TEST DRIVE: NOVMEMEBER (get it because it's a meme)

- You can only app ONE character per round so choose wisely.
- We now have a Quick Game Facts that simplifies the basic information about the game. Good if you want to see what the game is at a glance!
- Ryslig's FAQ is located here, so please take a look if you have questions.
- The reserve date is 11/27.
- Test drive meme threads can be used for your roleplay sample!
- Players with characters already in the game can earn up to a maximum of 6 coins by replying to potential character threads! You cannot use this to go over the bonus 20 coins per month total, but you can use it to reach that coin total. Same rules as normal bonuses apply.
Sample scenarios:
SCENARIO ONE: So you've just arrived, fresh out of the hospital, and already the natives are trying to get on your good side. Offers of food, shelter and other luxuries in return for hoping you don't eat them. They even have some helpful pamphlets to share with you. "How To Deal With Changes", "Alternatives to Human Flesh", "What to Expect When You're Expecting (to turn into a monster)" are all great pamphlets. There's even some detailing certain monsters, and the changes they go through. Some of these seem to have been passed down from one monster to the next.
Among these however, are some... not so helpful ones. "Bunnyipyips And You", "Axe Thief Axehounds," and "So you're becoming a Fur Bearing Trout" among others. Sometimes they have marks on them from previous people who had them saying they are lies, or pointing out good "jokes."
SCENARIO TWO: You've become hopelessly lost in Lager Woods. Paths don't seem to lead where you remember them leading, and you feel as if you're going around in circles. Childlike giggling can be heard from no direction in particular. Suddenly, you stumble upon another character, who seems to be just as lost as you! Perhaps you can find a way out together. Or maybe they want you for lunch...
SCENARIO THREE: The time has come and you've found yourself becoming a monster. Is the change instant, or gradual? Are you familiar enough with monsters to know what's happening, or is it a complete shock? NOTE: Feel free to pick any monster type for this prompt, but note that you may not get the same one in game.
SCENARIO FOUR:The claws, the fangs, the pangs of hunger - horrible as they all are, it's manageable given enough time and perseverance. Local monster hunters, though, not so much.
Maybe it started with a few wayward glances on the outskirts of town, critical stares and disapproving whispers, or just the misfortune of being in the wrong place at the wrong time. Whatever it was, deserved or entirely unprovoked, you're being hunted: a handful of aggressive, well-armed humans doggedly chase your trail throughout city streets and out into the open, and if you're not careful (if you don't find help soon) you might wind up as the next trophy kill claim on one of those hunter's walls.
aw yams is so nice! helping poor souls
[ He had a habit to dismiss injuries of this nature, they're not much more than cuts and bruises. So long as he could still move, then they aren't something to require the concern. But he doesn't want to argue, Yamato probably just wants to help his unfortunate comrade thrown into this pit. Yamato... is a good sword. So is their Saniwa, whoever it is, and he'll take the suggestion.
The other part he hears is encouraging, something close, and yet, there'e this sense of... emptiness still? He doesn't feel like a weapon anymore. Taking down those who oppose them is their livelihood, but this is different in some difficult way that's hard to explain. He doesn't feel satisfied or relieved, just aware of everything and not wanting to be. ]
I believe I understand why the others have said something similar. Yamato-san... We should leave.
[ He sounds rather melancholy as he starts walking, making an effort to not stare at the messy ground. ]
hes a pure soul sometimes ONLY SOMETIMES
Because he doesn't want the other to stress, he decides to make conversation so that he can at least have some peace of mind. ]
Some of our comrades are here as well so it isn't just us. Horikawa Kunihiro, Tsurumaru Kuninaga and Munechika Mikazuki have found themselves here but.. they've been here longer than I. Yamanbagiri Kunihiro and Kogitsunemaru are also here, appeared somewhat at the same time as me. [ Yamato is going on about two months but the other three have been here and been through changes but when he looks at the other. ]
But the appearance of your body looks like you've been here.. much longer than any of us. I wonder how such a thing could happen..
/cherishes the purity while wading through blood
[ The smile still helps, following it and Yamato. You're supposed to feel some sort of solidarity, to know you're not alone and there are other with you in a place that can be considered Hell. But that can't change the fact they'r in Hell anyway... and it feels like it too. Most of the pain, mainly on his back has subsided, but it aches quietly. Yamato's comment also has him feel rather self-conscious, enough to clutching his shoulder with one hand. He almost forgets about the claws, until he winces quietly at accidentally digging them into his skin. ]
Perhaps it is just bad luck. I would rather have it be me than someone else.
[ The worry remains though. Sword-spirit or not he's still quite formidable; this form and losing control would be horrible... He couldn't live with himself if hurt a comrade. ]
UGH BLOOD IS OUR HOME i love it
[ As much as he hates to say it, if others were able to come here would every else appear too? He doesn't like to think about it but with the other following him, he gives a small sigh. ] You should be careful, I know being something else that isn't a tsukumogami is different.. but that's how many of us live life here. There's a possibility you won't have to stay here and suffer so I do hope that the Fourth God takes you home.
[ Besides. ]
You don't deserve this.
