Nothing's going to change the fact that Yuya is the person she cares for most around these parts (and, you know, most parts, unless HER DAD SHOWS UP, but that's an expected demotion), but with things so complicated and... complicated, and their different ideas on what should be/needs to be done, it's a little harder for her to find the nerve to bring up the things that happen or what bothers her. She wants to be honest, but she also doesn't... want to start unnecessary fights... so it's like (shrug emoji)

As for the whole Christmas-and-then-letter Thing (when he found/finds the letter after resurrecting, ftr, there'll be a couple singe marks from where she was holding it, but she managed to not burn the whole thing to ash. progress??), the thing that has her most... emotionally compromised about the whole thing isn't that Yuya turned her down or just wanted to be friends - since prior to letter she's always figured Yuya didn't like her that way - but that she feels he was leading her on. He's the one who brought up the whole mistletoe tradition thing, and why the heck would he tell her that stuff if he didn't want to kiss her?? And then it turns out he did because he does love her, but he doesn't want to date her because he needs to be her friend?? It's just a lot of SAKAKI WHY on her end.
