TEST DRIVE

Welcome to Ryslig's test drive meme! If you're considering apping here, this is where you can try your characters out in the game's setting. A few things to note:

You can only app ONE character per round so choose wisely.
We now have a Quick Game Facts that simplifies the basic information about the game. Good if you want to see what the game is at a glance!

Test drive meme threads can be used for your roleplay sample!
Players with characters already in the game can earn up to a maximum of 6 coins by replying to potential character threads! You cannot use this to go over the bonus 20 coins per month total, but you can use it to reach that coin total. Same rules as normal bonuses apply.

Sample scenarios:

SCENARIO ONE: So you've just arrived, fresh out of the hospital, and already the natives are trying to get on your good side. Offers of food, shelter and other luxuries in return for hoping you don't eat them. They even have some helpful pamphlets to share with you. "How To Deal With Changes", "Alternatives to Human Flesh", "What to Expect When You're Expecting (to turn into a monster)" are all great pamphlets. There's even some detailing certain monsters, and the changes they go through. Some of these seem to have been passed down from one monster to the next.

Among these however, are some... not so helpful ones. "Bunnyipyips And You", "Axe Thief Axehounds," and "So you're becoming a Fur Bearing Trout" among others. Sometimes they have marks on them from previous people who had them saying they are lies, or pointing out good "jokes."

SCENARIO TWO: You've become hopelessly lost in Lager Woods. Paths don't seem to lead where you remember them leading, and you feel as if you're going around in circles. Childlike giggling can be heard from no direction in particular. Suddenly, you stumble upon another character, who seems to be just as lost as you! Perhaps you can find a way out together. Or maybe they want you for lunch...

SCENARIO THREE: The time has come and you've found yourself becoming a monster. Is the change instant, or gradual? Are you familiar enough with monsters to know what's happening, or is it a complete shock? NOTE: Feel free to pick any monster type for this prompt, but note that you may not get the same one in game.

SCENARIO FOUR:The claws, the fangs, the pangs of hunger - horrible as they all are, it's manageable given enough time and perseverance. Local monster hunters, though, not so much.

Maybe it started with a few wayward glances on the outskirts of town, critical stares and disapproving whispers, or just the misfortune of being in the wrong place at the wrong time. Whatever it was, deserved or entirely unprovoked, you're being hunted: a handful of aggressive, well-armed humans doggedly chase your trail throughout city streets and out into the open, and if you're not careful (if you don't find help soon) you might wind up as the next trophy kill claim on one of those hunter's walls.

( he doesn't remember a thing. how he got here or where he is now, all he knows is that he's been sent out a hospital and is able to go about everything any way that he wants. now, with a pamphlet in hand that reads: "alternatives to human flesh", leo hums a bit in understanding as he taps his chin after a small nod. why didn't he see it before? how could a genius like him become a fool? )

If I can't remember how I got here, then that means I had to have been abducted by the UFOs again!? And they left me some weird book, perhaps it's some sort of map so I can figure my way out of this place or maybe it'll lead me towards my next masterpiece. As always, I am a genius..... ☆

( checking the book in hand, he looks back at the cover and an idea comes to mind. maybe if he finds someone native to this planet, perhaps he could beat the challenge that's offered to him and return home. coming towards either human or monster, will the idol raise up the book to gain the attention of who he's ready to speak to. )

Hey you! You! Yes, come to me before my thoughts flutter away and become a loss to the world! What is the answer to this!? ( showing the book to whoever is willing to pay him any mind. ) Wait! Let me think! Don't dare to snatch this wonder away from me! Could it be that coffee is the alternative to human flesh, is this how such fantasy monsters like you all exist!? Vanilla beans, coffee grounds, hot water with sugar and cream.. creates such radioactive waste as you aliens!? That could be a line to my next song ~

Where am I.. why am I here?

( perhaps he shouldn't have taken that wrong turn, but for now it can't be helped as he marches forward within the forest. the constant giggling and laughing doesn't make this hard for leo, it makes him ecstatic to be in the area. he believes that these are the songs that fairies will sing to keep them calm. when a bush nearby rustles, he's struck by a sudden urge within his body and mind. )

I've found it! This melody! This is it! With this I canー

( write his next masterpiece! patting at his clothes in search for his handy dandy notebook, he stops when he finally realizes.. )

My notebook? Even my pens are gone! How far I let myself fall, did I leave them at the hospital? I have to do something for all of it goes to waste! ( looking around for something he can write with, he finds a stick that's covered in red at the tip. he isn't aware of the faint smell of blood that it's covered in since he has inspiration on the line that he can't lose. now moving to the other side of the bush, his wandering had lucked out for him as he finds someone passing time by themselves and deciding to speak up. )

Stand where you are! Give me your back or your chest, your face will be good enough! Allow me to spread my talent across your forehead!

( basically he wants to write on your forehead. )

I have to write my inspiration on your somewhere~... ♪ You can spare your time to a King, can't you?

( Ah yes, here is Ritsu again. As always, he's sleeping behind a bush very charmingly.

Is it comfortable? Well, no. Does that matter? Apparently not. He can't help it, being an old man as he is, when his body tells him to sleep he guesses that just means that it's time to sleep, regardless of when or where he is. Naturally that means that, when he gets lost in some strange woods, with the sun shining through the foliage he can't help that it feels a whole lot like nap time to him. It could very well be a good nap too, if it weren't for Leo and his meddling yelling. At least, he supposes, it's a voice he recognizes. )

Ahh... I don't want to get up, King... ( It's just mumbled, and casually at that. Maybe he doesn't realize where he's sleeping, even though he's holding onto a nice bundle of leaves at the moment... ) Isn't there some sidewalk or something nearby that you can use~?

( has ritsu too been kidnapped? seeing one of his current knights here in an alien world is concerning. maybe after all this time, his own member has been an alien than a vampire. as curious as he is to ask about it, the king saves that for another time as he claps his hands together to gain the attention of his dozing partner. )

Did you get lost? My poor and unfortunate but cute Rittsu~. ( leo remembers a time where he believed that resting anywhere like ritsu when lost would be able to help his endeavors. for now, that doesn't matter as he shakes his head and orange locks shift left to right in front of his eyes. )

No! Asking that won't help with what I need! You don't have to get up, raise up your shirt or close your eyes. Inspiration isn't just limited to one single part of the body, quick, quick, if I lose this, we'll all suffer inner turmoil! This is a song I will dedicate to the aliens that brought us here, hurry Rittsu, hurry!
