- Ryslig's FAQ is located here, so please take a look if you have questions.
- The Reserve date is MAY 20ST 12:01AM EST.
- There is an Enable Me / App this Plz to see what some people are offering or would love to play.
- Test drive meme threads can be used for your roleplay sample!
- Players with characters already in the game can earn up to a maximum of 6 coins by replying to potential character threads! You cannot use this to go over the bonus 20 coins per month total, but you can use it to reach that coin total. Same rules as normal bonuses apply.
Sample scenarios:
SCENARIO ONE: So you've just arrived, and already SOME the natives are trying to get on your good side. Offers of food, shelter and other luxuries in return for hoping you don't eat them. They even have some helpful pamphlets to share with you. "How To Deal With Changes", "Alternatives to Human Flesh", "What to Expect When You're Expecting (to turn into a monster)" are all great pamphlets. There's even some detailing certain monsters, and the changes they go through. Some of these seem to have been passed down from one monster to the next.
Among these however, are some... not so helpful ones. "Bunnyipyips And You", "Axe Thief Axehounds," and "So you're becoming a Fur Bearing Trout" among others. Sometimes they have marks on them from previous people who had them saying they are lies, or pointing out good "jokes."
Then there's the people who aren't happy to see you at all. Glares and silent, judging stares if you're lucky. Torches and pitchforks attempting to drive you out of the town if you're not. You may need a friend to help you.
SCENARIO TWO: You've become hopelessly lost in Lager Woods. Paths don't seem to lead where you remember them leading, and you feel as if you're going around in circles. Childlike giggling can be heard from no direction in particular. Suddenly, you stumble upon another character, who seems to be just as lost as you! Perhaps you can find a way out together. Or maybe they want you for lunch...
SCENARIO THREE: The time has come and you've found yourself becoming a monster. Is the change instant, or gradual? Are you familiar enough with monsters to know what's happening, or is it a complete shock? NOTE: Feel free to pick any monster type for this prompt, but note that you may not get the same one in game.
SCENARIO FOUR: The claws, the fangs, the pangs of hunger - horrible as they all are, it's manageable given enough time and perseverance. Local monster hunters, though, not so much.
Maybe it started with a few wayward glances on the outskirts of town, critical stares and disapproving whispers, or just the misfortune of being in the wrong place at the wrong time. Whatever it was, deserved or entirely unprovoked, you're being hunted: a handful of aggressive, well-armed humans doggedly chase your trail throughout city streets and out into the open, and if you're not careful (if you don't find help soon) you might wind up as the next trophy kill claim on one of those hunter's walls.
no subject
Though, he's going to get close enough to the hunters to snatch one of their cross-bows before scampering away like the coward he is, settling on a building near Yuya to hide behind until the coast was entirely clear.]
no subject
So, a few minutes later, Yuya emerges with a good armful of weapons and is a little surprised to see Osomatsu still here.]
Ah- you okay? They're going to wake up once I'm out of earshot...
[He's hoping they'll go home after this, but you never know. Hunters are pretty crazy.]
no subject
Luckily though, Yuya's asking him if he's okay and not as threatening as one would expect a half-snake man to be, so he lowers the bow with a small, relieved sigh and nods.]
Y-yeah I'm okay... one of them got me good with his stupid knife though.
[He brings a hand up to the cut on his cheek, and winces as the contact causes it to sting.]
Ahh man, it's totally gonna leave a scar, isn't it?
no subject
It might not! It's foggy out... sometimes wounds heal up faster then!
[He glances over his shoulder, making sure his tail is still working on the humans, before taking another look at his face. It doesn't look good... it's pretty deep.]
Y-You might get some changes there though... that's what happened when my arm got burned. [He obviously means the left one, covered in scales while his right is basically human if you ignore the glowing runes.]
Anyway, where were you going, and do they have bandages?
[because ... yeah. He's going to want that taken care of.]
no subject
[Osomatsu leans a little close to Yuya, looking at that arm covered in scales. It's possible that his cut could go through changes.. what would that even be? Whiskers? A random patch of fur?
That's.. kind of gross to think about, so he's just gonna. Focus on Yuya's questions instead.]
Oh uh... I dunno. I was gonna see if I could get some beer off those assholes but obviously that didn't go as well as I hoped.
[He shifts the crossbow into one arm, so he can scratch the back of his head a little with his free hand.]
I still wanna get some beer but... a bar's probably not a good place to find bandages, huh?
no subject
[Yuya's wondering if this fellow is quick to bounce back, or just an alcoholic. He'll give him the benefit of the doubt and presume the former, especially given how laid back he's acting now. In his surprise, he forgets to keep shaking.]
I guess a convenience store would have both -
[There's a groan from the alley. The baby snake replacing a lock of Yuya's hair stands up and hisses.]
Oops! Let's go!
[He's slithering off as soon as he says that, quick as a whip. Try to keep up! Or grab onto the tail, whatever you gotta do.]
no subject
O-oi..!
[He'll run after Yuya, to the best that he can. For a guy who sits around all day, he's surprisingly nimble and quick on his feet... though yeah honestly, that's only going to last for a couple of minutes before he makes a dive for Yuya's tail and cling to it for dear life. Not because he can't keep up but because he's quite lazy, and he saw an opportunity and seized it.
At least he's pretty small for a 20-somewhat old man?]
