Sample scenarios:
SCENARIO ONE: So you've just arrived, and already SOME the natives are trying to get on your good side. Offers of food, shelter and other luxuries in return for hoping you don't eat them. They even have some helpful pamphlets to share with you. "How To Deal With Changes", "Alternatives to Human Flesh", "What to Expect When You're Expecting (to turn into a monster)" are all great pamphlets. There's even some detailing certain monsters, and the changes they go through. Some of these seem to have been passed down from one monster to the next.
Among these however, are some... not so helpful ones. "Bunnyipyips And You", "Axe Thief Axehounds," and "So you're becoming a Fur Bearing Trout" among others. Sometimes they have marks on them from previous people who had them saying they are lies, or pointing out good "jokes."
Then there's the people who aren't happy to see you at all. Glares and silent, judging stares if you're lucky. Torches and pitchforks attempting to drive you out of the town if you're not. You may need a friend to help you.
SCENARIO TWO: You've become hopelessly lost in Lager Woods. Paths don't seem to lead where you remember them leading, and you feel as if you're going around in circles. Childlike giggling can be heard from no direction in particular. Suddenly, you stumble upon another character, who seems to be just as lost as you! Perhaps you can find a way out together. Or maybe they want you for lunch...
SCENARIO THREE: The time has come and you've found yourself becoming a monster. Is the change instant, or gradual? Are you familiar enough with monsters to know what's happening, or is it a complete shock? NOTE: Feel free to pick any monster type for this prompt, but note that you may not get the same one in game.
SCENARIO FOUR: The claws, the fangs, the pangs of hunger - horrible as they all are, it's manageable given enough time and perseverance. Local monster hunters, though, not so much.
Maybe it started with a few wayward glances on the outskirts of town, critical stares and disapproving whispers, or just the misfortune of being in the wrong place at the wrong time. Whatever it was, deserved or entirely unprovoked, you're being hunted: a handful of aggressive, well-armed humans doggedly chase your trail throughout city streets and out into the open, and if you're not careful (if you don't find help soon) you might wind up as the next trophy kill claim on one of those hunter's walls.

The damage is worrying, but Laurent is right, his wing took the worst of it. Damen bends over slightly to press a gentle kiss to his temple before he starts to wrap the worst of the bullet wounds.] I'm sorry, that I did not catch up sooner. I'm going to wrap these to slow the bleeding, and then we'll get you to a physician.
no subject
How did you know? How did you find me? [ He let himself lean against the other's bulk, body tense as the other began to wind the fabric around his bloodied limb. ]

The muscle of his tail shifts a little under Laurent's hands, just a little flex that speaks of enjoying the touch. Damen focuses on wrapping his wing in strips of white cotton. The projectiles were not large, so perhaps he will heal quickly.]
I... It is difficult to explain. [His brow creases.] I could taste your scent in the air. And the scent of blood. Then, well. They were not exactly quiet hunters.

He continued to stroke his fingers softly over the other's scales, a soothing motion for them both. It gave Laurent something else to focus on, other than the ache in his wing as Damen bandaged the wounds. There were small pieces of buckshot still embedded in amongst his feathers, but these would have to be removed somewhere more sterile. ]
Should I worry about the fact you can taste my scents? That you know the smell and flavour of my blood? [ He teased, drawing a soft circle over a particularly enticing pattern on the other's scales. ]

His wing will need more attention, but Damen is no physician - he doesn't want to make things worse. This will at least stop or slow the bleeding and true to his word, he'll bring Laurent to a real doctor. He ties off another bandage, the feeling of fingers tracing his scales only mildly distracting.]
I wish I didn't know the smell of your blood. [He ducks his head, presses a kiss to the side of his mouth.] But your taste, your smell. Those I know well.

Are you going to simply wrap the whole thing? We should leave. I can manage with this, at least until we are able to find more suitable help.
[ He turned his head, pressing his lips delicately against Damen's own, before drawing to attempt to stand, getting his taloned feet underneath himself, his good wing tucking automatically to his back. One of his hands pressed against the coil of the other's body, a gentle urging for the other to move some of his shielding bulk from Laurent's way, so that he could start to walk. ]

[He returns that kiss, just a soft press of mouths, not reacting as Laurent presses hands against his coils. He doesn't move, except to scoop Laurent up into his arms with his injured wing out, so as not to press against Damen's bare chest. He seems so light, impossibly so.] Let me take you. You shouldn't be walking like this, I don't know how much blood you've lost. [Besides, it would be faster. Damen is uninjured, and steady on his tail.]
no subject
I have lost enough for one night, I'm sure of that. With rest, I'll be fine.
no subject
His smile turns a little bittersweet now, shifting so that Laurent is cradled more comfortably against his chest, and then he starts down the street again, his scales whisper-quiet on the cobbles. Moving like this, like a snake slithering over the ground, had taken considerable effort, but Damianos had forced himself to learn.] I think we have both lost enough blood for a lifetime between us. A physician first, and then rest.
