TEST DRIVE

Welcome to Ryslig's test drive meme! If you're considering apping here, this is where you can try your characters out in the game's setting. A few things to note:

• You can only app ONE character per round so choose wisely.
• We now have a Quick Game Facts that simplifies the basic information about the game. Good if you want to see what the game is at a glance!
• Ryslig's FAQ is located here, so please take a look if you have questions.


• The Reserve date is 01/29.
• Test drive meme threads can be used for your roleplay sample!
• Players with characters already in the game can earn up to a maximum of 6 coins by replying to potential character threads! You cannot use this to go over the bonus 20 coins per month total, but you can use it to reach that coin total. Same rules as normal bonuses apply.

Sample scenarios:

SCENARIO ONE: So you've just arrived, fresh out of the hospital, and already the natives are trying to get on your good side. Offers of food, shelter and other luxuries in return for hoping you don't eat them. They even have some helpful pamphlets to share with you. "How To Deal With Changes", "Alternatives to Human Flesh", "What to Expect When You're Expecting (to turn into a monster)" are all great pamphlets. There's even some detailing certain monsters, and the changes they go through. Some of these seem to have been passed down from one monster to the next.

Among these however, are some... not so helpful ones. "Bunnyipyips And You", "Axe Thief Axehounds," and "So you're becoming a Fur Bearing Trout" among others. Sometimes they have marks on them from previous people who had them saying they are lies, or pointing out good "jokes."

SCENARIO TWO: You've become hopelessly lost in Lager Woods. Paths don't seem to lead where you remember them leading, and you feel as if you're going around in circles. Childlike giggling can be heard from no direction in particular. Suddenly, you stumble upon another character, who seems to be just as lost as you! Perhaps you can find a way out together. Or maybe they want you for lunch...

SCENARIO THREE: The time has come and you've found yourself becoming a monster. Is the change instant, or gradual? Are you familiar enough with monsters to know what's happening, or is it a complete shock? NOTE: Feel free to pick any monster type for this prompt, but note that you may not get the same one in game.

SCENARIO FOUR:The claws, the fangs, the pangs of hunger - horrible as they all are, it's manageable given enough time and perseverance. Local monster hunters, though, not so much.

Maybe it started with a few wayward glances on the outskirts of town, critical stares and disapproving whispers, or just the misfortune of being in the wrong place at the wrong time. Whatever it was, deserved or entirely unprovoked, you're being hunted: a handful of aggressive, well-armed humans doggedly chase your trail throughout city streets and out into the open, and if you're not careful (if you don't find help soon) you might wind up as the next trophy kill claim on one of those hunter's walls.

[By some miraculous coincidence, the person Fiora has pulled aside is a short, fat, forty year old man with a thick beard and a... questionable taste in vest. However, the scar-bellied person wasn't really confused with why a stranger was grabbing him. He was confused with why Fiora was grabbing him]

Owwwwww! Riki don't like being yoinked in this body, Fiora. Riki's body not as squishy.

[Okay, it's true, Fiora did not actually stop to get a good look at whoever she grabbed (because she was still trying to check herself out in the mirror), but as soon as this stranger opens his mouth, she freezes. The voice! The scar! The questionable fashion sense!]

...Riki? Is that really you?

[How? What? Why? Is this how everyone felt when they first saw her Mechon body? They took it much better than she thought!]

We both look a lot different now, don't we?

[That grin and that wink cements it, even if the rest of his appearance didn't hint at it enough.]

Yosh! Very different! Fiora and Riki looks like Homs!

Ohhhh... but Riki not as lucky as Fiora. Fiora look very pretty!

[BLUSH. She's a Homs again and someone is calling her pretty. Okay, so that person is Riki, but still.]

It's easy for me to forget we haven't known each other that long, huh? This is what I used to look like, before I got my Mechon body. But thank you, Riki! That's such a nice thing to say!

I wouldn't call you unlucky. Think of it this way: now instead of a heropon, you can be a hero-Homs! [She leans in and lowers her voice.] And just between you and me, I think you may even beat Dunban for that title!

Shulk would be thrilled to see you and there's meeee *nopon body wiggles*

Ahhhh! Riki sees! No wonder everyhom confused. Is nice... especially Fiora's hair! It's longer!

[Longer equates to fluffier and therefore better. Like that idea she just shared. His eyes grow wide with delight and he looks around, as if expecting Dunban to appear any second to take that idea away. Then he giggles.]

Ooooohhh... Riki like that. Riki be herohom now! ... Ohh... But Riki can't. Me no have Biter. Can't be hero and beat bad monsters without Biter.

Your Biter is gone? Well, that's not too much a problem, I'm sure we can find it! Or we could get you a new one! Oh, I know! We could get Shulk to build one for you!

I wonder if they're around here somewhere. I can't wait to see the look on Dunban's face when he gets a load of us!

[Fiora honey no, you really don't want Dunban to be here. Trust me.]

Ohhh! Yes! Shulk a very smart homhom! He can make a biter just as good as Heropon Riki!

[He smiles and twirls around, same as ever]

Oh? Fiora no see where friends are? We should go look!

Yes! They've got to be around here somewhere. Maybe they're waiting for us outside?

[...She hopes. She's not entirely sure where 'here' is. She reaches to take Riki's hand (it still seems weird to think he has hands now) to hurry him along.]

Maybe! Let's go Fiora! Let's go! They be so surprised!

[He kind of grips her hand tight as he's unused to human strength and the fact he has fingers, but he pulls her along. Wheeeee!]
