He grunts, jolting slightly in shock, and for a very short moment a chunk of what the other man says at the start just goes in one ear and out the other while Ryu struggles to process that.

"O-oh," he says at first, blankly. Was that... Was there something in there just now, about him lacking skill? Ryu blinks a few times in bewilderment before he brushes that off and bounces back, forcing a strained, sort of sheepish smile onto his face. Even though he... Basically still has NO idea what this guy is talking about, he's just going to pretend that he does, because he's flustered.
