaving something more complex and exciting at the risk of catastrophic failure. More or less, he is conducting a survey, anyway; just an ongoing and highly detailed one.
At Ryuk's curiosity, the arm's length of distance that L has carefully maintained since the conversation started is probably a hair more noticeable. Though his approaches are bold, his mannerisms can be vaguely skittish, as though he is hyper-aware of the potential for others to attempt to reach out and hurt him.]
It would be very painful, and I would burn. I've always been relatively indifferent to both of those things, and that has not changed so far.
[The answers are clipped, short, to-the-point. He doesn't elaborate. He doesn't want this being to see it as a challenge or a point of intrigue; he would far prefer to move on before any temptation to snatch away his hood and umbrella does strike.]
Many new arrivals are confused. Distraught, even. You are uncommonly relaxed about this.

Guess that's a good reason for the weird getup.
[As if gothic fetishwear wasn't weird or something, but maybe where he's from feathers bones and skulls are perfectly ordinary decorations! It's probably a good thing crosses and garlic aren't a problem. Religion wasn't huge as far as he knew but anyone could have one, and garlic was just everywhere.]
Huh yeah, I guess. It's not very scary to turn into a human, and there's lots of new interesting things to watch. Probably for you guys turning into something else is something to freak out about, and killing's some horrible thing but when you're not human to start with it doesn't matter. Don't like walking everywhere though. So far that's it.
[Shrug. Cannibalism sounded a little odd but he'd give it a go, and killing? He literally lived for that.]
no subject
He quirks one of his hairless brows at the "weird getup" comment, gaze lingering on Ryuk and squinting slightly. He knows for a fact that he hasn't seen the man before, but the way the former-Shinigami looks at him makes him wonder if that's mutual.]
That name, that the other members of your species who do not look like you share? What is it? Now that you've mentioned that killing doesn't matter to you, I'm admittedly very curious.
no subject
[Ryuk pointedly looks around - at all the humans who look rather different from one another. Some round, some not, some different colors than others..]
You used to everyone being identical? Clones or something?
[He WILL get around to the other part but first things first. Did L just see the entirety of the world differently than he did? Humans didn't exactly blend in to one another like apples in a basket or something. Was there something he'd missed for his entire life?]
no subject
Don't be dense. If you're playing at it, stop now. Everyone looks different, but it's in the details. There are commonalities most humans share. Skeletons all look the same. You're wearing enough representations of them, you should know that very well.
[A cursory glance at Ryuk's clothes before his dark eyes flick back to the pale, grinning face.]
Did you forget my question already? I dislike repeating myself, but I can make an exception in this case.
no subject
You want answers from me, you better be nicer about it. I'm not getting anything out of this but a headache right now. You humans think everything revolves around you and what you want. It doesn't work that way.
[And he wasn't obliged to hang around either, L did not have the death note. Would he?
... Probably not. But it wasn't an impossibility.]
no subject
I'm not a human.
[He says so like someone who never thought of himself as such, even though a Death Note could and did kill him in the end.]
Isn't that how it works? I can't say I've ever seen evidence to suggest otherwise.
