TEST DRIVE: NOVMEMEBER (get it because it's a meme)

- You can only app ONE character per round so choose wisely.
- We now have a Quick Game Facts that simplifies the basic information about the game. Good if you want to see what the game is at a glance!
- Ryslig's FAQ is located here, so please take a look if you have questions.
- The reserve date is 11/27.
- Test drive meme threads can be used for your roleplay sample!
- Players with characters already in the game can earn up to a maximum of 6 coins by replying to potential character threads! You cannot use this to go over the bonus 20 coins per month total, but you can use it to reach that coin total. Same rules as normal bonuses apply.
Sample scenarios:
SCENARIO ONE: So you've just arrived, fresh out of the hospital, and already the natives are trying to get on your good side. Offers of food, shelter and other luxuries in return for hoping you don't eat them. They even have some helpful pamphlets to share with you. "How To Deal With Changes", "Alternatives to Human Flesh", "What to Expect When You're Expecting (to turn into a monster)" are all great pamphlets. There's even some detailing certain monsters, and the changes they go through. Some of these seem to have been passed down from one monster to the next.
Among these however, are some... not so helpful ones. "Bunnyipyips And You", "Axe Thief Axehounds," and "So you're becoming a Fur Bearing Trout" among others. Sometimes they have marks on them from previous people who had them saying they are lies, or pointing out good "jokes."
SCENARIO TWO: You've become hopelessly lost in Lager Woods. Paths don't seem to lead where you remember them leading, and you feel as if you're going around in circles. Childlike giggling can be heard from no direction in particular. Suddenly, you stumble upon another character, who seems to be just as lost as you! Perhaps you can find a way out together. Or maybe they want you for lunch...
SCENARIO THREE: The time has come and you've found yourself becoming a monster. Is the change instant, or gradual? Are you familiar enough with monsters to know what's happening, or is it a complete shock? NOTE: Feel free to pick any monster type for this prompt, but note that you may not get the same one in game.
SCENARIO FOUR:The claws, the fangs, the pangs of hunger - horrible as they all are, it's manageable given enough time and perseverance. Local monster hunters, though, not so much.
Maybe it started with a few wayward glances on the outskirts of town, critical stares and disapproving whispers, or just the misfortune of being in the wrong place at the wrong time. Whatever it was, deserved or entirely unprovoked, you're being hunted: a handful of aggressive, well-armed humans doggedly chase your trail throughout city streets and out into the open, and if you're not careful (if you don't find help soon) you might wind up as the next trophy kill claim on one of those hunter's walls.

He massages his leg with one hand, frowning, looking away.]
I can't call the Light.
no subject
[Wrathion raises an eyebrow with some surprise -- but then again, if he could not shift to his natural form, then perhaps it should not surprise him quite so much. The Light was a fickle creature in any case, though he dare not say such to Anduin.
Everyone needed something to believe in, after all. He checks the claws on his gauntlet, frowning.]
Suppression, perhaps. I too am...lacking in a way, as it were.
no subject
What do you mean, lacking?
no subject
[His nose wrinkles slightly, unable to hold down all of his irritation in spite of how he tries. But regardless of how Anduin feels about him, Wrathion considers his fellow Prince a friend. If he was going to be frank with anyone about this, who else would he turn to?
He doesn't look sad exactly. Tired would be a better word.]
I...appear to be bound to this form.
[He says nothing of his magic. Best not lay all of his cards on the table just yet.]
no subject
[He can't imagine what it must be like to be a dragon and yet unable to take draconic form. He supposes it's not too dissimilar to being a priest unable to commune with the Light. It's like parts of their identities have been lost--stolen from them. His eyebrows furrow in agitation.]
I'm sorry. That must be difficult for you.
[His words are a little halting, but not insincere. He cares about Wrathion, despite everything. He doesn't trust Wrathion, but it's not like he'd be happy to see the black dragon suffer. He's not happy to see anyone suffer.]
no subject
[There's an edge to his tone this time, but that's the end of it. It must be temporary, something to do with the forest. Must be. Has to be.
And if temporary, then there is no reason to dwell.]
I am certain there is a reasonable explanation for each of our outstanding concerns. We may be able to help one another. Starting with removing ourselves from these wrecthed woods.

He stands, with an effort that shows on his pained face. His aching hasn't diminished, and he has no Light with which to soothe it. That realization stabs at him as he gets to his feet, and he feels a sudden, full-body throb. Ugh.]
Right. Let's go ...
[He squints, trying to hide his wince.]
This way?
[He gestures vaguely north.]
no subject
Are you...injured?
[How are they supposed to go anywhere if the bloody human can't walk? Sigh.]
no subject
[He glances at Wrathion's hand. There's an image still fresh in Anduin's mind, a memory of Wrathion smiling bitterly at him, followed by an open palm. Followed by darkness.
Anduin reaches for Wrathion.]
Try not to knock me out this time.
no subject
Try not to give me reason.
no subject
Oh? And what reason did I give you, back then?
no subject
[Sort of. Ultimately, Garrosh had to be freed to march the new Iron Horde against the Burning Legion. There was nobody who could deny the power in a force of thousands of orcs, all united under one banner.
Alongside the Alliance and the New Horde? Unstoppable.
He and Anduin are roughly the same height, so it won't do much good to try and carry him. The idea doesn't sound particularly appealing to Wrathion, even without such circumstances. So he places the other Prince's arm over his large shoulders and adjusts his weight with some angling so it will be easier for them both to walk.
And easier for Wrathion to lead.]
But that is neither here nor there at the present now, is it?
